+Alperen Akküncü I am a FAN of Gordon BUT that quote is stupid as fuck ! All the top athletes in the world , top business men and so on have some arrogance to them ......................
It's a sad sad day for humanity when people start to think showing expression and passion towards a dream is being weird. I Feel sorry for anyone who thinks this man is weird ..
Shayne Hurd That guy shoot squirrel for fun and kill animals just for enjoyments. He said it when he was eliminated out. He is a weird m otherfucker. trust me
MyNameIsSimple72 passion is weird when it's expressed at an inappropriate time, in an inappropriate way, and/or to an inappropriate degree. this guy has the timing right, but the way and the degree to which he expresses it are very weird. he seems like someone who's just barely holding together his ego, which is creepy and unsettling.
+DrJuice1 You are a fool. you are the one who is creepy for having such a skewed perspective on when passion is supposed to be expressed. true passion doesn't have rules and it doesn't wait. get over yourself kid.
Mark Valebcia i mean.. the guy is VERY fat, its obvious to anyone, i dont think he was judging him based on him being fact but simply using his weight to point him out as an individual amongst the others if he doesnt know his name
420allyear He's a JOKER, and looks INSECURE and does not seem to take this as a serious competition.......He should have never been given a chance, this is a damn joke ! sometimes I wonder if they don't hire actors and stage this for TV, OR sort of like "let's keep the weird guy for ratings and drama" RUBBISH!
I don't think he's an idiot but COME ON, it's just a damn cooking show and not a sentence between life and death at court. But on the other hand - he's going for what he wants and I respect that. He's not even weird, he's just being himself
Just prior to the end of many civilisations, the status of chefs was elevated. This guys over-the-top emotional conniption says it all. This is lunacy.
Nothing weird about it. He got an amazing once in a lifetime opportunity and his let his heart and emotions out. It's clearly something he wants. I wish more people had this passion and drive.
***** true. i know 1 guy like that. Acts super cocky and it really pisses people off but once you get to know him its actually a defense he put up to counter his massive insecurities. At some point i stopped getting mad at him and just felt sorry for him. He's a nice guy but his personality's just like that. Doesn't have many friends cause of it too.
Imagine yourself stuck in a job u dont like for the rest of your life and u had the opportunity to change it and in that moment in that min it all comes to a yes or noyour whole life depends on it...u get stuck for that job u dont like for the rest of your days or u get the chance to do what u love for the rest of your life..i think its normal to be that emotional that just say he really want this and he is not here for television and bullshit thats the type of guy that succeed in life if u have true passion
or more likely A: they pick emotionally unstable people in casting because that makes way better television OR B: its part of their contract to act up scenes
I think Joe was moved by the fact that the contestant's passion is cooking, and not being tied to a desk job. Joe use to work in Wall Street and he hated it!! Joe quit his finance job and focused on a career based on his upbringing and passion...FOOD!!! Joe gave this guy a chance to pursue his dream in the food world. Love Joe!! He is human, and does have heart!!
He cares about cooking and food, he is not weird, it's the passion that makes you feel things on emotional levels that others just couldn't understand. But he is a talented cook and made it all the way to the end, don't give him crap for being human, we all have faults
+Isaac Dunning No its annoying like if you watch the uk version of these shows with gordon ramsay its better, its still as dramatic you just don't have the loud shit background music
may well be the most emotional chef i've seen in Masterchef yet it is an emotional job to have that can try the best of us merely having amateur experience myself i know it's bloody hard but to put yourself on the line like that shows you really care!!
you've obviously never had a dream you've wanted more than anything in the world before then. This guy obviously cared about his dream more than most people care about other people...and I think that speaks a lot..to care about being a chef so much...people would kill for that kind of ambition and drive for something you care for.
He said he hated desk job and he loves to cook, to him this apron would be a dream come true, why is it weird that he shows alot of emotions and tears when he underperformed on something which he strived so hard for? To him, his opportunity is everything.
baffinjigger Well yes, if he had said it that way. But you know, even with extremely high skills, it doesn't hurt to lose the arrogance. Einstein wasn't arrogant.
You're really not making much sense, and your comment of how Einstein wasn't arrogant screams of arrogance in itself....reason being? You truly have nothing to compare it to this, nothing. Ramsay was breaking down his barriers and asked him to reveal his true self and pushed him to be honest with himself and everyone in the room. He wasn't being a bully, he wasn't being arrogant, he was helping one man realize how you can get in the way of yourself before anything. "Einstein wasn't arrogant" lol a reply like that isn't worthy of response, however I hope you have a better grasp now of what's taking place here.
baffinjigger He's a personified example of arrogance, he doesn't want to accept his mistake, taking in consideration that not all things are going to be explicit, in this case, an explanation wasn't necessary, there shouldn't be any "last nail in the coffin" with this kind of people
+Choco Later no shit, I already said that when I admitted that it makes me a piece of shit. men are fine crying in public and it isn't something they should feel bad about......that, however, doesn't change the fact that I personally don't like seeing it, it annoys me and rarely (with exceptions, like lossing a loved one or being shot...that degree of pain) does it inspire sympathy in me. crying because you want something....that doesn't impress me in a positive way.
+Dennis Reynolds what does that have to do about not being a crybaby in public? many people have passion and they don't allow it to control their emotions.
Its like that pause in Hells Kitchen, when the last nominee is about to be named, and the contestants look around at each other, with the music playing like something dramatic is about to happen. Its like that every time, and i have watched through 7 seasons of it now.
"when you're good at something it creates confidence when you are insecure about something it creates arrogance" . Not a bad thinking actually :D
Take the a out if that sentence :p

+Alperen Akküncü I am a FAN of Gordon BUT that quote is stupid as fuck ! All the top athletes in the world , top business men and so on have some arrogance to them ......................
Nothing breaks a man to tears like a couple of world class chefs
It was weird. Not the guy, but the fact that Joe Bastianich appealed to an emotion, passionate guy. That was awesome
^^ Totally agree...it's rare to see Joe appeal to emotions.
I guess he saw the talent and drive in David. He proved Gordon Ramsey wrong and David was the first ever runner up in the US Masterchef.
"When you're good at something it creates a confidence, when you're insecure about something it creates an arrogance"... Damn put that on a T-shirt!
he DID get 2nd place that season
Then I would say he definitely brought it.
Kant Zhuang his name?
David Miller - Software Engineer.
Aiman Nizam his name is David Miller
Kant Zhuang what season was it? i wanna see it
It's a sad sad day for humanity when people start to think showing expression and passion towards a dream is being weird. I Feel sorry for anyone who thinks this man is weird ..
Shayne Hurd That guy shoot squirrel for fun and kill animals just for enjoyments. He said it when he was eliminated out. He is a weird m otherfucker. trust me
Shayne Hurd he is pretty creepy though
The person who posted this video definitely needs their penis/vagina cut off as punishment
Hey TF4D 150. Do you have evidence of that? What episode was it? I'll check it out for myself.
You're talking about other contestant, this guy was nice. If you search Masterchef weird contestant the other one appears
When I looked at the thumbnail. I thought the weird guy was the fat guy with the glasses, it's why I clicked on this video.
He's still pretty weird though lol
SealAngel same here
What? Graham?
Me too. Mainly the glasses
Is it soo weird for a dude to be emotional? he's human after all. why all the criticism
Because people are weirdly insecure about showing their feelings. Complete bollocks.
Since when has passion become weird?
MyNameIsSimple72 passion is weird when it's expressed at an inappropriate time, in an inappropriate way, and/or to an inappropriate degree. this guy has the timing right, but the way and the degree to which he expresses it are very weird. he seems like someone who's just barely holding together his ego, which is creepy and unsettling.
MyNameIsSimple72 since when? Exactly since 2:16
***** perhaps he is just batshit crazy
+MyNameIsSimple72 he's fucking weird
+DrJuice1 You are a fool. you are the one who is creepy for having such a skewed perspective on when passion is supposed to be expressed. true passion doesn't have rules and it doesn't wait. get over yourself kid.
This is not being weird this is the sign of a big passion .
i swear they paid the fat judge to constantly say yes, to counter Gordon's No's and leave the suspense on Joe's decision
***** Fat people never say no to food
I like how the guy with the 6pack botice the fat guy :D some1 insecure 😎
Mark Valebcia i mean.. the guy is VERY fat, its obvious to anyone, i dont think he was judging him based on him being fact but simply using his weight to point him out as an individual amongst the others if he doesnt know his name
Kigasho He's much slimmer now I've noticed :)
+Chris Z. Yes and he runs a lot of marathons as well. He looks really good now.
Weird guy? More like passionate, honest guy.
passionate, but not honest until they saw through his act. at the start of the video he acts like an actor from The Room
passionate guy
I agree. He's not "weird", just passionate.
420allyear He's a JOKER, and looks INSECURE and does not seem to take this as a serious competition.......He should have never been given a chance, this is a damn joke ! sometimes I wonder if they don't hire actors and stage this for TV,
OR sort of like "let's keep the weird guy for ratings and drama"
RUBBISH!
But too much drama. Biggest sob story on Masterchef winner.
1:00 I was hoping him to say balls.
he was cuppin those balls
He is so fucking intense i could feel his hand gripping my balls O.o
King Dododo do dodo dodo dododo HA GHEEYYYYYY
+Santo29200 dat comment :D
I don't think he's an idiot but COME ON, it's just a damn cooking show and not a sentence between life and death at court. But on the other hand - he's going for what he wants and I respect that. He's not even weird, he's just being himself

This is lunacy.
never seen a man so happy to the point of tears.. to put on an apron...
how is he weird? Im still trying to figure it out...
Martin Bustos same lol
novanic ee
If you don't find this weird, then you may be weird yourself since you can't tell when something is weird.
That man... has three nuts.
Why tf was this funny? This is just a guy chasing his dreams.
yeah chasing his dreams
Emphasis on chasing.
it was weird to see how he went from being over confident to being told the truth and his reaction of crying just seemed a little exaggerated to me
+MK2EA yup
he's skittish and acts like he's drunk
Weird? He's expressing himself more eloquently than I ever could, and he has more passion for cooking than I have for anything.
Thought the bald guy was gonna say no
Nothing weird about it. He got an amazing once in a lifetime opportunity and his let his heart and emotions out. It's clearly something he wants. I wish more people had this passion and drive.
That dramatic entrance coming back into the room with the apron rolled up LOL
HOW IS HE WEIRD? HOW?
EXPLAIN VIDEO POSTER...HOW?
Sagittaire suuuuper emotional
***** true. i know 1 guy like that. Acts super cocky and it really pisses people off but once you get to know him its actually a defense he put up to counter his massive insecurities. At some point i stopped getting mad at him and just felt sorry for him. He's a nice guy but his personality's just like that. Doesn't have many friends cause of it too.
When he said come ere i thought he was about to slap the dude and tell him to stop snivelling lol
hahahah
He's just a little bit overemotional. Nothing too crazy about that, is there?
Imagine yourself stuck in a job u dont like for the rest of your life and u had the opportunity to change it and in that moment in that min it all comes to a yes or noyour whole life depends on it...u get stuck for that job u dont like for the rest of your days or u get the chance to do what u love for the rest of your life..i think its normal to be that emotional that just say he really want this and he is not here for television and bullshit thats the type of guy that succeed in life if u have true passion

this is David Miller he actually came second place in the show.
HIS FACIAL EXPRESSIONS LMAO
He actually dis his best. He proved it. He was on top 2! :)
ramseys the only one with balls there
WTF..no need others 2 judges..Only Gordon Ramsay it's worth it to archive your gold!!
..
I agree dude totally
If i were a judge and someone pulls that facial expression to me i'll be dam cause how the fuk am i suppose to say no
The trio is very good at playing good cop, bad cop. Love how Joe broke him before giving him a yes (damn, that stare). Humble pie was served.
Weird guy? More like ''passionate guy''.
I have rarely seen such an expression of passion in my life. Quite inspiring in some ways.
The Fat judge always says yes!!! HE LOVES FOOD!!
Oh comoon Gordon! When guy's that passionate and his food isn't that bad, you HAVE to give him a chance!
I think he is pretty coruageus, not weird really
This awesome guy ended up lasting until the semi-finals. He's a fantastic cook.
"I put my heart and soul in food"
Who the fuck wrote his script?
I think Joe was moved by the fact that the contestant's passion is cooking, and not being tied to a desk job. Joe use to work in Wall Street and he hated it!! Joe quit his finance job and focused on a career based on his upbringing and passion...FOOD!!! Joe gave this guy a chance to pursue his dream in the food world. Love Joe!! He is human, and does have heart!!
Do you get more views with Weird or Passionate? The author decided on the former.
He cares about cooking and food, he is not weird, it's the passion that makes you feel things on emotional levels that others just couldn't understand. But he is a talented cook and made it all the way to the end, don't give him crap for being human, we all have faults
whats so fucking weird about this guy? i dont get it...
me too, for me he is about to be booted off, of course the waterworks gonna start
ShootersOnMySquad 2:15
My god, this makes UK Masterchef look like play school for children
why do you americans put over dramatic music on your tv shows, i find it very annoying its just over the top.
Because it adds to the moment. Its not just Americans, but more like people in general. Americans are all about feeling the moment.
+simmsr801 It's so fucking stupid :') The entire way it's cut and put together, it's been Americanised to death.
+simmsr801 you act like I did the shit, just because I'm American LOL. I dont control what the fuck they do, I just watch it
+Isaac Dunning You should watch Masterchef Australia
+Isaac Dunning
No its annoying like if you watch the uk version of these shows with gordon ramsay its better, its still as dramatic you just don't have the loud shit background music
The mans just passionate about something he loves. Nothing weird here.
Still looking for the weird part.....
''when you're good at something it creates confidence when you are insecure about something it creates arrogance'' difference between Gordon and Joe
wow Joe did something nice lol
the tears were undercooked FOOKIN HELL!
You spelt his last name wrong: it's "Ramsay"
i love his passion. this gentleman has what it takes to get ahead. those that find him weird, have a lot to learn about life.
how is this weird??? its called passion about what you're doing
At the end he's like, yea Gordon was right about me being the joker. He saw right through my facade.
Arrogant chefs are like blondes in hollywood.......*slow clap
may well be the most emotional chef i've seen in Masterchef yet it is an emotional job to have that can try the best of us merely having amateur experience myself i know it's bloody hard but to put yourself on the line like that shows you really care!!
Lol, this isn't weird.
This ain't weird, this is love and passion. And I respect that :)

Cocaine is a hell of a drug.
Cocaine aint making nobody cry boy
thats not weird man, thats pure unadulterated passion
Why is he wierd? I don't get it.
He said he hated desk job and he loves to cook, to him this apron would be a dream come true, why is it weird that he shows alot of emotions and tears when he underperformed on something which he strived so hard for? To him, his opportunity is everything.
Why is he weird?
I was asking myself the same question
"Heart and Soul into it" - ghhhnnnnn, can't not remember the Mitchell and Webb sketch. :D
Ramsay complaining about an arrogant chef? Isn't that a bit hypocritical?
When your arrogance exceeds your skill yes, that doesn't apply to Gordon.
baffinjigger
Well yes, if he had said it that way. But you know, even with extremely high skills, it doesn't hurt to lose the arrogance. Einstein wasn't arrogant.

I think a classy chef would make amazing food and still be humble.
a guy who clearly loves food too much
crying.....ugh.....i know it makes me a piece of shit but men crying in public like that just annoys the fuck outta me.
that's your problem
+Choco Later no shit, I already said that when I admitted that it makes me a piece of shit. men are fine crying in public and it isn't something they should feel bad about......that, however, doesn't change the fact that I personally don't like seeing it, it annoys me and rarely (with exceptions, like lossing a loved one or being shot...that degree of pain) does it inspire sympathy in me. crying because you want something....that doesn't impress me in a positive way.
It's called being passionate about something. A lot of junkies and drunks lose passion over time and thus don't feel the ability to achieve.
+Dennis Reynolds what does that have to do about not being a crybaby in public? many people have passion and they don't allow it to control their emotions.
Looks like you're just not passionate about anything...
What takes 2 days to be made minimum? Boullion base? I didnt quite understand it audibly.
he loves it, but he doesn't love it
hes not weird he just shows his love of cooking and is willing to do anything to prove that
If you get an Apron without crying and telling a sob story, you a good chef.
The best chef in this season right here guys...
That guy was obviously pitied on. I can't see how you can feel happy and excited about that. Title describes it all.
Its like that pause in Hells Kitchen, when the last nominee is about to be named, and the contestants look around at each other, with the music playing like something dramatic is about to happen. Its like that every time, and i have watched through 7 seasons of it now.
The best judges ever..
I love them..
Love Masterchef..
It just goes to show that if you cry enough you can succeed at anything, even if you don't meet the standards whatsoever
Dudes facial expressions look like he was gonna go on a rampage and kill them all if the last dude said no.
aww he cried oml so adorable ;3;
That which is true tends to make us laugh the most.
their expressions are gooolllddd
This is an interesting turn in the conversation, lol.
When he's trying to look hard while crying he reminds me of Nelson in Let's go to prison. "Looks like he has to take a shit."
pretty emotional guy. I'd have to give it to him. I'd say yes.
That guy knows how to act and turn on the waterworks.
Well said. There are times to cry as a grown man, but this isn't one of them.
One could argue that he's the rightful winner in the finale. He outcooked Whitney in all 3 dishes.
He acted he got through with ease. But the fact is he got through with a minimal score
I was hoping so bad that the last guy was going to say no
That stun with the apron... He was a joker all along.
Passion intensifies
And did he bring it? Yes he did!
he gets everything by using the power of tears.
Damn now that's what I call passion.
Yeah. This same thing happens to all of Chef Ramsay's shows when they come stateside.
aaa bit wierd yes..but it's nice to see that he's so passionate
He was crying so much, I think he did the dish right
I may be alone in this, but Joe strikes me as a poker player. Just the way he holds such a face without fail and how he presents himself.
This "weird guy" almost won master chef.
