Jim Carrey is a great actor and a funny comedian, and while Ace Ventura was his breakout film [In Living Color was TV] that made him really try to prove himself and almost seemed like he was trying to get away from stuff like Dumb & Dumber even though those were the roles he made lots of money doing. The Majestic was very much trying too hard to be a dramatic actor, but The Truman Show was the real Jim Carrey movie because he was funny and real and you couldn't watch it and not feel for Truman and his forced life. If anyone can comment on Hollywood, it's Jim Carrey - one of few that's a good person and actor

He took it like a man from start to finish Chris Rock showed us all his true character. He’s a great guy and that’s what I noticed.
And then made jokes about it in his stand up in which Will said his jokes about it were “Disrespectful and hurtful.” I’ve never eye rolled so hard in my life.

I didn't work on the movie but I watched them sweep a beach in Mendocino of all the footprints to make it look like no one had walked on it before. It was weird sitting there watching people with push brooms sweeping the sand.
