    just throwing this out there as far as them quick connects they sell them in 1/4 and 3/8 and I do believe even 1/2 for these power washers. I know they sell them and them sizes for air hoses. I seen them on Amazon in the 1/4 and 3/8 version for power washers. I'm honestly going to try to buy every fitting there is to buy for a power washer and I will figure my solution out. thanks again for your time

    Great job explaining the difference between the 2 types. I am in the process of setting up a new pressure washer and ran into this issue. There seems to be an unwritten rule that electric washers use M22x15 and gas use M22x14. As you say, once you convert to quick connect, all accessories become interchangeable.

    I've had a migraine for 3 days now over this. This type of information needs to be in bold print from anywhere you can by this stuff.
    A website with every powerwasher, cord & connection etc that shows what's compatible & what's not like a tire website.
    My Electric power washer has a 15mm power washer cord connection....found that out days later 😑😑😑
    I just sent my 50ft Uberflex back because they are 14mm....found that out days later 😑😑😑
    Your telling me I wasted my time sending that back??!
    I also sent back a 14mm quick connect kit & getting the 15s instead.
    I dont want to use the 25ft concrete power hose that came with my electric washer.....
    So should I order the UBER-FLEX back?
    My short power gun is has the adapter for a 15mm so I can keep that.

      @@AQUALUXAUTODETAILING
      Just a thought...
      Decrease in size/ diameter equates to restriction in flow. This is why reducing the orifice size at the output of a spray/foam cannon helps a lower pressure washer create better foam.
      Conversely, decreasing at the input will lower the input (supply) pressure before the washer tries to pump up to pressure, robbing the washer of output pressure.
      Decrease the hose diameter is the same as the orifice only at the input side.
      Also, there is a pressure drop AND greater recovery lag over distance. Lag being cycle time to recover the pressure loss.
      Not much you can do about input/ supply pressure, but you can do a few things to prevent restrictions.
      Use the largest hose diameter on the shortest hose required for the job.
      Think about the GPM rating of the washer. You need to feed it at least what the output is capable of or, better yet, more than.
      Hope this helps 😉

    • @annagraham6204
      @annagraham6204 2 года назад

      Good points. Is the 15mm hose the active uses partly why it can achieve such a high gpm? Logically you make sense I’m wondering if it’s caused problems in the practical sense.

    @theeabster1983 3 года назад +1

    so there's only two sizes of power washer hoses? the m22-14 and m22-15 correct? or is there others I'd imagine that they would make standard 5/16 1/4 3/8¿ I mean why not just make everything really fckin confusing just because they can. my dumbass bought a hose from Walmart after purchasing a son Joe power washer from Amazon thinking that I would be able to connect it to. I threw the hose in the corner and figured I'd deal with it later springs coming up this year so I'm starting to look back into it again to see if I can connect these two hoses. and I don't know what size threads are on the one from Walmart it's a Uber flex pro pulse quarter inch 3800 PSI 140° not for hot water made in the USA. but the fitting is larger than m22-15. one of the good things purchasing things through Amazon you can go back and review and they give you information on the product that you had bought. in this situation anybody has an opinion on how to guesstimate the threads on the Uberflex hose? because I can't find it on the Walmart website. I guess I could drag the hoes with me down to Lowe's or home Depot and start screwing fittings in it to see which one I can find to match LOL anyway thank you for your video
