Hasan Wilson You’ve a good point. The dragons *loved* Ben, & he wasn’t exaggerating when he spoke of his “drop” of dragon blood. Prince Quentyn had 2 tbs, and the dragons didn’t smell it. Ben was def sneaking them chunks of lamb & veal.
It's speculated house Plumm might actually have two drops of Targaryen blood since there's a theory that Elaena Targaryen might have got pregnant by Aegon IV instead of Old Man Plumm.
A lot more houses with Targaryen blood (possibly) out there if you follow the female line. So, the only Great Houses known to have Targ blood are Baratheon and Martell. Lesser but still important houses are Velaryon, Plumm and Penrose. These are the only five houses known to have Targ blood directly by a Targaryen woman marrying into the line. There is also House Longwaters, a minor house which is a bastard cadet branch of House Velaryon started by a bastard son of a Velaryon man and a Targaryen woman. Other houses may have some Targ blood, but it would be through people from other houses with some Targ ancestry marrying into yet other houses. Basically, people in other houses will have some small amount of Targaryen blood if they are descended from women from houses Baratheon, Martell, Velaryon, Plumm, Penrose or Longwaters (in the appropriate generations) or from the six Hightower daughters (with no brothers) born to a Targaryen mother.

Blood is a body fluid in humans and other animals that delivers necessary substances such as nutrients and oxygen to the cells and transports metabolic waste products away from those same cells. In vertebrates, it is composed of blood cells suspended in blood plasma. Plasma, which constitutes 55% of blood fluid, is mostly water (92% by volume), and contains proteins, glucose, mineral ions, hormones, carbon dioxide (plasma being the main medium for excretory product transportation), and blood cells themselves. Albumin is the main protein in plasma, and it functions to regulate the colloidal osmotic pressure of blood. The blood cells are mainly red blood cells (also called RBCs or erythrocytes), white blood cells (also called WBCs or leukocytes) and platelets (also called thrombocytes). The most abundant cells in vertebrate blood are red blood cells. These contain hemoglobin, an iron-containing protein, which facilitates oxygen transport by reversibly binding to this respiratory gas and greatly increasing its solubility in blood. In contrast, carbon dioxide is mostly transported extracellularly as bicarbonate ion transported in plasma. Vertebrate blood is bright red when its hemoglobin is oxygenated and dark red when it is deoxygenated. Some animals, such as crustaceans and mollusks, use hemocyanin to carry oxygen, instead of hemoglobin. Insects and some mollusks use a fluid called hemolymph instead of blood, the difference being that hemolymph is not contained in a closed circulatory system. In most insects, this "blood" does not contain oxygen-carrying molecules such as hemoglobin because their bodies are small enough for their tracheal system to suffice for supplying oxygen. Jawed vertebrates have an adaptive immune system, based largely on white blood cells. White blood cells help to resist infections and parasites. Platelets are important in the clotting of blood. Arthropods, using hemolymph, have hemocytes as part of their immune system. Blood is circulated around the body through blood vessels by the pumping action of the heart. In animals with lungs, arterial blood carries oxygen from inhaled air to the tissues of the body, and venous blood carries carbon dioxide, a waste product of metabolism produced by cells, from the tissues to the lungs to be exhaled. Medical terms related to blood often begin with hemo- or hemato- (also spelled haemo- and haemato-) from the Greek word αἷμα (haima) for "blood". In terms of anatomy and histology, blood is considered a specialized form of connective tissue, given its origin in the bones and the presence of potential molecular fibers in the form of fibrinogen.

I never understood why there were at least three Targaryen-Hightower marriages. Yeah, they're probably the second most powerful family in the Reach, but the Tyrells are of a higher rank than them. As well as every other Great House. You could have married the gold rich Lannisters, the food rich Tyrells, or the Tullys who live in the proverbial heart of all of Westeros and make great allies in war. Yet the Hightowers are the most appealing to them.
The Hightowers are rich and rulers of Oldtown, nominally bending the knee to the Tyrells. They are also very political, with members being Lord Commander of Kingsguard, Hands of the King etc The Tyrells seem to be content with their wealth and status as they also have the largest army. In fact of the ruling houses of Westeros only Dorne's Martells have actually sent a queen and/or princess to Westeros more than once
I dont think the Targs wanted to risk the rich and powerful Lannisters becoming dragonriders. The Tyrells and Tullys were (and still are by some) considered upstarts, since neither families were kings before the conquest.
One thing I don’t get is when Aerys sent. Stefon to get rhaegar a Valyrian bride why don’t he just go to house velaryon or celtigar if doesn’t make any sense
TheINfinityWarden 775 it could be that there were no available female members of either houses of the right age at that point in time. Not to mention neither houses are significant, the Velaryons were great and wealthy like a century ago, but they lost most of their power after the Dance of Dragons.
I think Doran has the Conqueror's crown. Daeron I lost it in Dorne after all. Keep in mind that very few people can rework Valyrian steel, and why would the Martells melt down this powerful symbol for a stupid dagger?
Delgado Sanchez The dagger in the book was very plain; a valyrian steel dagger with a dragonbone hilt. No gems, no gold. The reason Joffrey chose that specific dagger was due to its plain appearance; Joffrey didn’t know the difference between valyrian steel & regular steel.

@@SantomPh The Targaryen's promised Cregan Stark a Targaryen princess to insure his allegiance to the Blacks not because they wanted to join the two houses. Also politics aside you would think house Targaryen would be interested in mixing blood with house Stark because of their ancient history and possible family magic.
Could you imagine if the targs got skinchanging into thier bloodline
I have always thought it was funny that King Rob Baratheon wanted to eradicate the Targaryen's seeing as he was a descendant of a Tragaryen bastard. This actually applies to so many characters.
Robert was the grandson of Rhaelle Targaryen.
I think Robert wanted to die anyway, in the show he says, “… while I eat, drink, and whore my way into an early grave.” So in a sense he’s killing himself knowingly.
And the great-grandson of King Aegon V
I always laughed when I found out there was a family in Game Of Thrones with the last name Penrose seeing as that’s my last name 😂🤣

In the World of Ice and Fire, it was mentioned that House Tarth has ancestry from House Targaryen.

@@bartimaeusofuruk9681 On page 232 ( the stormlands section) it mentions that the "Tarths boast of blood-ties to the Durradons, Baratheons and more recently the Targaryens."
@@Tgsva352 wow, I totally forgot about that. If I had to guess, I'd say one of Elaena's daughters in house Penrose (or one of their descendants) married into house Tarth. Brienne has the blood of the Dragon!!1!11!
@@bartimaeusofuruk9681 One of the current theories is that Ser Duncan got one of Eggs sisters pregnant and she was quickly married off to a childless Lord Tarth.
I think it was speculated that one of Aegon V sisters, Daella or Rhae, that married into Tarth.
I wish Quentyn was in the show that would have been a cooler twist for the show knowing that Dorne has a secret pact to marry Daenerys to Quentyn
llody_ lux crazy that the Martell’s the family that resisted Targaryen rule the longest would end up being their only ally after Robert’s Rebellion/exile to Essos
This is one of your best videos in my opinion, the idea may not be exiting, but you made it into an amazing video.
When The Targaryen family is extended its offspring and cousins, it needs to cut loose of its younger offspring or distant cousins to form their own cadet houses.
House Velaryon is only other house outside Targaryens to have dragons.
@Notorious1503 they can they have targaryen blood
@Notorious1503 they did, Laena Velaryon and Laenor Velaryon tamed Dragons. and another Laena Velaryon hatched a dragon egg
though the Velaryons only tamed dragons when they have Targaryen blood
nor really, the dragons were lend to them by house targaryen
Raging Sage 17 Addam Valeryon was not of the Targaryen blood and yet he tamed a dragon.
Lynesse Hightower is the youngest daughter of Lord Leyton Hightower. She was the second wife of Ser Jorah Mormont and is now the chief concubine of Tregar Ormollen in Lys. The beautiful Lynesse has golden hair and she looks similar to Daenerys Targaryen. The other daughter of Lord Leyton and the spouse of Lord Mace Tyrell of Higharden is Lady Alerie. Alerie is tall, dignified, and handsome, with long silver hair. Golden-silver hair is Targarien trait, so I think dragonblood is strong in Hightower. Alerie is the mother of his four children. So Margery and her brothers is also dragonseeds.
Valyrians have silver, almost white hair. Not golden.
@@SantomPh Aegon I Targaryen was tall, broad-shouldered and powerful in appearance, with purple eyes and short-cut silver-gold hair. Rhaenys was a beautiful woman with silver-gold hair, which she kept long and wore loose, and a slender body.Like her siblings, Visenya possessed the classical Valyrian features: long, silver-gold hair, which she often braided or bound up in rings, and purple eyes.
Rhaena Targaryen hair was more gold than silver. Elaena Targaryen hair was a platinum white with a bright golden streak down the middle. DaenerysTargaryen has pale silver-gold hair. Et cétéra. Targaryens have silver-gold hair.
There's a theory that both House Dayne and House Hightower are Housed directly descended from the "Great Empire of the Dawn" just like the Valyrians.

@Tommy De Sadi exactly same, Even Season 6 was amazing only because of Battles & the way they executed it, Direction/Music Composition etc.. especially last 2 episodes 6*9 & 6*10
Same goes for Season 7, only good thing imo were the 2 battles & I can attest to it despite me being die hard fan of GOT
It has begun.
@Taliban Scum Look on the bright side you can read the books.
I'm not sad, I'm disappointed.

Brown Ben most likely gave them food when no one was looking. Cuz for the dragons to acknowledge heavily diluted blood from over a hundred years ago is rather strange especially when Quinton tried to do the same thing ain't got a different outcome
Hasan Wilson you made many comments
@@azarishere6442that's what I was thinking... he should combined all of them into one
Hasan Wilson it only works with certain people. Not every Targaryean was able to claim a dragon. It depends on each person.
It's speculated house Plumm might actually have two drops of Targaryen blood since there's a theory that Elaena Targaryen might have got pregnant by Aegon IV instead of Old Man Plumm.
A lot more houses with Targaryen blood (possibly) out there if you follow the female line. Do any of these have offspring?...

@Marc Burde - oh yeah? Where does the Targ blood get into House Tarth? Thanks
@Marc Burde - okay, thanks. Is that from World of Ice and Fire? And your suggestion is that Dunk and a Targ princess had a daughter that married into House Tarth? Interesting.
@Marc Burde - okay, interesting. Under that second scenario Brienne is not actually a blood descendent of House Tarth at all, but is descended in the male line from Dunk, not a Lord of Tarth... I guess Whycreate missed this one from his video...
Marc Burde - yeah, great vid. I would have thought impregnating a princess outside of wedlock would always be a bit of dangerous thing to do, but I will have to go back and look at the details...
Free city of Lys still has strong Valyrian ancestry bro, even among the peasants
back in old valria the dragon lord family's like the targeryen the did somthing magical to bond with dragon they bred with them and use magic ect so now the magic to bound and hatch with them is just genetically inside of them and they have speacial traits like silver blonde hair purple eyes high heat tolerance and dragon dreams

I stand by the theory that Quentyn wasn't actually burned and killed by the dragons but faked his death.
Tyrion Lannister maybe, he was able to stand close and even pet the dragons after he freed them.
And Tywin only saved him because of his Lannister blood from Joanna so it seems he may have been a Targaryen. Shame it wasn't addressed properly by the end of the show.

All this info was in the fire and blood book?
In terms of anatomy and histology, blood is considered a specialized form of connective tissue, given its origin in the bones and the presence of potential molecular fibers in the form of fibrinogen.
who cares?
Oh fuck of Stella
Stella Recent studies have found blood production is also carried out by the lungs!

i thought house velaryon were dragon riders? seasmoke?
I never understood why there were at least three Targaryen-Hightower marriages. Yeah, they're probably the second most powerful family in the Reach, but the Tyrells are of a higher rank than them. As well as every other Great House. You could have married the gold rich Lannisters, the food rich Tyrells, or the Tullys who live in the proverbial heart of all of Westeros and make great allies in war. Yet the Hightowers are the most appealing to them.
The Hightowers are rich and rulers of Oldtown, nominally bending the knee to the Tyrells. They are also very political, with members being Lord Commander of Kingsguard, Hands of the King etc
The Tyrells seem to be content with their wealth and status as they also have the largest army.
A little hint.
You have to deposit your videos with music.
Keep it up✌
Everyone seems to forget about House Qoherys
One thing I don’t get is when Aerys sent. Stefon to get rhaegar a Valyrian bride why don’t he just go to house velaryon or celtigar if doesn’t make any sense
TheINfinityWarden 775 it could be that there were no available female members of either houses of the right age at that point in time. Not to mention neither houses are significant, the Velaryons were great and wealthy like a century ago, but they lost most of their power after the Dance of Dragons.
Legit thought this was about Sekiro because of the thumbnail
Reminds me of RH negative blood types.
So you're telling me it's much easier than we think to revive the blood of the dragon riders if families with Targeryen blood inter-marry?
Do you think maybe a catspaw dagger was made from the crown of Egon conqueror. The crown was made of valyrian steel and had rubies.
Is arya related to gendry because of john:( John and stuff I'm probably wrong about this but rhaegar viserion and Daenerys are cousins with Robert baratheon and Robert's kid is gendry and John's aunt is Daenerys and arya is cousins with john so that means rhaegar would be there uncle and I forgot what I was doing so are they related and Daeneryss nephew would be gendry and arya
Great video! I believe Fire and Blood showed that the Valeryons were also dragon riders. Also, Bittersteel and Bloodraven were Great Bastards..
it is nothing new that Velaryons rode dragons later.
But back then in Valyria they weren't dragonlords
@@Kopfschuss87 Can we say that with confidence? The Sea Snakes grandson(son) was of common birth on one side and Velaryon on the other side, and he was able to ride dragons. could for sure be wrong, but I don't remember any mention of Corlys having Targ blood, though it may have been implied. If the blood of old Valaryia is what makes it possible for people to ride dragons, then they should have that part covered. Is it possible they had the blood but not the social status to keep dragons? If i'm not mistaken, the Targs were only one step above the Valeryons status wise, so it seems it may be possible to have the ability but not have the access when it comes to dragons, so to speak.
Targaryen blood passed down outside of of the tradition (incest) is very thin with the exception of John Snow because his blood came directly from Rhaegar Targaryen, still it was not pure but stronger than Baratheon blood.
