    The Grey Havens, known as Mithlond in the elvish tongue, stands as a serene and pivotal locale in J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth. Positioned on the western coast, it serves as the westernmost outpost of the Elven presence in Middle-earth. Geographically, the Grey Havens is situated at the mouth of the River Lhûn, in a region characterized by its gentle hills and expansive vistas overlooking the sea. This strategic position as a maritime gateway not only facilitates travel to and from the Undying Lands but also acts as a guardian hold against any threats arriving from the sea.
    he environment of the Grey Havens is marked by a tranquil harmony, reflecting the elvish stewardship of the land. The climate is temperate, moderated by the sea breezes that sweep the shores. Flora includes rolling meadows dotted with elanor and niphredil, flowers of great significance in elven lore, which bloom profusely in these lands. Fauna is primarily seabirds, whose calls are a constant backdrop to the lapping of the waves. Geologically, the area features sandy beaches and cliff faces that overlook the ocean, providing both beauty and natural defense.
    he primary inhabitants of the Grey Havens are the Elves, overseen by Círdan the Shipwright, one of the oldest and wisest of the Elves in Middle-earth. His governance ensures that the Havens remain a place of peace and restfulness, imbued with the sorrow and wisdom of the Eldar. Over the ages, the Havens have also welcomed travelers, refugees, and emissaries from other races, making it a melting pot of tales and histories from across the world.
    Historically, the Grey Havens holds immense significance in the annals of Middle-earth. It was established in the Second Age as a response to the growing shadow in the East, serving as a point of departure for Elves seeking refuge in the Undying Lands. Throughout the Third Age, it continued to play a crucial role in the Elves' slow exodus from Middle-earth.
    In "The Lord of the Rings," the Grey Havens is notably featured during the poignant departures of Gandalf, Frodo, and Bilbo, marking the end of the Third Age and the final fading of the elven presence in the world. These departures signify not just the end of individual journeys but also the conclusion of an epic, mythological era in Tolkien's narrative.
    Moreover, the Havens were indirectly involved in several key events of the War of the Ring, providing a sanctuary and a place of healing after the traumas of war. The ships built by Círdan and his folk were said to be among the finest, playing a crucial part in battles and voyages that shaped the course of Middle-earth’s history.
    The Grey Havens, with its serene shores and ancient watchfulness, embodies the bittersweet reality of Tolkien’s world, where beauty and loss go hand in hand. It is a place where the past and future converge, where the weary and the hopeful alike look to the sea for comfort and release. Mithlond stands as a testament to the Elves' legacy in Middle-earth-a legacy of wisdom, sorrow, and an unending search for peace beyond the sundering seas. This mythical port not only serves as a physical gateway to the Undying Lands but also as a spiritual passage to the end of an age, making it an eternal symbol of departure and longing in the Tolkien legendarium.

      I don’t know what you mean about camera options, but the graphics just come from modern hardware - AMD Ryzen 9 7950X and Radeon RX 7900 XTX.

    how did ur make ur fps unlimited? cuz mine is capped on 30

    • @LetsBFME
      @LetsBFME  4 месяца назад

      The games are indeed locked to 30 FPS, so strictly speaking I play at 30 FPS. I then use a technique called optical flow frame generation to bring that up to 60 FPS in post production.

    54:44 All you had to do was direct the cyclone to the onslaught, not wait it at the chokepoint. With a decent offensive you could have take both of them by storm. Don't know if this is for yt purposes, or you are a newcomer to the game, but I will say I'm slightly frustrated at your gameplay. I'll leave a like nonetheless.

      Thanks for the input! YT is filled with all sorts of BFME matches that are played at a competitive pace. I like to play at a different pace, and produce more relaxing content that can be played in the background while say, studying, working, or just existing.

      Unfortunately the BFME games are all locked at 30 FPS, so strictly speaking I play at 30 FPS. I use a process called optical flow frame interpolation in post production to bring the final video up to 60 FPS.

      This option has been available for some time now, and is largely why I’ve gotten back into BFME recently. You can either edit the Options.ini file directly to manually set any sensible resolution you like, or you can use the patch launcher like I do to set the desired resolution through a GUI.

    • @freespinmalaya
      @freespinmalaya 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@LetsBFME what is your resolution ? i cant set it to 2560x1440

    • @LetsBFME
      @LetsBFME  7 месяцев назад +5

      @freespinmalaya If you use the launcher like I do (link in the main channel page), you can simply go to Options > Settings and type in the resolution you wish to use. Otherwise, you can find your game installation directory, open the Options.ini file in Notepad.exe, and manually enter the resolution there. I found my Options.ini file in C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\My [BFME] Files\.

    What a waste of units, this person didn’t know how to use the elf and all they skills. Lindon is an area that takes time to take back but staying in just one area for more than 20 min + not knowing how to use the elfs specials arrows to save command points is a waste also, there’s more units that are better to fight next to the archers so they can open a path to the heroes of the ring.

      I've been playing these games for 20 plus years now, and in all this time I've come to enjoy playing with a more relaxed clear-and-hold strategy. There are countless other channels that play at a more competitive pace with lower graphical settings to maximize response time, but many or even most of my viewers enjoy watching my videos for the nostalgic beauty of the games instead. I'm sure, however, that if I were to train hard and really apply myself, and I mean really dig deep and bring to bear all of my fortitude of character and sheer strength of will, I might one day be able to bring myself to anonymously attack creatives online just like you.
