  • Join Tristán White and Sharon Crawford on a new adventure, this time in Barnes, as they start a new five-part series showcasing the history and sights between Barnes and Mortlake. In this episode, they talk about Barnes station, the Marc Bolan shrine, The Priory, Queen, Duran Duran, Paula Yates and the Greathead Shield, created by a tunnelling innovator. They visit Barnes Cemetery where they talk about Kate Webster and her evil murderous deeds, as well as Ebenezer Cobb Morley and how he helped create the rules of football (soccer), creating the FA and diverging it from rugby. The journey ends with a visit to Barn Elms to talk about the first women's motor race in 1900, the creation of LGBT+ football team Stonewall FC, and Barnie, London's first plane tree.

I only found this video after our one was recorded, but ‪@WellINever‬ did a very well-researched piece on Kate Webster, and go into far more detail. They seem to suggest she only had one child but that she kept changing the father's name; in our video, I thought they were four different children. Therefore, I may have got my facts wrong here. The video is • The Gruesome tale of K...
