Putin's invasion of Ukraine is abhorrent. I've sat here watching the news feeling helpless... wanting to help. One way I realised I can give back is by starting a fundraiser / raffle and so, this bike was born.
I've taken this 1970s British steel and painted it in colours similar to the Ukrainian flag. A one off paint job with some parts generously supplied by the folks over at Santa Fixie.
I've set up the fundraiser above where you can donate and by doing so you'll not only be helping those on the ground, you'll be in with a chance of winning with bike.
With a goal of £250 in mind, each £10 donation will count as one entry. Entries will be drawn on 20/3/2022 or whenever the goal is hit if it hasn't been achieved by that date. Please note I cannot provide shipping outside of the UK! Please make sure you include a RUclips username or Instragram handle... something that I can use to get in touch with you after.

Amazing! Greetings from Ukraine
Looks very Kuwahara to me. The paintjob does. Good job!
I am kind of building a bike for Ukraine myself right now. Only I will give it directly to the family from Ukraine that is living in our basement flat since last week. I hope this madness down there will stop soon.
Good on you for housing a family!
Thank you for supporting my country! It is action, not only words! Very nice bike!
You're welcome. Stay safe!
Thank you for your compassion and supporting Ukraine! Good man!
It was August Cycles inspiration that sparked the idea!
Thank you for your support❤
Keep fighting ✌️
God bless Ukraine.
very good job friend, the bike turned out very nice, congratulations 👏👌
Thank you!
Nice color selection and head badge Winners outside uk might want to pay for shipping. Great cause 😎
That's always a possibility if they want to!
Thank you for your support, sitting in occupied region of Ukraine right now watching your video and it's mentally easier to be and deal with stress. Victory will be ours!
Слава Україні!
Stay safe!
Very nice build and great paint scheme!
Thanks!
Hey God bless, your hands has a great touch
Thank you!
Hi! i'm from Ukraine. Seems author of this video never seen or never even try to imagine our roads. This bike can be used only in Germany or Amsterdam - we able only use at least 2 inches wheels on our roads, and cross country bikes...
Nope. At least, not where I live. It strongly depends on your skills. Hence the ubiquitous Fixed gear scene.
I rebuild and gave 2 bikes for ukrenians here in France. 😉
Legend! Good on you!
Thank you for supporting Ukraine. ❤️ Can you please share how much you managed to raise for the Red Cross.
🇺🇦🇬🇧
AS A BIKE AFICIONADO...YOU MADE AN AWESOME FIXIE BIKE. . LUV YOUR WORK.. CONGRATS.
..
Thanks Colorado!
Another fantastic build, and for the right cause!
Cheers VP
So do you first spray a primer on the frame and then you put a first black coat, right?
U can't steal "today is going to be different, but kind of the same' from Seth lol rad build.
Maybe it’s a tribute to Seth at Berm Peak.
@Andres Gonzalez that's what I was thinking, but than he should have said "thanks for riding with me today" at the end lol 😉
Seth's gonna need a copyright lawyer for that.
@@SomeAngryGuy1997 😆
Seth...? Don't know what you mean.....
Bike looks great, and for a good cause. What's the frame size (TT length)?
Thanks! I actually need to check that! I think the seat tube was a 21"
Brilliant project. Well done. Just made you a contribution
Thanks Paul!
Thank you, bro
Any time 🤙
Great idea. What do you usually do with all of your bikes? Keep them / sell them?
Bit of both. I definitely hoard the best ones!
Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much
Very true!
Thank you
I wish tires went on that easy!
That doesn't work for you??
Sweet,great cause as well.
Thanks!
love it, ride the flag !
I've got plans for a GB one now too :)
nice bike, nice paint, funny mention at the beginning like bearm peak
Great idea.
Thanks Mark!
Oh somebody is watching Seth’s Berm Peak channel 😎
Seth? Nope... never heard of them...
Stay on bikes, let politic to politicians and don't belive everything from news. Great job, as always 🇷🇸
This is such an awesome paint job! And a great way to support Ukraine. Well done for doing this, I think you'll reach your target quickly. I'm curious to know the size of the frame?
Thanks Hannah. I think it was a 21" seat tube although I'd have to double check that.
not seen Weinmann centre-pulls of ages - nice!!
kudos on the build. let's hope common sense and humanity prevails soon.
Common sense would be great but it's never common is it, especially with egotistical politicians (on all sides!)
Bardzo fajny pomysł. Brawo
Polski? Dzięki!
@@MonkeyShred tak jestem z Polski i uwielbiam twoje filmy. Czekam na nowe. Pozdrawiam
Nice! Add a rack for an RPG launcher and ship it :)
Like some of the old WW1/WW2 bikes then!
Kuwahara tiger paint job 😍
I can see the similarities
Spraymax 2k Varnish, matt or gloss?
Paint brand, varnish brand, primer brand, you can show every cans. Because i prepare my bicycle for to paint. I search every thing. 17 days later, i paint my bicycle. 🥳👍
Thanks for sharing. Very nice video.
Spraymax 2k Gloss. The rest was a mix of whatever I had lying around.
Great build, great cause. Here's to a big success to the raffle!
I can't quite believe how it's going so far! It's amazing.
@@MonkeyShred That's awesome! If I was in the UK I would have too. Good luck again!
Thank you! This really means a lot. Just recently I've bought myself a new bike after two year break in cycling and I was so happy to ride again. One of my first words were that I'm the happiest man in the world and even if I die in a week or so it was still a good purchase. I still mean it, but I didn't want my words to be prophetic. War kills all fun in life and life itself. I can't read, can't ride even though I'm not in the army now and my city only sometimes gets missile attacks (al least for now). Thanks again!
Stay safe dude! Hopefully an end is in sight!
@@MonkeyShred Thank you! Let's hope so.
My country approves of the paint job слава Україні:)
Thanks Olek.
Great job. Happy to make my contribution. Just sorry I had to give some thumbs down to some of the comments. Beyond belief that anyone could look at this situation and think that right lies with Putin.
I got sent that comment earlier. I had no notification of it and it didn't appear in my comment list at all! It's gone now.
I'm on a meager fixed income so I unfortunatly can't donate. I love the head tube badge
That's absolutely fine! The headbadge was actually in a sticker pack School Yard Projects sent me. Works well!
great stuff man!
Thanks!
Nice
Thanks
wow, thanks man. We deeply appreciate your contribution. Glory UK. Слава Україні.
You're welcome, it's the least we could do.
Tu trabajo está regular
😉👍💙💛🌻
When can we get the bike for Palestine?
If I can afford it again!
Pero porque el stiker si no es una fija?
Porque Santa Fixie ayudó con algunas partes.
Selama Naruto pergi beli telur,
Sprite di car wash,
Senyum pak dede,
Ura!
Uuuuurrraaaaaaaaa💂💂💂uuuuuurraaaaaaaa
No idea what that means at all.
Nice job!
Thanks Stephen
So cool. I’m also building up an old blue Diamondback Ascent with yellow cables and thought about selling it and donating the proceeds to the Red Cross for Ukraine. Ran into some FD issues I couldn’t fix so brought it to my LBS to sort it. Hope that doesn’t eat into the profit margin.
Good luck with the build JP
Awesome job.... where do I sign up I have various bikes in different states of repair (including a vintage lightweight Lance Armstrong looking bike) that I would love to get rid of to help Ukraine
I just used Just Giving to set up the donation page after seeing another group do it.
Berm peak intro
Shhhhh!
Thank you from Ukraine) 😊
You're welcome. Stay safe!
Great build! Absolutely brilliant! Slava Ukraini! 🇺🇦
Thank you!
Thanks for the support! 🇺🇦
It's the least I could do.
My proposal would be to paint it in army green with a camouflage decor.
Attach a grenade launcher to the fork mount,a rifle holder and a framebag to put the grenades in, on the upper tube.
The ammunition box can be mounted on the luggage rack.
And tubeless bulletproof tires of course :)
BTW: the middle finger has to be directed towards the enemy
Oh you've seen some of the bikes from WW1 and WW2 then!
this is not for ukraine, this his for money
It's definitely not my money. I'm not touching any of the donations.
no bike for syria ? palestina ? irak ?
No. Not yet. Plenty of causes around the world to get involved with though. You could always build a bike and donate it while you’re waiting though right? Look forward to see what you can build.
Дякуємо за підтримку. Слава Україні!
Thanks for support. Glory to Ukraine!
We all need to stand together in any way we can.
Did you support Serbia,Syria,Iraq, Iran, Lybia, Somalia and other😡😡
Serbia? Are we talking the 90s war? No. I was in primary school. Syria. Iraq. Nope. I was younger and not as informed etc then. Same for Libya I guess. Hasn’t the Somalian war been going on since the 90s too? Again. Primary school.
Can I ask what have you done to support all these causes?
The wonderful thing about being human is that we can develop understandings of things more as we grow older. These days I like to help where I can. Can I afford it? Probably not. Can I afford to give to EVERY SINGLE CHARITY in the world? Hell no. I’ll support where I can. It’s kind of strange that helping make you mad…
What have you done Milo, apart from the angry faces? Maybe... nothing? 😐 🇺🇦🇬🇧
Great job. If you're interested to help I can share you contacts of Kiev's and Lviv's bike activists whom you can send this bike to. This gonna help guys a lot to deliver meds and loads within destroyed areas more agile since cars can't pass in certain spots. Slava Ukraini!
Thank you for your support! ❤️🇺🇦
It's the least we could do!
ukraine needs drone not cycle
I think you misunderstood the goal. To raise money for the humanitarian effort in Ukraine though the bike.
Can you also do one for Palestine????
Only just Palestine? What about Yemen? What about those folks in China? Geez there’s a lot to be giving to eh? Maybe you can jump on board and do a bike to give away?
@@MonkeyShred it would be a good start. Palestinians have been suffering for a long time, people in africa as well, yet when its ‘blue eyed and blomd hair people’ it OMG
@@deenoblak8207 nobody has mentioned hair or eye colour except yourself. Seems a little sus…
But yeah, I’ll ask again, why don’t you step up and do something?
@@MonkeyShred i never you did but media has, how donyou know im not doing anything?? How come you dont have ‘bike’ for anywhere africa or middle east but as soon as it blue eyed and blond hair the whole world stops!?!?
@@deenoblak8207 Again. Nobody has mentioned hair or eye colour but you. You’ve coke on here to whinge and cry. Instead of spending your time crying on the internet why don’t you do something to help the causes that are close to you or your home? I’m doing my bit to help a cause closer to my home as I’ve done in the past with other causes.
You should also stop labelling the people of Ukraine by a hair and eye colour. It really is a bit sus…
What about a bike for Afghanistan, Yemen, Palestine, Irak ?
See previous responses. What about bikes for all those suffering with cancer? Living below the poverty line? Homeless? There are so many causes around the world. If you’re passionate about them (which I assume you are as you’re asking) why don’t you build a bike and/or raise money?
@@MonkeyShred I did but the truth is people like you care exclusively about white people.
Yeah not a good time to be sending bikes to a country being blown up maybe after the madness
Great job! After this let make bike for yemen, uighur, palestine, etc2.
I'd genuinely love to give back more.
That's one cheap looking bike...
