Wurzzag's magic damage army buff is definitely a trap if you're planning on going up against the dwarves. Apart from that, his buff to savage orcs is insane - they end up with 45 % physical resistance and a massive charge bonus, especially for savage orc boar boys and big 'uns which will easily tear apart pretty much anything they charge into.
Yeah it's definitely better to wait until you take out the dwarves to take the magic attack skill.
save that buff for when you've gotta fight the dead.
These are Australian spiders ? Are you sure ? The Australian spiders I know would consider the Arachnarock queen a baby .
my pet spider agrees he (not really a pet but hell hes an aussie ) and lives in my lounge room he sometimes sits on the top of my computer screen but i dont bug him and he leaves me alone but he is huge and agrees with your statement

Australian spider are more dangerous is because they are smaller. Giant Spider are big enough to hit.
@@RocketHarry865 tell that to the big ones here i know what im talking about not all Aussie spiders are small come are huge i know as i am a dam Aussie and live with them on a normal basis
Arachnarock is just the ingame Australian house spider.
He didnt have the savage orc building because it was in the settlement that got sacked. If you look, he had 2 savage orcs in the small army at the very start so he was probably recruiting them with the spiders

1. How the hell does somebody only have 3 settlements on turn 109
2. If you don't like Savage Orcs you're not using their charge bonus enough
The true Savage Orc experience is having the most basic Savage Orc infantry unit have 100+ charge bonus
and have his starting general only at 24 maybe some laaazy orkboys
3. Can somebody pls tell me how you change the unit size scale? Is it a mod or a normal setting?
@@mikec780 you can change it in your graffic stettings I recommend to change in main menu and then load your save .. mods could change it too but there are issues and it mostly only works when you start a new campain
Michael C Know I’m a bit late but definitely change it to large or ultra unit scale. Ultra is the most balanced for all units and for magic, but it is most taxing on your system.
I for one enjoy our new Spider overlords.

with orcs, a goblin big boss on a giant spider, with a potion of strength and terrifying mask of Eee is a remarkably effective character hunter.

I was hoping for some crazy ass situation with him down in Karak Norn area recruiting the spiderlings from that unique building. Arachnaroks are pretty run of the mill.

Isn't magic attack supposed to bypass armor? So 25% magic attack reduction is less bad than physical attack on 80 armor or have I missed something?
magic attack does not bypass armour. Only armour piercing does.
@@LegendofTotalWar Ayy, magic attacks Bypass ethereal units defenses like banshees etc.

I really do wish there was some manner of toggle or campaign setting to de-prioritize attacking the player over other factions. I mean, I understand WHY it's there, it just would be interesting to see how campaigns went without that focus. It's probably tied into too many parts of the decision-making for something like a checkbox at the start of a campaign, though.

Waaghs are great, dont just suicide them like that. let them follow you or pick off smaller armies. get a free stack of higher quality units (for an orc) for absolutely free. Makes everything so much easier
Yep he completely mishandled that army. They're meant to follow your army around, not to be blindly thrown off into enemy territory. Before the greenskin update I definitely had some issues learning how to make the most use out of them since they can't assist you if you move away from them, but once I learned to position them appropriately or tell them to move in the appropriate directions ahead of time they became very valuable to have around!
One thing pisses me off a lot: the AI is just so bloody coward...
Guilherme Alle Sometimes. I was once playing as the tomb kings and conquered the old world only to find that the high elves had conquered nagarythe and ending up sending 7 stacks over into my territories and it was a battle of attrition between our two factions sending armies back and forth to fight. Took about 20 turns to push them fully out then invade them back, but it all started as they broke our nonaggression pact and attacked Cyrus.

The magic attacks buff- they have magic resist but its less than the fact that it negates their heavy amour completely, so it makes all your Savage Orcs full AP
AFAIK magic damage doesn't negate armor.
Any other Aussies keep a huntsman around the house to keep the bugs out?
Magic attacks sucks for dwafs, but rules aganist ethereal units(looking to vampire counts)

@LegendofTotalWar I dont think Vampire Counts have the worst defence cause of the fact that they have 2 types of garrison buildings.
Opwnent ye, but they don’t have artillery and ranged units, and u won’t be building both garrison buildings unless its a big settlement with many slots

its in the advanced section in graphics settings. it wont change the scale on an already existing save file so you need to start a new campaign for the effects to change

I see no point playing on other than biggest scale for units. Always since a series beginning. The only time I was playing in smaller scale was in Medieval II TW after reinstalling on new PC (long before cloud saves - forgot to backup saves on other hard drive) just to unlock all factions (quickest possible blitz for England quick victory).
Agreed, large unit size is amazing, some people PCs can't handle it tho :/
I would if I could, but to keep my gtx1050 at a decent fps I have to play large unit scale. Hopefully I can upgrade to a GTX2070 soon as I get some cash here.
@@vallewabbel9690 Then it's better do decrease any other graphic option. For the most of the time they are not even needed because most of the play is on zoom out range. I mean there is a plenty of way do decrease graphic in way that it won't actually be very visible or affecting visuals during gameplay, unless on really zoom in. But changing the size of unit is ONLY graphic option that REALLY affects actual gameplay mechanics and balance. My PC can't really handle the best graphics in new titles but I always keep the largest size of units at the cost of anything else and I rarely see any difference in how game looks to be honest.
@@KamikazKid I have GTX 660 in latter upgraded version and it's handling fps on decent or even better than decent level all the time (in Warhammer 2 even in 3K but I barely play last one to be honest). All I need to do was decrease some other graphic setting and not even too much.
Don't know why some say magic attack negates armor. If so, why does wind blast suck against armor? Why does units like syreen or Hexwraith are mentioned armor piercing?
Forgot to mention: and why would grail series of Bretonnia are not that good at attacking armors?(Magic attack, but low AP)
its said in another comment, but magic attack ignores physical resistance, not armor. The stat for it is in a bubble at the bottom of the unit card.

Mr. Örtzknörtz I think he was talking about the other unit, the 16 being less than 22. Comparing the two units, I’m sure he knows which one is better or worse for the given situation

Is there a mod to make the ai less suicidally determined to kill the player on a harder difficulty? The whole gang mentality of the ai really ruins a lot of the fun of the game.
I think there's a mod on the workshop called no Anti-Player targeting
