- THE NEW Defender V8 is here and Land Rover is bringing big time power. On the outside you will find the familiar lines of the Defender with the addition of black accents, rock guards, 22in wheels and quad-tip exhaust. On the inside there is an Alcantara wrapped steering wheel, and special interior. Under the hood is a 5.0L supercharged V8 pumping out 550HP & mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2023 Land Rover V8 Carpathian Edition performance SUV worth it?

@@bernardking13 No way. I’ve driven a Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. They are nice but I still prefer an Escalade or Yukon Denali over them both. This style is so different that’s why I like it.
@@brianfilipowski9165 escalade is nice but they keep adding a MAP when you buy them. Guy wanted 17k on top of built price. You can keep it. And the Yukon hell no, that interior is trash, exterior might be nicer but that's all it got on it.

Brilliant review! When they said that they were going to re-do the defender, I though they would mess it up. They nailed every single bit. Then they put the 5l s/c in there. An absolute masterpiece! We’ll done. All I have to do now is win the lottery.
Land rover did it right and gave us a powerful V8 to match to this beast. They made the right choice to do so thats for sure

Thought about Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro, but this One ☝🏻 kicks butt. No worries about all the rubber mats, nets behind the front seats because that’s so you can hose it down inside when muddy. I heard it has water drains on the floor inside…😘👌

Once I had a Land Rover, the best thing I ever drove; unfortunately I had my first accident, combined with a divorce, I also lost my house, had to sell some firearms, and I also had to pawn a 74’ Fender Strat; I hope God has a better plan next…

U can get extra seats in a 110 model.
2 seats, 7 in total
But Row 3 Room not massive
No problem for kids, but tight for tall people / adults.
OR
The new 130 model has more length at the rear
More boot space and proper room in Row 3
Adults can fit
And Row 3 in the 130, seats 3 people, 8 seats in total

Landrover is one of the best cars in terms of holding their value. Especially compared to Mercedes and BMW. And their customer service is the best in the biz for repairs, especially with the great warranty 💪🏻

As much as a beauty it is and their entire line up is, and personally I LOVE the LR4.
I look at the LR4 as if I’m looking at Kate Beckinsale, Heidi Klum, Brooke Burke, Rosamund Pike etc.. you get the picture.
I just couldn’t pull the trigger on one. The most unreliable SUVs in their line up that even RR salespeople say so.
I used to make amazing money fixing BMW's and there SUV line, I am afraid they are all about as good or bad as each over
It'll have a catastrophic drive train failure under 80kmi that won't be under warranty. Idk why people buy these POSs.

Beautiful rig but I wouldn’t trust that brand to take me off road any distance! Better off staying nice n close to the dealership. I’d prefer to buy a couple of 4Runners for that money

What a beautiful $90k machine. If it’s still priced at $125k in 2023, it’s $35k over priced. Wait till the 110 sells below 100 and the 130 as well
I love this car if could have the money to buy one I will walk straight to the dealership with my eyes closed straight to the Defender 110.
I can't imagine paying that kind of money for non-luxury. Too rugged on the interior. I like it but for much cheaper. Neighbour has a new Defender and it's certainly fly.

The truck looks awesome .... except for those backseeats. OMG! To pay so much for backseats that look worse than those in a cheap Chinese SUV. Un-f#$cking-believable! Wow! What a disappointment.

Hyundai with calligraphy and Land Rover with carpathian. These are some very strange names. What does that even mean. That sounds like a sea animal. In person this seems massive in which it is. Very beefy and rugged. This is my type of car. Something with a V8. I love it! Definitely worth it over the 392 wrangler that has a charger hellcat engine under it. Though I will admit every molar car has a hellcat engine under it and I actually want one of them.

They build them at a plant in Slovakia at the foot of the carpathian mountain range. It’s just an ode to the region where it’s manufactured.

I'm afraid of Land Rovers because of their reliability stigma. But i would seriously consider this providing they add an extended 48 month warranty for free or at least a really good discount. This is a good looking machine but I would use it for what it's for so I can't break down.

Doesn't have enough cargo space. No one can take this over the Lexus gx 460 or a G63. It doesn't come close. Range Rover should come clean when competing. People need large cargo spaces or third row option while going off road. Toyota and Lexus understand this that's why they're the king.
