And also not to mention that its all an act put up for a show, which people enjoy to watch. We don't know how they are in real life. Maybe in real life Gordon is nice whereas Jamie is an obnoxious bastard. Anything could happen. Watch Gordon's personal time with family, he is a nice and a humble guy. Gordon is incredibly successful, one of the best chefs in the world. His success is far beyond your weak, pathetic mentality.

Gordon's criticism is absolutely correct. I went to a Jamie Oliver restaurant only once and got all my answers. The food sucked and the waiter didn't even bother to apologize when we told him that the vegetables were salty and the pizza's dough was rigid and thin.

It's just for TV. It's like those "Academic Vs Street Knowledge" kind of rivalry scenario. They actually did comedy bits and sketches together, you can see it on youtube.
Jamie can genuinely cook though, he was a sous-chef in a London restaurant. He wasn't trained anywhere near the standard that Ramsey was though. It s probably because he got into the TV game so young and never had any really extensive experience.
The rivalry between gorodon and jamie is fake and was started to raise both of their profiles in the early days. You know, 2 British chefs, one says something bad about the other and it makes it into the papers. Then other responds with something bad and that also ends up in the papers. Then it goes back an fourth back an fourth and raises their fame and profile.

Olive oil. Asians use regular frying oil instead.
Chili jam? So weak. We use sambal, real chili paste.
And the last one was the most crucial of all even Uncle Roger lost his mind on it: soaked his fried rice with water. There was oil in it and he soaked it with water as if they will mix.

I never understood the hate for Jamie Oliver. All he really tried to do was to get kids to eat healthy.
Once you do a deep dive into Jamie Oliver, you will realize he butchers dishes into ruins with his ideals. Will use olive oil for everything and not use anything of “authenticity” or “good health” such as not using chicken thighs or pan drippings for chicken breast and olive oil. Can’t even do a decent job of replicating cultural dishes. He’s a terrible cook. There’s a reason why his restaurants have mostly failed and people don’t watch him anymore.
People hate help. I love Jamie’s cooking and his heart for Americans. Who knew he’d care more than their parents?!

I've cooked a bunch of each chef's recipes, and IMO, if I'm hosting a dinner party, I choose Gordon's recipes, and if I'm making something during the week, I choose Jamie's recipes. Both have their own merits, just in different ways.
