I actually get why the SoB would fight the IG in this scenario: remember that in that little blurb a full half of all Kauravan units already either died or joined Chaos before they even came here. This on top of them proving too lazy or inept at purging the other worlds of Xenos like the Orks. It isn't too out of the blue for a zealous Confessor to deem the lot beyond saving given how badly they screwed up the system and how many of them already fell to gibbering madness. They'd want to ensure the whole unit was cleansed, and damn the bodies needed to make that happen.
As for the Space Marines, Indrick Boreale is later on noted as being an incompetent commander who if he wins literally renames the system in his own ego, so I can see him demanding the units stand down and support them, and then assuming they went rogue when Stubbs tells him to rot and refuse.
Soulstorm is lazy and kind of dumb, but it's not too out of the blue for this crap to happen.
I think this game would make more sense if some of the factions had different start positions. Putting the Sisters of Battle next to the Guard and the Dark Eldar next to Chaos makes for a very odd early game, whereas if it was Guard vs Dark Eldar and Sisters vs Chaos, it would make a lot more sense.
Actually, their starting points are good. The Sisters Of Battle stand next to the most weak willed faction of the imperium. So, may as well see if they are tainted. As for the Chaos Marines and Dark Eldar, they both benefit should either side fall to whomever conquers their stronghold. So, either side reaps the leftovers.

@@KrzychuAugust Not weak as in fighting style, but weak will due to how they can easily be tempted by chaos cults.

Worse than that, the Sisters practically get the best wargear money can buy in the Imperium. Power armor, boltguns, meltas, etc.. But those gentlemen and deployed in great numbers and with great hero units.

That's a no brainer.
Be it the Sisters Of Battle Vs the Imperial Guard, Imperial Guard Vs Space Marines, or Space Marines Vs Sisters Of Battle, they all are following the instructions and orders from their higher ups.
It’s important that you have plenty of turrets and heavy weapons squads to defend your base because regardless of what you’re doing, hordes of enemies keep attacking your base. I did struggle with SOB though. A nasty start to repel.
So funny that the Imperial Guard has Priests, from the same organization they're fighting here.
the moment a few baneblades are made is the moment you win it seems like...so far.
27:50 Right where he has his troops now is where I built my staging area against the crusade and other fortifications. Had some great battles there.
Also guardsmen fire more guns out of structures the more squad members they have.
In the end scene the guardsmen are just standing in the flames like its a casual work day while the sisters burn why you may ask it's simple

I found with this map that it wasn’t particularly difficult but it took a long time to complete because the map was peppered with places to destroy or else more enemies continued to appear. Imperial Guard have low health and morale but they have strength in numbers, their vehicles are strong and they can be excellent at defending.
The sisters had one impressive breakdown when the last shrine blew up.

+michael chicky Any idea why the shots coming out of the field command are plasma shots? Doesn't seem like any guardsman has any plasma rifles at the time, and surely the psyker doesn't have a plasma pistol lol. Does he? o.O
The field command is also a bunker, so it has heavy bolters and plasma turrets that can be manned if enough squads are garrisoned

The Guard has their priests who can convince the guardsmen that this particular convent of Sisters had gone heretic and needs to be purged. So all the shrines encountered are actually false shrines built in mockery of true Imperial Cult and need to be destroyed as blasphemious. As for the Ogrys: well, Chaos renegades can convince them that the loyalists are heretics and they are true loyalists, IG priests are not dumber than Chaos demagogues/lords.
I just send plane on that one to statues. Angel lady can't hitaşr units.

hello,if 11 guardmen enter infantry command does the attack provided by the building same as 3 guardsmen enter building?
unit size doesn't matter, you can put 3 tech priests inside and get the same effect as three guardsmen squads

This is going to be a really dumb question, but how do you create unit groups?
Select troops and click Ctrl + any number to make a group(e.g. group #1,#2 etc.) If this is what you are asking :)

Instead of building multiple plasma gens, build HQs.
why?
more requisition will allow your to build multiple plasma gens ..if u build gens first u can't build army ..get upgrades ..etc u ruin ur economy ..build about 3 gens first ..then build 4th a after 2nd HQ or even 3rd ..depending on Civ
the story in soulstorm is quite bad... imperial guard vs adepta sororitas... they are both imperial factions, the guard are attacking the imperial church. how are they not heretics for this? not to mention that the sister's are often used by the ordo hereticus to fight heresy.... this cant end well for the guardsmenn
Multiplayer comes first, but i agree, the developers could have made IG, SM and SoB allies in the campaign. )

Always got to root for the imperial Guards. They are just normal humans in the face of Gods. With a trusty lasrifle at their side.
seltin1988 soulstorm itself was so lazily made, they just reused all the old sound bytes and character designs and pasted them onto soulstorm with the addition of air support
I don't blame them for reuseing sound, but those airplanes ..ffs it was bad!
