Killgore Slaymaim might be the most on-the-nose Khornate name I've ever heard.
Legend be like...
"Legend of Total War here. What we're going to do here today is I'm going to teach you how to Edge Train ALL FOUR Chaos Gods"
Edging Khorne is the most dangerous thing to do. That is why you finish Khorne.

Today I learn blueballing the 4 Chaos Gods is the most beneficial route to go with. Smh all these dedicated Chaos Warrior factions are missing out on some sweet, sweet bonuses.
Ca should give stupid bonuses theres literally no point in dedicating yourself
"blueballing the 4 Chaos Gods" Also known as Chaos Undivided. And yes, having the gods fighting each other for you is better than getting the full influence of one of them.
@@Gronnrag Chaos undivided is blueballing the 4gods
the legendary quadruple cock block, only ever heard about it in stories
His skill tree is acctually worse them the normal khorne hero because they can pick two from the mutually exclusive rows. Guessing its an oversight.
Meanwhile Burblesmirk Spewpit is way better than the standard great unclean one. Horrible Regen for any unit and factionwide character HP is something most legendary lords would be glad to have.
To be fair, those skills don't really do much
I think the most useful of them is the leadership and melee damage buff from the lord redline?
Definitely not the khorne authority XD
> The shrieking blades of the Horned Ones
Khorne is the Horned Rat, yes-yes
The 4 characters should not only be comparable in terms of power between them but also with other legendary heroes in the game, the likes of Kroak and Ariel, both amazing heroes, and Ghoritch who is just a bit below them from what I remember but still really good.
And it should also be noted that those characters are way easier to get than fully dedicating to a god, so once again, if the reward is smaller but harder to get, it's not really worth it
Oh rly, did you come up with it all on your own? That's really impressive!
There is so much edge in that name. Which I suppose is appropriate, really.
holy hell, nurgle champion is insane. I wonder if he had any doomstacks with him? His "gift of crow" seems like nice base for making doomstacks.
The other campaign that Legend loaded was from an older video where he reviewed an Ice Troll doomstack under Burblesmirk. It was incredibly powerful. Only difficulty with it is maintaining the troll's leadership!
Yeah imagine that guy in a mammoth stack, regenerating mammoths would be insane.
Late comment but if anyone was wondering about the other two hero/lord rewards. Burplesmirk still seems like the best simply for global bonuses but Skin Wolves or Mammoths with Devastating Flanker and 40% more speed sounds pretty silly but loads of fun.
Azrik aka Tzeentch lord of change reward: Gift of the Eagle: Blades that burn through magical protections, scintillating barriers that deflects blows. Azrik leads a warband of terrifying magical might.
Winds of Magic power reserve: +5 per turn (Lord's army)
Winds of Magic cost: -25% for all spells (all characters)
Enables flaming attacks (Lord's army)
Enables magical attacks (Lord's army)
Barrier hit points: +800 (Lord's army)
Kihar aka Slaanesh hero reward, Chaos Dragon mount: Gift of the Serpent: How can a man cross snow without leaving a single track?
Attribute: Devastating Flanker (Hero's army)
Attribute: Strider (Hero's army)
Speed: +40% (Hero's army)
Armour-piercing weapon damage: +5 (Hero's army)
Charge bonus: +12 (Hero's army)
I don't know if it was a bug, but in a multiplayer campaign I was able to lock the eagle, recruited the lord of change. Then when I rased a settlement and dedicated the rasing to the crow it went back to beeing unlocked. I am currently working on gettin the nurgle lord as well. Just so you know legend, the lord of change bonus is to reduce globally the cost of spells which is amazing.
Wow that's an epic bonus.
By how much?

multiplayer campaigns are *really* buggy with these sorts of things, yeah
It's funny but this hero seems like he would thrive in an army full of low tier high entity number meele infantry
"Burblespue whatever his name is"
We did it ratclickers, we've come full circle!
7:44 My IE campaign experiences in a nutshell
The thing about immune to psychology, it's also blocks frenzy effects like the one from dark elf witches
At least it worked like this in TWW 2
I know from multiplayer games that slaanesh is affected by the rampage effect of witch elves. So if it was the case in WH2, its no longer the case in WH3. However, wh3 has this 'immune to contact effects' trait, which might block it
Werekins were immune to psychology though. Saw the indicator so that guy is even more wasted on that army than legend said.
@@gruuts1844 It wasn't the case in WH2, this guy is talking nonsense. Immune to Psychology only ever affected Fear and Terror.
7:40 this is me all day long. I'll play so many different factions just to play out those first ten turns to see what Happens. Only a select few factions I can go 100 or more turns with which is Tzeentch and Skaven off the top of my head
a like minded soul!!! i hate my list of early turn saved files. tons of'em!!
Captions had a field day with this video: 'Let's jump to the wall here.' made me laugh 😂
Doesn't seem like it was covered in the video, nor said in the comments yet so I will mention it. Killgore has a special hidden modifier (it appears in the text at the top of the unit info card) similar to Oxyotl and Snikch, except instead of scaling damage it adds a huge bonus modifier to damage dealt to units below 30 or 35% hp. Lower max hp lords will die instantly. Testing against Kugath had Killgore 2 hitting Kugath once hitting the threshold. I am unsure of the specifics (Like whether or not the bonus does AP or phys/magic damage), but it was quite powerful, and I imagine it being useful for fighting armies with lots of single entities, as he will instakill most single entities. That said, I doubt this alone makes him worth it, but it was a bit frustrating to see this be excluded.
Well if this is true that certainly does make him better than initial guesses, but I still think he should provide a global bonus for like weapon strength or melee attack. And this special bonus should be displayed more readily for people on his trait, cause the issue with the text near the top of the info card is that not everyone, especially veteran players, are gonna pay attention to those because those bits of green/red text are merely indicators of what a unit does, and are sometimes wrong. Like saying a unit is anti-infantry, but it's not actually anti-infantry, because it lacks an anti-infantry bonus, and has no abilities that make it truly anti-infantry. If I see the green text saying something new then sure I might hover over it, but I also might not. Whereas I'm always checking unique traits for their effects.
I also think that all the options need a few unique skills. Not a ton because some of them, like the nurgle lord, already have a fair bit to spend skill points on. And Killgore I think needs a slightly more beefy unique skill line that really adds on the melee buffs. You could have a skill that grants him deathbringer, something for gorefeast, or giving him the hungering blades passive to add on top of the hellblade passive he gives the whole army. Make him a truly unrivaled hero in melee that just brings the pain. As well as mentioned before providing more bonuses to the faction, cause 1 great personal buff, doesn't come close to as good as 1 good or even decent, factionwide buff. And this video made me a bit sad cause I'm a Khorne boy, granted I haven't played Norsca in a long damn while, so I never looked at these characters before either. I just was always playing Skarbrand or Archaon (and would just confed Valkia).
According to the modifier in the game files, it doubles his damage vs units at or below [iirc] 33% health. Not sure whether the multiplication is before or after resistances/armour.
@@otwk Well it wouldn't really matter if it's applied before or after, if he does 1000 damage, and the enemy has 50% resistance, then regardless of whether it's before or after the total damage he does would be 1000. 1000 x 0.5 = 500 x 2 = 1000 or 1000 x 2 = 2000 x 0.5 = 1000. Armor would be the same thing but only applied to his base damage.
@@darkrite9000 Ah, right.
"Let's jump to the wall here!"
18:00 what an amazing analogy xD
I have learned to edge my norscan dedications 👍
I realy love the way you analysed that one
I feel like confederation in immortal empires should be easier. It would help the burn out problem. By turn 100 I feel like you should be able to control ever legendary lord for your faction.
get the "recruit defeated legendary lords" mod.
together with sfo it makes most of the long term motivation in my games.
also defeated ki factions will band together and therefore get stronger.
games in which a whole race is completly eradicated early are rare and most of the time you have at leas a small bubble of that faction fighting tooth and nails with all the legendary lords together.
it has some gameplay advantages (you don't get shut out of some defeat traits so easily), but i also like it a lot from a lore point of view.
You technically can if you play the right way, but there are certain factions where it's more difficult than it should be. Like if you're playing Malekith, it's actually pretty easy to confederate all the dark elf LL's, but they have a much harder time getting him. Just get an alliance with them and drag them into wars with all the demons/high elves/etc. Get Morathi in war with all the high elves and the Lizardmen and 200+ relations and she'll confederate. Confederating Tyrion as any other high elf faction is next to impossible though since Tyrion is unaffected by enemy strength ranking in diplomacy. Boris also can't confederate Katarin or Kostaltyn to save his life and they can't get him without getting him in 20 wars. One of the most difficult ones is getting Zhao Ming or Miao Ying. In my Zhao Ming campaign, I had to get all of Cathay and drag Miao Ying into 10 wars with Ogres/skavens/chaos/orks before she confederated on turn 140 with her 2 settlements and 400 relations. It's definitely harder than it should be and I personally find confederating high elves to be the most difficult of any faction/race.
For me, it usually goes:
I've been playing this LL for 40-50 turns and... oh, legend posted a new video.
Ohhhh, What monstrosity of an army is this i see?
And start alllll over again.
🤣
infinite value. Despite all its flaws, the TWW series is worth its price ten times over, maybe even more.
If only it was easier to get into...
@@Sercotani Tell my bank account that 😢.
For the love of Khorne, they need to give us a bulk deal if i have to buy 3 games separately plus 12 seperate lord dlc and A BLOOD dlc to play 1 gamemode ln 1 game with the characters and armies i like and want to try.
"let's jump to the wall here"
Jesus, Burblewhatshisface looks amazing, and makes me want to try Norsca. 0_o
Iirc about armor : even if the "cap" is at 200, you actually can benefit from having a higher level of armor because when your unit becomes very tired, armor rating will go down by 25% and being attack from the side/behind reduce armor even more when flanked (don't know the exact number). I think you might be able to benefit from having armor up to 300 from these loose calculations.
isn't it only melee defense that gets reduced by tired and attacks from behind?
If I recall correctly, what made Kihar so good in WH1/2 was not what he did in battle but on the campaign map where he had a 95% success rate for any hero action. Is that still in TWW3 (and given to Killgore Slaymaim) or has that element been removed (and thus made Burblespit the best choice)?
If the buffs were factionwide Khorne and Slaanesh might be worth dedicating too. But as it is I usually go for 30/60/ Slaanesh and 30/60/100 Nurgle to get the Unclean one
What if he fusion with a Gorebull? Killgorebull🤣
Note to self. Tease the chaos gods. The lord of cheese told me so. And I can't tell if he is serving slaneesh or tzentch
I like this format. "Roast Your Doomstack."
A good video as always!
Good vid. But I kinda wish I saw more of the doomstack.... I kinda remember the cheese king not use the W.kin to its fullest aka charge everything for its charge bonus and true wrecking ball of a doomstack.
Maybe next time 🕵
YES more unique content is awesome. please do more videos like this
But what if I am . Really. Feeling. The KHORNE !! xD Sorry but you made me laugh when you said that. That Nurgle champion seems reaaaally good. I'll try it out.
Such a chad name :D
Curious about the other two now.
the 2 heroes are quite lackluster but the tzeentch lord isnt terrible, its worst than the GUO but it gives barrier to the whole army and buffs all wizards in your faction
Uhh, so it basically turns your army of snow barbarians into mortal part of Daemons of tzeentch faction.
good video, learned something about Norsca
Legend of total numbers :)
7:40 Perfect vigor is a character trait, not a player trait :)
Legend of talent scout here: let us see what this resource can do if separated from his collegues
Ironic that he is weak to fire while his eyes are on fire
He should be able to select at least two special abilitites instead of one.
Since he doesn't have perfect vigour, the player has to click on foe-seeker and the other abilities from time to time, ignoring being fresh and +50% weapon damage when fighting low entities units has an impact.
the chaddest name i've seen in a long time
hi legend really loving the content will you be doing anymore early game guide videos really enjoyed those thanks keep the content coming :)
Yeah, just edge the gods but remember to finish with nurgle so he grants you his great unclean one :)
Kinda offtopic but I fucking love his name, fucking killgore slaymaim
Interesting name, I wonder what his profession is.

You wouldn't multiply the damage by 4. That would be if he fought one after the other. But he'd fight 2 at a time most likely. Meaning he'd take roughly 7 (2 each while killing the first 3 armies.... 1 while fighting the last) times the damage. Of course this would be distorted by units blocking each other, aoe capabilities and army losses.
As an example... Fighting 4 at the same time would mean 10 times the damage taken (once again modified by some factors).
Edit: there is more to this. Read replies below if you are curious!
With single entities one full army is already more than what can effectively be brought against it, exception full missile armies. So no Lancasters law in this case.
@@ruukinen you are of course correct. I realized that there should be more caveats added to my comment.
Issue is, that 4 times the damage is wrong either way (even as an approximation). If even 1 stack can't fight effectively against a single entity (which of course is correct), then it might be many times greater than 7 times the damage taken as well, due to how much longer it would take to fight against 4 armies (which i reckon would be more than 4 times as long). Or it might be less due to other factors.
In hindsight, i should probably just put this into the comment, but writing it all out properly isn't something I'm either keen on doing, nor is it probably necessary to get the point across.
@@theStamax No what I'm saying is your approximation is more off than just the simple 4x calculation. Since if the opponent already cannot fight you effectively with all their troops and you quadruple the amount it's just the same as adding 4 consecutive battles into the mix. Depending on the make up of those armies the ratio might be slightly higher (more high damage units such as heroes) but it will never be close to 7 in this particular case.
@@ruukinen Yes, I thought I made it clear that I understood the 7x times part being not correct (very unlikely at least due to the army composition necessary essentially never occuring). Again, in hindsight I should have phrased it better.
My point was simply, that x4 isn't correct either, because it isn't JUST 4 battles consecutively. There are so many factors at play including army comp, larger enemy army size (reducing maneuverability), army losses, etc.
@@theStamax Ah. Yeah you are right that it isn't that simple but as a rough approximation it should be fine. If we are talking actual 20 stack of balanced army against other armies then Lancasters law might come into effect like you said, since then you do have the frontage to pile in more troops.
7:44 I’ve only just settled on doing an End Times Archaeon run after playing 30 turns with every lord
Thanks for the video
Imagine Legend finally rating your submitted doomstack and all he does is *ignore* the doomstack and rate your choice of devoted God instead of being a couch atheist.

Pls people, send him dedications to tzeench and slaanesh so we can get a dedication champions tier list.
OK hear me out. Slanesh should provide perfect vigor.
turn wait times is the only thing keeping me and I think for the majority from finishing a campaign. the end times in the late games are excruciating.
My first campaign that I've finished and enjoyed ironically is the woodelves own campaign on WH1 that everybody hates, cause end times are so fast
I miss the old final gifts of dedications. Generic named lord/hero is just flavorless
It seems like Killgore Slaymaim would be most effective with a crapstack, giving them massive boosts to raise their stats by a tier or two.
Is it possible to drop the devotion down below level 2, or is it capped at each tier level?
Seems counter-intuituve to make a crapstack with endgame hero.
I've never even seen the slaanesh hero before
Choice of lords/race is definitely why I don't finish campaigns. It would just take one great battle against a better army and I would wonder why I wasn't playing as them instead. Often cycles back to Skaven
The game is still in beta, give it 10 years and it'll be playable.
Did they change how armor works in WH3? I seem to recall it working similarly, but as a flat reduction instead of a percentage in WH2.
What do the other 2 characters provide in WH3?
Are we just going to ignore his comment at 29:24?
Legend a small tipp if u want to compare 2 Units: click one then hover over the other and STOP! look at the stats and right from the bars are little numbers in color wich show u how much more or less the unit copared to the other unit has. Stop the vid at 4:48 u can see that Killgore has 13 less armore -48 leadership -6 speed etc. compared to the skinwolf.
Don’t you get a special hell cannon for maxing korn?
Killgore is much more effective in a frost troll stack

leadership bomb ignores HP :P
killgore is fun if you want to have 130 weapon strength marauder champions 😂
Imho an exalted heromof nurgle would do better.
So a doomstack the acilleraries.. if you took time to pair up other hero's to bonus the mutually exclusive skills and raised the level cap CA..hum...Tasty.
Unless you are doing thematic at then yeah doesn't seem worth it overall.
Killgore is still the 2nd best option, the Tzeentch Lord and Slaanesh Hero are even worse.
The take away here is always go Nurgle.
Nah. This is bad information. Azrik does provide global spell cost reduction and Kihar at least comes with upkeep cost reduction and a dragon. Killgore is by far the worst.
This game has so many "unique" characters that have generic skill trees. Its very underwhelming considering it is the 3rd title already.
Excuse me it is Kilgore slayMA’AM
Damn what a bad hero to get from a full dedication. Getting a half decent item would be more valuable tbh. Hellblade ability is absolutely useless, when your units are stacking up to 80 kills the fight has been going on for so long that its already over. Typical CA design.
20.000
They should really implement a character cap in armies. As fun as this looks, it totally trashes the idea behind 2 armies fighting it out ^^
Then don't build a character stack. You have that choice!
Don't build a hero stack then? The only time anyone builds a hero stack is late game, where you can afford to be funky with your units
@@daimpthing Yeah, you are probably right.
