9th gen gang??
well done, zoov. thanks. i gotta '12, did all those things except the intake. The dp, exhaust and tune make the most difference, esp at high RPM. If money is tight (when isn't it) I would wait on the the CAI and intake (Honda does a very respectable job on that side of the engine) and if you want to add another 20hp spend that same money on larger acura RDX injectors and a bigger fuel pump. You might want to consider E85, but i wouldn't do it if you plan on keeping the car a seriously long time, as the biofuels are corrosive. It will basically eat the engine up from the inside. Do the research to make sure it's for you. But all the above will take an NA motor from 200 to roughly 250. And it won't break the bank.
Not sure you've done your turbo yet, just don't forget you'd also need a stronger clutch too, even brakes maybe since you're putting out so much more power.
For handing, a larger rear sway bar is the single best thing. i went with a 22mm RSB. 200 bucks. HUGE difference. The front sway bar is fine. Then added Honda's HFP suspension package (used on the Si HFP model) for about $650. Both are DYI. Finished off the handling with Michelin Super Sports, which have been upgraded recently with the newer 4s. Best tires i've ever had on any car. The harder you drive the more the tires dig in. 30,000 warranty but they'll only last 22,000 - 24,000. (Costco gave me enough credit for a free tire when i replaced them)
Bottom line? Unbelievably fun car for the money. Only thing better is another Honda... the Type R. But for $45,000 you could buy two Si's, right?
See you guys out there, and keep one eye on your six.
1. Flash pro or K tuner
2. 3.5 inch cold air or short ram intake
3. 3 inch down pipe
4. 3 inch exhaust
5. RBC intake
Lastly. BOOOST!
Explain that to the tommy gunz guy 💀
How much is that total?
What about Coilovers or bags? Thoughts?
Man I will post this to my page again, I like your approach to your Civic!!
Waiting to hear back from the dealer on purchasing a 13 si sedan that has the tekada intake and full race exhaust already on it. Getting anxious and started watching videos lol
@@ApolloTx817 lol you’re gonna love it
Great video man
Thank you for hopping straight into it instead of talking for the first quarter of the video
A supercharger is also forced induction 🤣🤣🤣
instaBlaster.
Couple nice shots of the car and then straight to the point. Thank you. I can’t stand when dudes spend 5 minutes talking about unrelated shit before they get to the point.
K20/24 mod will make your civic faster 😬
Yeah but it cost a lot
Hey I have that
for that kind of money might as well go boost...
@@kuya_mike7813 when u go boosted on the k24s u wanna do a k20 head swap anyways bc of the restrictions on the k24 head exhaust restrictions
@@Rx8Ross dont have to unless you wanna go for 900+ there are plenty of fully built k24z7s making 700+ which is a bit overkill for street use if you ask me. there are some 9th gens making 450-500 stock block as well. but yes you would make more power with lower boost on a k20 head but not much maybe 30-50 more whp. k24z7 was pretty much designed for boost. me personally ill stop at 400-450whp. im not power hungry like all these kids nowadays. just a simple setup to use for time attack and reliable street use.
Love the video man, always looking for more to do with my '12 si.
5 mods =5mins
i like how tune is number 1. ISSA MUST!
I have a 2014 im working on and your video was helpful, thank you.
How’d it go
What size rims and tire are you running
14 FG4
Ktuner v1.2 w/tuner view
K&N Sri
3in catback Yonaka exhaust
RBC intake w/410cc RDX injectors
On my 3rd revision from Steve at E-tunez I'm at 210ish whp. Rbc in my opinion is worth it
Damn only 210?
My ek k24a2 makes 244hp
@@xlsinslx
after about 5 revisions myself and my other Honda nut friend want to say I'm at 220/225whp.
From what I've heard and read on fourms, the head I have is the most restricted head and can't make any good gains with bolt ons like you think you would get. Not sure about that. This isn't my first Honda but this is my first si. Want me to send you my recent log?
You have a beautiful civic. So you from FL? where at I’m in the middle of FL
lol bro you look like asap freg lmao the video was fire by the way
What about coil over or bags thoughts?
depends on your budget and both have pros n cons
What’s on the body? What’s the lip?
What do you need to tune when installing the 3.5
@@ShelovesSasuke Hondata and a complete tune
@ I have the Hondata I’m just not experienced in tuning at all . And can’t find a single video on it . Hondata has tabs in calibration for the sri correct ?
Wave check ?
Could these apply to the LX or EX models?
What turbo kit are you considering for your si? Im still debating for me a prl turbo kit or the Kraftwerks supercharger. Let me know
Makspeed or PRL
If you get a cold air just buy a bypass for 20$ no water getting in
Where can I find a tuning device at?
Hondata website
What are the specs on those wheels? They look nice
Beautiful build bro holy sheesh
Thanks bro
Just found ur channel, luv ur ride. I ride 15, 9th gen as well but not si. Can’t wait to see what’s to come in future.
Thanks bro
Gotta support dat 9th gen squad
Yo dawg it’s DemonFB6! How are your REV9 coilovers holdin up these days? I’m on the same suspension so I’m just curious from another brotha 🤙🏼
Aaron Manzano they been holding up amazing. I haven’t had any problems.
Hey you think a si Wing spoiler can go on a 2015 Honda civic touring?
Probably
How much horsepower you got?
Anyone know what his shift knob is called and where I could find one?
I got the 3 inch invida n1 cat back, so just wondering what kind of rear motor mount did you installed too put the downpipe in? I got a 3 inch buddy club D.P so just asking... also does it fuck up the factory tune?
Yeah it does , you’ll just run richer but you should get tuned, running rich isn’t good but it isn’t bad as running lean and I have a hasport 70a rear motor mount
@@zoovie is it recommend that I change my rear motor mount when I change my D.P? Or can I install it without getting the mount
Besides buying that expensive Ktuner or Flashpro, can I take it to any mechanic shop or a dealer that can do the same thing on the tuning system on the civic?
No I don’t think you can
zoovie So there’s no other way of doing something or something similar before the mods?
He def knows his sh!+
If you like n/a go supercharger?
Really well done
Yo how did you get your boot to fit back on your shift knob
Anyone need a tune? Hit me up
How much
@@domwhips1978 150 for a complete tune. You can look at my page @03_DC5 on insta and I post a bunch of data on there in regards to how I tune
@@chandlerthoma9173 I'm in Dallas, but I've also done etunes as well
Yosh_Tuned did you change your insta? I can’t find it
@@AwesomationGames yes, it's @yosh_tuned
Quick question! if I run this same short ram intake on my stock 9th gen will I be fine?
Post a list with links of the stuff you have on the SI
Ong I hate when ppl don’t include ts
Idk bro skunk2 cai sits 2 inches higher than every other brans to avoid hydro locking & if not since some rbc swap why not use hybrid racing intake it has a a hydro lock by pass for the water when its raining
It floods in south florida I wouldn’t risk it and I have 3 friends who blew there motor thinking they’ll be find driving in the rain down here
@@zoovie fair enough up here in virginia snows and rains pretty bad but idk.. Know couple people who have run cold airs w no issues and couple that have had issues
In south Florida, a lot of ppl running a intake that goes through the headlight or they open a hole in the headlight so air can go through and surprisingly there isn’t any rain going through it
Wassup my guy, I'm 16, about to get my civic si, I want to know... what tune you got?
No tune, jus disabled rev hang
Just download a basemap tune for the mods u have then once you think you’re gonna stop adding mods for a bit go get it pro tuned
What HP/Torque is your civic running right now?
i have a 2018 honda civic ex-t, not an si. is it worth it to modify the ex-t or only the si?
Honestly it's not really worth it. Aim to get an si instead
Should you forge out your bottom end before going to 450 hp boost?
Did you? We should know by now lol
Remove the "SI" logo with a "STI" logo .. that will make it shift better
Swap the “EJ” with a “k24” and it won’t blow a ringland 😂😂
Currently debating acuity or hybrid racing
nice vid, some love from 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
supercharger is forced induction. ITB is na.
Yeah but has linear power just like N/A
@@zoovie not the same but ok
What are the specs on your wheels? I love that fitment.
18x8.5 225/40
Offset?
I’ve been wanting to upgrade my fg4 😳😳
Yoo zooviee what’s that attached on your wing?
Brayan Hernandez password jdm gurney flap
I believe only turbo cars have downpipes bro
k24z7 have a integrated head .. they don’t use headers , we use downpipes
You want your car to last you a lifetime I mean over 600k miles with early maintenance and oil changes ? Leave it original from the car dealer showroom unless you wanna lose your license, lose your girl, or kill someone.
💀 woah bro
If you go through a big puddle with a C.A.I. You will hydro lock your motor......no dude. Witf are you talkin about? Dude if you’re going under water then yeah but 99% oh civic drivers are not going swimming in the civics.
You know how many ppl I know in South Florida that hydrolock there motor cause they went through a big puddle and the intake sucked up water.. You submerge that intake underwater and there goes your motor
zoovie you know how long I’ve lived in Florida? All 28 years of my life. Driving through hrruicane left over puddles, driven during hurricanes, huge ass puddles you speak of. Never hydrolocked a motor. Neither have any of my friends have either. Only time a motor has ever had been hydro locked is A.) mudding, B.) trying to make a car into a submarine lmao
*searches 9th gen si on Craigslist*
😂😂
If I install a 3” Sri without tune then I risk damaging my engine?
No , you’ll be fine .. if it was a 3.5in yes you would
It's useless to run without a tune and even dumber to run a SRI aka (hot air intake)
Hi, I’m new to these mods stuff but I have hondata and I was wondering do exhaust and downpipe require a etune/dyno. I really hope not. Also, I’m planning on getting a 3.5 cai and rbc swap and dyno tune it last. Would that be okay steps to do?
Yes
Did he say $400 man that's crazy I got mone for $40 and works great for a long time short ram excellent on gas so sorry I don't know what u talking about rich or lean not true just make sure ur map sensor is on u well be fine
You have cheap eBay 3in intake .. if you have a 3.5in you will run rich and throw a code. You need a tune for a 3.5in intake. Please don’t give out false information to confuse others.
The first choice you make before doing any mods, turbo or no turbo. It will affect every choice after.
Or SC/no SC. Just FI in general. But yea, you’re very, very correct
The best downpipe you can get is rv6 and the best intake is acuity cold air hands down. He doesn't mention either. The intake he's using and the downpipes he recommends are cheap and gain much less power. Hondata flashpro is also better then the k-pro he's using. Idk about the exhaust being something that will make your car faster either 😂🤦🏻♂️ your better off with a stage 1 clutch or a acuity short shifter.
Those are your opinions bro.. and a exhaust definitely does helps you gain hp, the engine flowing better... also a CAI intake is a CAI intake , the difference between intakes are like 1-4 hp if you believe your car faster cause you got a more expensive intake then that’s you bro. Also a stage 1 clutch is useless and the acuity short shifter is useless.. it’s not gonna make your car faster this video about basic bolts ons , not “how to make your car shift better” and I have ktuner not kpro . Kpro was never made for Si’s. I have ktuner cause it’s a cheaper tuning device and does the same thing flashpro does. Go look it up. Only bad thing about ktuner , is that ktuner isn’t boost friendly yet. And btw the setup of the car is changed.
The reason the k&n is so expensive is because you are buying all the testing they did to make it work flawlessly with the stock tune.
Any 3in intake works flawlessly with stock tune ... 😂😂💀
@@zoovie Evidently not from what i see on all these si forums complaining about emission code errors xD
R u going rbc?
Yes I am , check out my other videos
🔥🔥🔥
Hondata flash pro is better 👌🏽
I agree
The inside is clean
Yo zoovie if you got Facebook you should join in on the 9thgencivics page on Facebook
Already in there lol 😁
zoovie hell yeah! I never see you post much on it haha
Heard u ✅
I have a skunk2 CAI never hydrolocked
God on your side
Lol this guy doesn't know anything! He even says it in the video. Lmao
You’re so right
Or you could do NONE OF THIS and do what I did....PURCHASE A CIVIC TYPE R!
Turbocharged my k24 with full bolt ons and I destroy type r’s for the fraction of the price 🤭
K is the way 🤪
Jawnee facts
😍
Or just turbo it 👀
Definitely the goal lol
This guy knows nothing about cars 🤣🤣🤣
Bruh you have a meme as a profile pic 😂😂😂 .. you haters are some bums 😂😂
