    Thanks for the review! I have one request because like you said there is very little content on this mower and the little that there is, is just people mowing their highly manicured lawns taking off maybe an inch. We need to see how this thing handles some growth, maybe 2 weeks worth, bagging and mulching I’m sure it can side discharge it just fine.

    Thank you for the review. I've been running this exact mower last six weeks or so. Love it. Do plan on upgrading blades to higher lift for next season BUT honestly the standard blade setup has worked very well. Yes, a stray uncut blade of grass every now or then but overall a very good cut. I've been mulching everything back into existing grass so can't comment on bagging.
    Running two 10.0Ah batteries and can fully mow our 7500 SF property with something left over. Charging is quick. Really nothing to critique at all at this point other than it is not an inexpensive purchase but other Toro products we've owned have lasted a long time so hope is this will be the same.

      I already did upgrade to the high lift blades. Sorry for the delay. I did find there was more suction when mulching. I almost always mulch so I wanted the best blades available.

    Thanks for the review, having owned a first year Gas Timemaster, I will let Toro work out the bugs for a few years before I consider buying the new battery Timemaster. Second, they are expensive, costing more than twice the price for 50 percent more cutting area. I look forward to seeing a long term video on this mower. The hole in the bag and the dirty parts make me wonder if your mower was made from shareable parts on returned gas Timemasters.

    you’ll lose a little run-time but you can
    put the regular hi-lift gas TM blades on and get more lift (might get rid of the stragglers) it comes with more of a medium lift set compromised to help run time.

      This is a great suggestion once your grass gets drier in the late Spring/Summer. In early spring a higher lift blade will tend to pack grass up under the deck if you are mulching but if you will always bag or side discharge then the higher lift blades are the way to go...just get ready for reduced run time. However, if you need more batteries it going to cost you $$$ !

    I knew within two minutes of operation my 30" eTimemaster purchase was a big mistake. Setting to Max power and with two freshly charged 10A batteries, the mower had trouble fully inflating the grass catcher. Even after two passes there were clippings left behind. I called Toro customer service and found out their policy is, "if you use the mower there is no refund or trade for the gas version". Of course, the low power setting is even worse. I keep it on Max power and have not been able to complete my 0.33 acre yard without a recharge. Also, the mower randomly reverts to the low power setting and you need to wiggle the control to return to Max power. This is not a product that is ready for release and may find itself left on the curb for trash day. Update: I replaced the blades with BALLARD-INC GB2-65-15 High Lift (thanks ThomasMurphy) and the Mower fills the bag even better than my gas power Timemaster. I also purchased another 10Ah battery and can complete my yard, plus some.

      When I had a gas-powered TimeMaster with the previous engine, I bagged a couple of times each August in my back yard just to try and thin it out some; would never bag mow myself unless I just felt that I had to; not sure why anyone would except Fall cleanup when mulching attempt failed; but anyway; yes it would fill the bag. About every 2 minutes of mowing, I'd have to empty it. Best mowing for me back then, because the TimeMaster is too wide and too short of a deck to ever make a good mulching mower (clogs up the deck very quickly); at least down south after June 1; is to strap up the side discharge flap. Side chute is a joke. It catches clippings in the discharge area and quickly turns it into a mulching mower, and as said, mulching doesn't work. With TimeMaster, side discharging as described is the way to go. Likely the same with electric.

    Hi there, great review. I have a small commercial business i do after my day job, most of my lawns have flower beds and shrubs that i have to mow using a push/pull technique to get under the shrubs. How do u feel about this with this mower? I currently use a 21" battery mower because i mow during dinner hours and don't want to disturb the owners, a 30" mower would save enough time that i could pick up a few more clients. These are nice lawns that get fertilized with sprinklers. They get mowed weekly but can get thick. My 60v greenworks barely keeps up, i have to walk at a slower pace for a quality cut. Sorry for the long post but not much info on these. Any relative input would be greatly appreciated. Again, nice job and thanks for the review

      Nice keep up the work. Thanks for sharing your story. I am looking to do the same. I am in California and has equipment is banned now (stupid). I am looking to get one platform to stock up on batteries. Debating Echo, Toro, Ego, and green works. Unfortunately Ryobi does not seem to be up the challenge. I love my Ryobi tools. How many batteries do you use?

    • @rubbabubba6489
      @rubbabubba6489 17 дней назад +1

      @ajfam871 Hi, I hope this helps... On maintained lawns(mowed weekly) I can do 3 yards mowing, trimming, and blowing off driveways and walks on two 5ah batteries. Roughly 3hrs of steady work. The handheld blower has the biggest drain but I only use it to clean off driveways and walkways, it would never work for fall cleanups. I have to use gas for that. I'm in the northeast, lots of leaves! I'd say the mowing uses 1.5 batteries and the remaining half is good for trimming and the blower

    • @rubbabubba6489
      @rubbabubba6489 17 дней назад +1

      @ajfam871 Another note of interest is research the folding handles. The Ego has plastic tabs that seem like they would wear out quickly. It was the deciding factor in going with Greenworks, they seem to be more robust. I have roughly 450 hrs on my original mower. I don't use a trailer so I fold the handle every time I load up to go to the next job. I did a ton of research.

    One con I’m seeing in other reviews is the need for the blades to be active in order to use personal pace to transport the mower. Do you see that as an issue too, or are you finding it easy enough to move around without personal pace? Or do you just go ahead and power it up when moving from the garage to the lawn?
    Great review, by the way!

    • @jmice1101
      @jmice1101  Год назад +2

      Thanks AP. I saw that in other reviews as well and was wondering the same thing. It’s very challenging to move this thing without the Personal Pace. I’ll just be running the blades while I’m traveling. What do you currently have? Considering the eTM?

    • @AnthonyPerry14
      @AnthonyPerry14 Год назад +2

      Right now the wife and I are using a 21” ego select cut xp to mow about 20k sq ft. It’s definitely a chore. Planning on a tractor someday, but I’ve rented a gas timemaster a few times and think a good 30” push would be the best bang for our buck now.
      I’d love to stay electric, but honestly this might be a big enough of a con for me that I either wait for a revised etimemaster, or just go with the gas model. Then again, the gas model’s tank is so small that I have to fill up right with one or two more lines to cut in the backyard.
      Trade offs all around

    • @mDeltaKilo
      @mDeltaKilo Год назад +2

      On my gas Timemaster, I’ve found if I pull the personal pace handle all the way out and push from the steel bar (not the personal pace handle), I’m able to roll it around quite easy. Pushing the personal pace handle with the motor off locks the transmission to the motor.

    • @chrisj5984
      @chrisj5984 Год назад

      Toro said that they may address the blade disengagement while in transport which I would have a huge problem with in my yard., not sure why they did not figure this would be an issue or safety concern. Can you rinse this Timemaster off with a hose?, most electric mowers say not to cut damp or wet grass, or rinse with a hose.

    • @mellowjammer
      @mellowjammer 11 месяцев назад

      It's because the Toro battery mowers personal pace system uses the same mechanical self propel mechanism as the gas mowers and not a separate electric motor like most other battery mowers. In other words the blade is always engaged to the motor. They would have to install some type of blade clutch mechanism in order for the mower to move without the blade turning (like the gas powered Timemaster does). The issue is extra parts, cost, and the extra mechanical breakdowns that DO OCCUR due to these extra parts (pulleys, belts, springs, bearings, etc) on gas Timemasters. (I've had mine for 12 years!)

    • @jmice1101
      @jmice1101  Год назад

      IMO, It would depend on the battery size, amount your cutting and whether it was dry. I think if you had 3 10ah, you followed the 1/3 rule and your grass was dry. Then yes. I’m going to make another video this weekend where I mow with a Big League striping kit attached. That should be a good test of the battery life. Stay tuned.

      Of course it will, just because it runs on batteries instead of gas doesn't make it work any different, they still get dirty if you try and mow wet grass.

    • @mellowjammer
      @mellowjammer 11 месяцев назад

      Maybe slightly less than the gas model because the 60V model uses a lower lift blade to extend battery run time. The lower lift blades seem to keep the deck from getting "packed up" with grass as badly as high lift blades but it can still happen in very lush and moist grass such as Springtime if you are mulching. The downside of low lift blades is that you have less suction power to stand the grass blades up for a nicer cut quality. They also won't suck up as much leaf debris, etc. as a high lift blades will. It's a compromised blade that provides lower overall cutting performance but longer runtime.
