You got my like when you said you wouldn't be using custom brushes at first. I feel that people teaching at youtube tend to depend heavily on them giving the wrong idea about painting for beginners ( like me ). Thanks for that!
For anyone stumbling on, yes brushes matter dont listen to people like him, they can easily make or break your art, some brushes are good for specific styles some are good for texturing, its best that you collect alot and try them out. Professional artists that make those amazing arts that made you love art like lol splash arts, use alot of different brushes.
@@piotrek7633 They can make or break art, sure, but as a beginner, I really just wanted to learn how to go about drawing grass without the help of brushes. Obviously professional artists use different brushes but they're "professional" for a reason. They COULD draw the same thing with the most basic brush in any digital painting software but they're choosing to save time and energy, especially because they are aware of what exactly the end goal is. A beginner doesn't know all of that stuff. I have come here after watching tutorials from some of the biggest YT artists and pretty much all of them were using brushes. It's not a bad thing but that's not what a beginner should aim from. Once you're good at something, it doesn't matter how you go about achieving it. The key words being 'once you're good at something'. The original commentator did not bash using brushes and you shouldn't go about attacking people for commenting their thoughts out. I hope you have a good day. : )
You make everything so much easier, I've been struggling for years with environment painting and details. But this is by far the best and most easy to follow tutorials.
YOU ARE AMAZING!! I subbed right after reading just the description _Finally_ someone who gets art The way you explained everything and showed it all step by step allowed me to incorporate this into my own style which wasn’t very far off but I could never just get a good hold of it before Thank you so so much I haven’t felt this good drawing digitally in so long
Thank you so much for this tutorial! It helped me a lot! I've been struggling with this scenario and I've tried everything but this tutorial was right on spot. thx
hey bro, a hug from Brazil, unfortunately we don't have artists like you here, even though you know little English, you're teaching me a lot, thank you!
i managed to draw alll these in MS Paint....lmao P.S If you didn't know there is certain other brushes that make it similar to this guy's using, and you can blend. so...yup
Hello, I love the tutorial. I have a question about tips on how to choose a good palette based on a given reference. Some bushes will not be so bright but rather darker and more blue tones or bushes with majorly purple hue. How can a beginner tackle the struggle of picking a good palette? TIA
