GG. @16:00 Don't give up and restart. Trying to save your own disaster campaigns teaches you how to work in a crunch. Even if you're going to lose, the techniques you learn will help you in the future at winning. So keep going to the bitter end. It will make you better at the next game.
This. So many people just throw the towel and skip on the actual value of experience. I've fought my craziest and funnest campaigns and battles when having my back against the wall
Jonathan Thorpe-Smith Same. I got hammered as Settra when the high elves launched an invasion of nehhekara and sent over like 5 stacks. It was a hell of a time moving my 3 armies back and forth just trying to push them off (had a rough time dealing with endless greenskin incursions from the north and tiq’taq’toe was annoying me from the south). After 15 turns they backed me into khemri and I pulled off a close victory and proceeded to wipe out all their stacks which dropped them from 1st to like 100th.

What is the Vampire army sitting outside Khemri at the start all about? Legend doesn't pay it any heed.

They are vampires hiding from the sun in the shadow of great pyramid of settra. They are not hostile, nor friendly just trapped :)
That’s the necrarch brotherhood. There’s a lot of lore that I’m not familiar about them, but gameplay wise they always get slaughtered and try to ally with settra for survival.
Now Top Knotz need their disaster campaign to be saved
Lore of Nehekara is really powerful, because Resurrection + Restless Dead combo provides a surprising number of... well... resurrections. Like 4...5 skeletons or tomb guards per cast (and that is for each unit in Resurrection's area of effect), and cheapest spell is 2 magic points, so one can restore lots of casualties in-battle.
It's not even about it being good or bad, it's about the effectiveness. Why restore your units for a few seconds when you could just wipe half the enemy army in 2 casts
Restless dead only gives 40 pet cast wich is pretty garbage even for 2 winds of magic whilst with wind of death you get 1 or 2000 kills with like 25 magic
BTW most of the healt in that combo comes from the ressurection abillity wich doesnt have ANYTHING to do with lore of nehekara

I actually wonder how lore-friendly Tomb King's "quantity > quality" playstyle is. Having an undead-only kingdom means you cannot create new soldiers, and, if I remember right, there is even a Tomb King faction that resolved to allying with the living to get a supply of bodies to create undead from.
I believe that this is explained by the fact that the Tomb Kings raise both the armies they were buried with (each king with his own guards and regular army) as well as, essentially, generations after generations of dead ancestors (bodies are preserved well-enough to leave tons of skeletons in Nehekhara).
@@micurazvan3504 This explanation is good to an extent, but the number is still finite and probably smaller than you think given Nekehara's desert conditions only came to be after Nagash's ritual.
@@dmitriygryaznov9210 they do have the humans in the desert, plus there is also araby that is absent from the game. there are enough human kingdoms to cover their losses.
Дмитрий Грязнов Technically the number of living is far more finite than that of the dead. Nehhekara is one of the oldest human kingdoms in history and was around centuries before the empire. So if anyone is ever not going to run out of bodies, it’s the tomb kings.
I don't think going down the rabbit hole of population numbers has ever been fulfilling in Warhammer Fantasy - take Elves and Dwarves. Allegedly dying out, but never when they need scores of soldiery.

It’s probably more for the amusement/interest of seeing Legend get out of a difficult situation as opposed to actually doing it for the hope of being able to resume the campaign and win once Legend has solved things.

Every time I play this game.
I just started my Setra run and I found myself in his same position... very helpful. Also that was one of the best siege battles! so methodical!
Tomb Kings have always been my favorite army, alongside Skaven and Lizardmen.
When you get multiple Bretonian Peasants to level 9.
You see, you are no longer dealing with a ordinary peasant anymore, but the legendary super peasant!
Why is forced marching even a thing with the undead? They don't need to eat, drink, breathe or sleep. Explain why they aren't forced marching all the time.
Yes and explain why they got fatigue as well

They use magic to move. Its theres 'stamina'.
@@fossilizedanimals5503 very correct, the magic is used to resurrect and bind the units. at some point in battle the damage on units is too high and the necromancer can't keep the body together anymore.
same goes for stamina on the march, the mage has to make them move.
That 40 min siege is the reason why i only play with 20 min limit. Otherwise the sieges are TRIVIAL.
i think he just wants the healing property of the lore... while the first spell is spammable
i love the tomb kings and i want to learn how to play them correctly, i mostly play khalida because of the snakes... i see you do certain things to ensure good traits on heroes, i mostly take wise because canopic jars, always good to see you play learn so much

Usual sethra start, really rough when knights of origo decide to go on you on turn 5 and brings 4 armies and icying on the cake sometimes they do a united against us with vashnar conquest

Always enjoy your videos - lots of opportunities to learn some tricks and stratagems) However in the city assault I did not expect you to rush walls before wasting archer and arty ammo - you've had lots of time on your hands (except for the pain of not being able to speed things up).
I wonder why didn't you bait trebuchets into firing on settra or one of the princes - they are fast enough to dodge even arrows. Wasting their ammo would give you free reign over the the areas outside towers fields of fire. Thus, soul caskets as well as your own archers could target stuff better.
On a side note, Soulblight overcast would increase your archer damage output against, well anyone. Personally I almost never suffer significant casualties in sieges - and this particular layout allows not to bother with towers! Bait towers and arty until you move troops to safety or firing positions, then breach the gate with Settra or prince and fire on the enemy blob..

I had to face a full army of big 'uns as Setra on turn 18 and I still don't know how tf they managed to do that

I have played warhammer 2 alot and I still dont know how you manually place units in a specifik place in your "unit bar" in the bottom ?
If they aren’t in a group you can just drag and drop. If they are in a group they move to the end of the group they are in when moved.
Got a question for people who say start over. Why? Getting your ass kicked is the best way to learn and honestly it's usually more fun than having everything go your way.
There are 2 possibility,
1. The sender is beginner, new in Total war warhammer
2. He do something fucked up in early game..

No, the standard is 20 units in one army, but it's cool bringing two armies together to make up 40 units for a siege or big land battle.
It is the maximum with large armies enabled.

Carrion is worse than Fel Bats, I think. Def one of the worst air units out there. The RoR is OK tho
Nehekharan is good for the ressurection stuff and the 44% P.defense (Settra with ward save + phys resist from skills + warkitty + that spell = Literal god) Also, ressurecting tomb guards is really nice)
Knowledgeable is cool but I think its not worth reseting priests like 10 turns to get it.
@@Haqua_ its the best you can get on a combat priest. other skills that are good are only the cmpaign passive ones
Nehekharan lore is medium compared to others. Knowledgeable IS good when there are many heroes with it. Carrion sucks.
Why do you always forget your summons? They just stand there at the top, unused. Baffling.
He uses his summons within seconds every time. The button to summon is in the bottom right, not at the top of the screen.
Great, another SYDC with the butt hurt kings, now for 30 minutes of recruiting and disbanding Sphinx Priests. Is there any other play style these guys can use that are actually effective in Legendary?
no. and neither in any other difficulty, their units just suck dong. only their war machines and monsters are worth anything
