You know what? 2 videos from you was all it took for me to subscribe. You're doing a fine job on this platform. And btw, your art is beautiful. Keep it up!
7:28 that was a funny unintentional 2 in 1 combo. Thanks for the tutorial! Love the fact you go in even more detail with the cracks and vignet effect instead of just stopping at the 3 color highlights and call it a day.
Found a lot of vdos regarding painting mountains but all of them show the steps but don't share their brushes thanks you sir...you have got a subscriber
Fantastic video! So many other artists seem to gloss over the aspect of building up shading and lighting, making this alot more beginner friendly. Thanks for making the video!
Thank you for the great tutorial ! Turns out after 6 years of drawing I didn't even reach the "beginner" level yet, but I really hope I'll be able to draw mountains someday.
@@TheGeekArtist should i lower the opacity becouse im not in paint but i am usung some really close brushes for the texture lets say soo should i lower the opac or i keep it as it is?
Good tutorial - but felt you went way too quick over some steps and mentioning which brushes specifically you used from your pack. For a total beginner I got a bit lost there. When adding the colour adjustment layer (even with clipping mask) it kept applying it to all the layers below it (which also had clipping mask), how did you get it to only apply to the one layer under it?
If the link to the brushes don’t work, there’s a default brush I found that still works well (atleast for me) It’s the water bleed brush in the water section which should be at the bottom
Hey! Can you tell me at which stage you discovered that they are damaged? While extracting the zip file or while importing them into photoshop after successful unzipping?
Thanks for the tutorial! How did you do the thing at around 4:30 where you adjusted the hue for only the clipping mask for the highlights? Whenever I try that using a hue adjustment layer > create clipping mask, it adjusts the hue of the whole mountain.
You have to do a ctrl + select on the thumbnail of the layer on which you've drawn the highlights. That way when you directly do an adjustment it will only affect that layer.

Your tutorial is really helpful on this. I tried downloading your brushes but it's saying it "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document." I downloaded it and it was listed as an .rar file. I think it might need to be .abr but I'm not entirely sure what files are needed for brushes in Photoshop. :)
Okay so a .rar file is basically a compressed archived file. It's done to save space. The .abr file is inside it. You need a program like winRAR to decompress and extract the .abr file from the .rar file. WinRAR is a free tool which you can download and then do the extraction. It takes only a second.
The title says beginner but you use all these unknown, speed up, techniques without really explaining how to. Its hard to follow for a beginner like me - Even with a pause button.

Mouse will definitely not given the same effect since it doesn't give the benifit of pen pressure that you get from a tab.
