Every time I see a headless guitar I initially think a camera trick is being played on me. It's like seeing a human with 4 arms. Killer demo btw. Just got one of these pedals and it's the hugest thickest gnarliest thing I've ever laid my hands on.
Hi Frank, great demo/review! I just got myself the VH4-2 pedal, which adds the fourth channel of the VH4 and only costs a few bucks extra (it isn´t even listed on the Diezel Website?!). Soundwise I think it is one of the best pedals I have heard, a really a fun pedal I would highly recommend checking out!
Do you like the Gasoline more then? Before I knew about the Gasoline I was going to get the VH4-2 pedal but now I'm leaning heavily towards the Gasoline since you can get such versatile rock and metal tones out of it. The Gasoline sounds so thick and harmonically rich for a pedal.
Frank, do you know if the vh4 can output to both the line out and preamp out simultaneously, so as to use the amp for monitoring and the other to a mixer? Thanks in advance!
I have actually. Also emailed them directly but never got a response from anyone. Nobody seems to know or wants to test it, although I'm certain it wouldn't be dangerous. My guess is no it's not possible, but that would be awesome
Frank, I asked you about the Diesel Zerrer Preamp. Does the Preamp give you this much gain as the VH 4 Pedal? Building a fly rig and only want to build it once..lol. Thank you Frank.
@@FrankFleckenstein I think I'm going to with the Zerrer I like the options of the loop and a second full channel as long as I get the gain out of it I'll be happy. Thank you Frank for the help.. Mike

So many other demo's of this pedal are recorded with an Android or iPhone mic...(good lord, *rolls eyes*) From what you say in this vid, I'm assuming that you ran this directly into an interface with no tube power amp, is that correct? What I hear is the pedal tone, from the: 'out to clean amp' output, with an IR of some sort, right? Reason I say this is that it doesn't have that: 'distortion in 3D' sound that a tube power amp would give. A quick clarification would be great, thanks...

Yes, the VH4 Pedal is pretty much an exact representation of the channel 3, but has a wider gain range to cover more ground.

What are your thoughts on the VH-4 2 vs. the Herbert pedal?
VH4 pedal all the way. Unless you want the slightly scooped Herbert sound.

I am afraid that this is a one-off-a-kind. It was originally a horseman‘s belt from the south of Chile, given to me as a gift. I made a strap out it.
