Thanks mate I really appreciate comments like these! The MLM2PRO is at a really good point now so it's probably a good time to get it. Good luck and reach out if you're having issues. The Facebook group is a good place to ask questions. Cheers
great video, thanks so much for all the testing and reviews you've put together. I've recently set up an indoor sim using the MLM2Pro for my parents and all your content has helped me massively. It's amazing you can get such a great sim experience for a fraction of the cost of what you used to have to pay.
Joe thank you for posting this video. I added brighter lights to my garage out of fear that it wasn’t reading well but this is clearly showing that I don’t need them. From the back one of the lights is right where my head is. Now I know I can remove that lightbulb and not affect performance!!
Thanks for the message mate! Yes get the room as dark as practicable for the projector. I need to do more testing with chipping and drivers but realistically after this test and seeing the impact vision I don't think it will make any difference.
This is really useful to know, thanks for demonstrating. When I eventually bite the bullet and get the mlm, I'm going to have great results courtesy to you!
Thanks mate I really appreciate that. I haven't done a lot of shots like this. I would like to do an in depth test with chipping and drivers but I believe my theory is correct on how this thing actually reads the shots.. so realistically it shouldn't matter.
I just finished my sim build, except the lighting, and I haven’t had any issues yet hitting in the dark. I thought it was interesting, so I’m glad to see you corroborate this.
Yes! I think that's all you need. I haven't done a lot of in depth testing with small chips and drives but honestly I personally believe this unit works like I explain in the video so it shouldn't matter short or long shot. I'll do a lot more testing but I'm currently away for work so it will have to wait.
Hey mate this is GS Pro software. In my opinion the absolute best home software there is. Here is the latest video I did around The Plantation Course in Kapalua Hawaii ruclips.net/video/Jq17iseTb4g/видео.html
Do you think hitting into black net with a concrete wall behind the net would falter for carry as compared to an impact screen? Also, what is your setup distances with the mlm2 pro? Thanks!
Just below the mlm2pro cameras is a small IR flash. If you take a high speed video using your phone pointed at the mlm2pro you can see it firing during the swing.
Good point to check out on this unit. So after using the Eye-Mini for a few months do you think its worth the significant price difference compared to the MLM2Pro? I feel pretty confident in the data (including shot shape) I get from the MLM2Pro. I do still get their occasional no read though, even on shots with medium irons. Don't know why but it's not really a big deal. Very happy I went with the MLM2Pro instead of paying thousands more for a GC3.
If you're after just data like chipping all the way through to the driver in my opinion there is no difference! The MLM2PRO is insanely accurate. What makes the eye mini that next level is the ability to putt and also the official integration with GS Pro. So if you want a device that is better for simulated golf then the eye mini wins hands down. Also the software for the Uneekor products is absolutely next level! In my opinion the best analytical software out there. Pair this with the swing optix and the balance optix the whole ecosystem is just amazing.
This was interesting. I noticed earlier in the year when the range I go to stopped turning the lights on at night, my Rapsodo MLM2 Pro still worked. There was a spotlight all the way over at the clubhouse that didn't illuminate the range and my ipad was shining some light from the screen on the ball i guess. Also, my Bushnell Launch Pro works in my basement with no lights other than the projector. Now, I can't tell if I mishit the ball because its dark or just because I suck. lol Another good video topic. Thanks
Hahaha that was my excuse! Lol 🤣 really I just hit a bad shot. Yeah it makes sense they would work perfectly if the unit works like I described. I can't see them using the swing vision camera for any metrics.. it's not good enough for that I don't think.
Thanks for another informative video. Is there anyway to replay each shot/animation from a rapsodo sim course round? I would like to watch back the rounds I played.
Thanks mate! So you can review your round in the simulations tab after the round and you can see your swing vision and impact vision of each shot but you can't actually see the animation of the shots in the course.
Thank you for doing this video. I was concerned my garage wasn’t bright enough for the unit to be accurate. Now I guess my question would be all the concrete and drywall. Do you think a big empty space with hard surfaces would affect the numbers? Would putting up foam or covering the floors help?
Hey mate to be completely honest I'm not sure. I have the foam on the floor just so the ball doesn't bounce up like crazy and also it actually reduces the sound in the environment and makes it a bit quieter. I have the curtains up for shanks and bad shots but more so it also reduces the noise in the environment. It's something you will have to just try and see! Worst case the foam tiles for the ground are cheap. Cheers

Not if they are using IR cameras. You can use the eye mini, GC3, GC QUAD all in dark environments. Which is why I was interested to test it with this unit.
Unfortunately you can't 😭 this is one thing I'd love the impact vision to pop up after every shot in GS Pro... Or any 3rd party app. Hopefully one day 🤞🤞
That is through the Rapsodo application. This was set up with the old OCR connector not direct Bluetooth to my computer so it had all my data going through my iPad to my computer. With the old connector you could then view all your shots in the Rapsodo application. @@edwardanderson5867
Hi Joe. Thanks for all the videos on the mlm 2 pro. I am buying my unit today. A quick question if you dont mind. What are the dimension of your simulator space you are using in this video? I am going to setup my own sim space, but not too sure of what are decent dimensions
Thanks mate I have a standard Australian double garage so 5.5m X 5.75m (5.5m length) that's 18 feet. The main thing you need is length so at least 6.5ft unit to ball and then maximise ball to screen! They say 8ft is the minimum requirement but I'd try to get a little more.
@@JLagGOLF thanks, appreciate it. Ive got around 7m x 3.6m space to work with. My ceiling is a bit low thought. Only around 2.9m, so hoping I can swing my driver (im 1.85m tall)
@@DieVenter Yes that should be absolutely fine worst case you might have to hit a little off centre but then you can adjust the ball taking off to wherever you need so it will still look like the ball hitting the screen and then taking off from where it hit. As for height it all depends on your swing. I'm 6ft and have 2.7m ceilings and can just get away with it.. I have hit the roof a few times though with the driver 🤣. But with 2.9m you should be ok!!
Fun fact. I was in contact with rapsodo that I have one missread on my mlm2, then it NEVER shows any data until i restart the sesion again. All that shit start after they have last Firmware and App-update. First thing and I think the only thing thay said to me was that I have my setup wrong and they point out the lighting in the room. After that I pick up a work-light and smash 4000LM on the ball and send in the problem again. Now they dont wanna tell me whats wrong... 😅
Hey mate that's no good.. I do think these software and firmware updates are getting better and better. Have you tried reinstalling the latest update? They just released a new beta testing update if you want to get on to that go through the link on the Rapsodo Facebook group.
Thank you for all your videos on the MLM 2 Pro! Mine comes in in a few days, but I’ve already learned a bunch about using it through your videos!

Such a specific question, and yet you answered it and backed it with data. Thanks dude!

Thanks for all the mlm2pro videos, just ordered mine very excited you are a big reason I chose this one.
That's great to hear! It's a fantastic device and I'm sure you will love it.
Hugely helpful, thank you for taking the time to do this!
These were my assumptions as well, thanks for proving it.
