I 100% agree. It can't replace it of course, but it gets so much of it right that it comes extremely close sometimes for just the regalar standard task. I use it alot more than my laptop most days!
I love how your video is full of footage of doing all kinds of different things on the tablet. I hadn't been able to decide between buying this or the ultra, but after seeing it used for everyday things, I feel like the smaller screen will be enough. Great video!
Great review KM! I am getting mine today! And I am excited. I wasn't able to buy a decent computer outright, or finance one, so I got the S8+ tablet through my phone company. I don't need anything fancy. I just needed something I can do my taxes on and do other things for work that are easier to do on a computer rather than a phone. I will be saving up for a really good gaming computer in a couple of years, but this will do for now😎
Trust me your going to love it! It's my favorite tablet by far. Most of the task you would need a decent computer for, it can definitely accomplish. It won't be complete replacement of a laptop or computer but it can definitely take care of most of the important task most people use them for. You won't be disappointed with it in the slightest!
@silverpro8356..... I have the S8. It's the perfect size for me in terms of portability, note taking in meetings etc. You can get the full Microsoft suite on it which covers my productivity needs, as well as Dex mode for a desktop experience and additional multitasking. Good luck.
Is s8 smalls in comparison with s8 + because I want big screen for watching movie or notes , yeah in the case of portability s8 is a good choice but still can you tell me which one should I go for , s8 or s8+ ? Is that much of a difference in the screen in 2 of them ??
It's quite informative video . Thank you . Can you please suggest can I go ahead for S7+ or S8+ ? Planning to buy in upcoming few days. Kindly suggest .I am a Moderate user .
I would probably suggest getting the Galaxy Tab S8+. There are some really good trade in values going on right now. On top of that you'll get that extra year of support for updates getting the latest model. With you being a moderate user you'll get a lot of use out of the features from both. They are essentially the same thing. Its mainly if you want the latest or not.
Looks amazing _ I don't understand the urge for needing key boards with a tablet .. Over priced an at that cost _ one may as well have gotten a lap top instead. Great video review
Greatly appreciated! I think people are looking for versatility in their work or entertainment machines where their not stuck to one place. With the ability to switch between modes on the fly. I don't know if they'll replace laptops and desktops for now, but I do think that the tablet form factor could be the end goal as far as laptops are concerned. As of right now though the cost for that flexibility is hefty but like all tech it'll get cheaper and cheaper and eventually prices will start matching their counterparts.
From a core features standpoint, not at all. They are essentially the exact same tablet. The only difference comes from their screen sizes and a slightly larger battery on the S8 Ultra.
I just upgraded my Tab S4 to an iPad air M1. I love the new device, but seeing the features of the S8+ and after having used the apple pencil for a while there might be a little bit of buyers remorse.... the m1 air is a good value if you ignore having to buy a pencil separately... sigh
That's a major upgrade! The iPad Air M1 isnt a bad choice at all especially if your already into Apple's ecosystem. Your going to have one of the most polished tablet experiences around. IPadOS and Android are different but the tasks they can accomplish are relatively the same. Enjoy the iPad don't worry too much about what the other is lacking. They both do in different areas to each other.
Thinking of buying this tablet, but I'm a bit wary... Does it suffer from slanted/crooked/jelly like scrolling in PORTRAIT orientation especially on text heavy pages, looks as though right side of screen is scrolling faster than left side, hence, the lines of text look like they're slanted/crooked looking. I mainly use my tablets in portrait mode rather than landscape mode... I had the tab 6 and it had terrible slanted scrolling, really appreciate any feedback on this issue... Cheers... Great little review BTW👍😊
Thanks! Much Appriciated! I use portrait mode alot because I take a lot of notes so scrolling text is something I'm always looking at. Yeah, I don't notice any jelly scrolling at all when I use my tablet in portrait mode. At least in my own experience. I seen it on the Tab S6 and it was bad, but with the S8 and S8+ they fixed it this time.
In my opinion, I would say it comes close but it's not quite there yet. Running in Dex Mode, The Galaxy Tab can multitask very well, but it has its limits. It depends on how big your office workflow is. If it's smaller, then it could definitely accomplish it. If it's much larger, then I would opt for a laptop. Especially considering in this price range you can find much more powerful laptops. As a tablet though it's amazing, it's when you start comparing it to laptops is where it gets a bit tricky.
I’ve seen it mentioned a lot but I am very sensitive to flickering and flashing of any kind and I haven’t seen any on my tab s8+ yet. Might depend on the app too
Honestly the free pen in the box, is the main selling point for the S8. The fact it doesn't need to be charged to be used to draw, is already a big plus compared to the Apple Pencil and Surface Slim Pen. Only issue is its an Android device and google play is lacking.
That's true the Google Play Store is filled with a lot of junk and and is not as curated as the App Store. Although, you can find about 90% of the apps you would find on the app store. It just forces you to look a bit harder.
@@KMFrequency THe other issue is anti virus, and Adblockers. As far as I am aware you can't install ad blockers to Android Apps, even chrome extension doesn't offer it. I remember having to download a first party open source APK to basically get rid of all inapp ads. With Surface I would be able to adblock by extensions, and anti-virus won't be an issue. Ipad is limiting in terms of compatibility to windows. which is what I mainly use. With the surface owning two windows laptops would be overkill. which is the reason I was considering Tab8 or Ipadpro. But honestly maybe I have over researched, and now am just struggling to make my mind up.
I myself had the same issue when picking the Surface Pro. I didn't want to be redundant so I purchased the Galaxy Tab S8+. I mostly wanted customization and more freedom to do what I wanted with my device. Having the ability to install those third party APKs is where Android get it's advantage in my opinion.
@@KMFrequency Yeah plus the second screen function for S8, is also great with windows laptop, which is another area I am happy with. Shame they didn't manage to set it up with a cable, rather than over wifi, but I hear there is 3rd party apps that can do this. Android definately is more customisable. Apple has better quality control on their store, but the issue is lack of customisation. And despite M1 being on 2 models, there isn't any apps that require that much power. How is the Amoled screen on the S8+ Also considering how energy bills are expect to rise this year due to various reasons, longer battery is desirable.
@@shogun2heroicvictories15 The OLED screen on the S8+ is great a big step up from the LCD I had on the S7.Its and OLED so black levels are near perfect.
