This was well done, and I really like the time you spent on the different keyboard cases. So many reviewers just gloss over the keyboard cases with a sentence or two but the difference is are really laid out well by you here. Your review overall has really helped me to decide. I think I'm going to stick with the S8 plus because I just don't want to lug around something the size of the ultra, I just don't see the Ultra as being very portable and if I wanted a full size laptop that's what I'd buy. Well done.
Thank you! And Well said, the S8+ is the better tablet for those who plan on traveling with it and the S8 Ultra is definitely a device you'd leave at an office or home and not want to carry back and forth.
This was bought to replace an old Lenovo tablet which was essentially too sluggish to cope with modern websites. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxz4qYZoyAOb_hq_UbaKI6AsZX0FnoFm-U This tablet is fast, has a very clear display with built in optional eye comfort shield, great sound with Dolby Atmos, split screen option and numerous tweaks that I've not yet explored. I've plugged a wireless receiver into the i/o socket to connect a mouse if I need it and a bluetooth keyboard works fine - unlike the Lenevo which somehow would often garble the input. Battery life seems good. In short I'm very pleased with it
Definitely the best review on youtube. Love how you elaborated on factors such as bezels, suitability for multitasking/media consumption, while maintaining that both could be done on either. Couldn't decide which one to get since days but could finally make up my mind after watching your video. Going for the S8+ Thanks for an honest comparison. Subscribed. Cheers!
Thanks. Long term use of those expensive tablets means battery change at some stage as Li-Ion does not last forever. is it possible without risk breaking the screen in the process ?
I personally don't use office, but if I'm not mistaken it is a bit more limited compared to the desktop versions. I believe you can do all the basics though if I'm not mistaken. Sorry I don't have a concrete answer
Hello, I watched many videos about s7+ and s8+ and I can't see that much of a difference. The snapdragon gen8 is better than 865+ and the gpu is better at s8+, everything beside those are exactly the same (such as ram, deX mode, screen resolution etc) but the price difference is huge for me (In my country s7+ is around 9k and s8+ is around 14k). I care about color a lot too and pink isn't available here for s8+ while bronze for s7+ is. Which one should I prefer? Does the chipset and gpu create that much of a difference?
Tbh no it's not much of a difference between them. You're more likely to encounter hiccups and delays on the tab S7+ over the S8+ but not to the point where it's bad. The only downside about getting the S7+ right now is longevity. You're only getting major os updates until 2023 vs 2026 on the tab S8+. So if software support is important than the S8+ has that as well. Which to some might not matter because even if you stay on say android 13 then you'll still get a good experience long term you just won't get the latest software features. So I would be okay with the S7+, you just gotta think about the software support.
If you was to rate media consumption comparison on a scale for s8 plus and s8 ultra what would you weigh each one against the other I just got the s8 plus but I’d like to really know your opinion to which one is actually better in that aspect
For straight up media consumption i honestly think both are great in quality and sound too, but I can’t help but prefer the bigger screen, so I would rate the tab s8 ultra a 9 and the tab s8+ and 8. Essentially just one rating better.
I would say go for the Ultra I'm personally a sucker for a big juicy display for gaming and watching media. That is if you only plan on using it about 90% of the time in one location. But if you plan on using it on the go and or traveling from place to place with it. Then get the Plus. More travel friendly.
I'm personally not familiar with the game, performance wise it'll be pretty much the same, so if that game works best with a bigger screen than go with Ultra otherwise I'd just go with the Plus.
My only complaint about 7 plus and 8 plus is that for some weird reason when I use RUclips on it is when the tablet will shut down on it's own. This means I can't use RUclips. I replaced the 7 plus with a new one and same thing happened. Then I bought 8 plus and the same thing happened. Then I stopped using RUclips and it no longer happens. 7 plus I bought online from Samsung store and 8 plus I also bought from Samsung store online but picked it up at physical store from Best Buy.
@@TacoTechTalk yes please... Please do a drain test with S7+ plus and S8, since they're the only ones that I am willing to spend money on. Thank you so much in advance 😍
So unfortunately I don't have an S7+ anymore. But I can still try and do the Tab S8 ultra vs Tab S8+ vs Tab S7+. But I can tell you from my prev experience. The tab s8 will have better battery life. I can get to last me anywhere from 1 day and half to 2 whole days.
SoC performance is a joke. Under load, these chips will start thermal throttling pretty soon, so you really only get increased performance for maybe a minute or two. The processor is just not a factor that's worth taking into consideration.
Man I have the tab s8 plus and it's really big so if don't have to use your tab as tab then only buy ultra it's also very difficult to handle s8 plus and it would be more difficult for people buying there first tablet just one issue I have faced is battery drain is little more on s8 other than that it is a beast a incredible piece of technology and note taking on samsung notes is top notch if you have any doubts whether or which tab to buy you can reply on comment and I will surely help you

That is really odd, I never came across that issue.
