    There is a spray paint that they use off shore it turns rust back into metal and stops the rusting process I don’t remember what it’s called but you should buy it and spray your frame and everything under that truck with it. It won’t repair the frame if it’s rusted out but it does stop rust

    Its much harder to put flat spots on a quality 14 or 16ply tire. If you buy them online from priority tire they are around $150 to 160 a tire.

    It’s hard to beat the independent guys that have been in business since their grandfather started it. Then you have the Sunbelt, Herc and United Rental companies that get deals from the manufacturers because they buy so much. I’ve thought about doing this twice but could never get the numbers to work out. Was going to buy 2 tracked Kubota skid loaders and a U-35 but the payments made me nervous and I’m surrounded buy all the large rental companies, 2 ma and pa rentals then the dealerships themselves rent out equipment. Then it’s risky if your shit gets tore up. You’ve got to buy new stuff because you can’t rent out broken down garbage. There is a concrete guy on here that just went out bought a large brand new Bobcat excavator, Bobcat stand on mini skid steer and 2 New Holland track loaders. He going to start a rental business. Financed it all. Will be interesting to see how it turns out.

    • @brandonsdiyprojects
      @brandonsdiyprojects  6 месяцев назад

      Yes I saw the guy buy equipment. Just financed like 300k. Probably close to 5000 a month in payments. Sunbelt is pretty high near me but dealerships are usally dirt cheap to rent from.

    So what happens if somthing breaks like a cylinder bends or somthing like that? Do you make the renter pay for it? What if it’s not their fault and what if it is? Do you put their credit card on file? Best of luck this year my friend!

    • @brandonsdiyprojects
      @brandonsdiyprojects  6 месяцев назад

      I put their credit card on file! I have a warranty on these new machines so if something like that we’re to happen it should be covered. But if it was determined to be misused and/or abused I’d just make them pay as it is stated in my contract that everybody signs. I have in the contract that there responsible for any damages done!

    Hey man I'm in WV and actually came across your posts in Facebook marketplace before watching RUclips and finding your channel as well! I have a Kubota BX and a couple of dump trailers and was looking at buying a mini excavator to rent out. Really torn between going with a Kubota U17 or going with a different brand, whether it be Bobcat, Deere or just a cheaper Chinese excavator. If you had to buy one again, would you get the same one or something else?

    • @brandonsdiyprojects
      @brandonsdiyprojects  5 месяцев назад +1

      I’d get a bigger one. But I’d stick with a name brand. Bobcat Deere Kubota Komatsu. I’d get like a u35 35g pc35 e35 something like that. There about the perfect size for any job. I have a lot of people think the u17 is a bit to small.

      I have! Those things a probably gonna put a hurting on the rental/small excavation business for a little while. I’d say they probably won’t hold up near as well as a name brand and the resell value probably won’t be there. I may end up having to buy one just to compete lol!
