A lot of you have been asking in the comments...I just put a link to some garden hose quick connects in the video description. I personally bought the same set and it seems to work well. I'll have a video about the garden hose quick connects coming out soon.
Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall. The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.
I can't believe you posted this video, and that I found this video, and that you had the EXACT same problem as I did, and that you posted links for the parts, and that they were actually available, and that I got them in 2 days, and that I just hooked them up and they worked perfectly! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
This is the exact same problem I've been trying to solve with my SunJoe and foam cannon trigger gun. Couldn't use the trigger gun at all but could use the cannon on the end of the SunJoe wand. This looks like it will solve the problem. Thank You so much.
Just wanted to say, you saved the day 100%. I was beyond frustrated that I couldn’t fit my new extension pole I paid 160$ for to my sun joe. It was the same 14mm and 15mm difference just like you described. I listened to this on my drive to home Depot and I knew right what I was needing and was in and out in 3 minutes and ready to do some work. THANKS SO MUCH
Pro-tip: Lay out the hose in the sun for several hours. Ensure that the hose is extended fully and not kinked. The heat will make it easier to handle the hose in the future, as it softens up the kinks. Also works with garden hoses.
...your advice on the quick connects was something I never thought of (power washer is on its way while I watch this). Then I also saw your video on the 25’ extension hose but had to buy a quick connect separate for it so the two hoses went together. The Sun Joe HD hose extension no longer comes with the quick connector. Went straight to Amazon and bought it all right away. Buyers be sure the extension hose you buy is the Sun Joe “HD hose” so it matches the hose that came with the SPX3000. There are some that are not HD and are low quality. So I’m all set thanks to you. Now I will have 50’ of pressure hose. Great set up. Great video with great information. Also, fine young man you have there. I have 3 boys that love helping with everything.
This is the best explanation of the Sun Joe connection issues I've seen. You provide the right level of information clearly and concisely in a real world setting. Well done.
I have the same setup. The garden quick connect is super handy too! Put fittings on all your sprayers and sprinklers. Get a longer washer hose too, it's easy to get around the car.
Great on time video for me as a foam lance is exactly what I want but do not care to connect it to the long wand of the pressure washer. I know that the pressure washer lines have M22 ends but I was NOT aware the center can be different sizes until you stated so. Again, great informative video!!!
This helped so much !! I spent 30 min at Home Depot trying to look for all the parts unfortunately they didn’t have it in stock but luckily I discovered this video 👍🏽
Thank you for this video!! I’m super bad at technical measurements and my hardware naming knowledge always seems to be lacking despite knowing how to use plenty of equipment and build lots of stuff. I’ve had this pressure washer for years but trying to hook up anything but the wand it came with has been impossible and quick connects and these adapters will make my life so much easier. I’ve had a foam cannon and pistol grip sprayer for 2 years and just didn’t want to go through the hassle of ordering and returning more parts that won’t fit. Seriously thank you for explaining the part/sizes and listing them in the description!!
Thanks for the info. Good video- was wanting to know what to buy for adapters to use a gun without having a cannon at the end of the wand. Very helpful
Great video-thanks. I wasn't aware that soooo many Sunjoe owners were having the same problems as I have struggled with. The whole 14mm/15mm drove me crazy. SunJoe was not helpful at all. Also, going into Home Depot ( no staff ) trying to find the correct QC was a dismal failure. Your video helped me immensely, however, my question is ....why doesn't SunJoe provide these facts, or similar videos or simple explanations! ( I guess they are just too busy counting their profits!).
Ty...very good info..i now understand the quick connects..new at the pressure washer seen ..been going to the self serve carwash every 2 weeks to wash my car..this will be easy setup when i need to use it!
Awesome video! There was a video made by another channel saying SunJoe's threads/sizes make it very difficult to have the set-up you have shown. So glad I watched your video and thanks for the help
As others have said - this video saved me tons of frustration. Why would they make two fittings with such a close size?!? I of course ended up getting the 14mm first. Now I see I needed the 15mm. Thanks!
Thanks dude. I ordered all fittings you shows. But a pressure hose I have with Sunjoe the end wich connection to a pressure gun of Sunjoe has very smaller a coupler. So I need replace a pressure hose, or find a fitting for smaller end.
Dude I’ve spent a lot trying to figure out these connections. Didn’t even come to youtube because i figured i was the only person that ended up in this situation. The explanations on the quick connects and also the relief behind the cables tangling up (very annoying) is just everything. Need to figure out how to buy you a beer LOL.
You really made an awesome video , and thanks for sharing your demo on this product ,,,. Oh and you really should make more of these kinds of videos ,,,,you come across as very knowledgeable when your talking bout it So thanks
Thank you for the video! You have simplified things so much! Do you have a video of installing the quick connector to your garden hose? What attachments would I need for that job?
This video is downright helpful. I have a question about the house connection to the power washer. My hose has its own quick connect though. How can I connect my hose to the pressure washer in my situation? Am I better off removing the quick connect on my hose? Thank you for any suggestions.
I just bought some quick connects for my garden hose too. I put the male connector on the pressure washer and the female connector on the hose. I put a link to the garden hose quick connects I bought in the video description. I'll have a video about them coming out soon.
I thank you for posting this! Quick connectors save time, it's much easier and I don't have to be tightening and loosening the hoses lol my life is easier now
Great demo and easy to follow your pace. Just to confirm with QC, do you need separate swivel at the sprayer gun inlet? If I understood correctly at 8:30, you said you could swivel with the installed QC. Thank you.
Kevin you made a lot of folks happy with this video. My question is will these connectors also work with my Sun Joe SXP3001? Also the name of grease you use on O rings to prevent leaks? Great job!!
Thanks Jon! I would assume the quick disconnects I used on my SPX3000 will fit the SPX3001. The grease I used was Advance Auto's house brand high temp grease. Nothing special, just what I had on the shelf👍
Just got this spx3000 in the mail today with the same connectors. Looking forward to hooking this all up and using them. Thanks so much for this video. Do you know if I can us the same size quick connects for the hose portion. Thanks again.
Hope you enjoy the new toy 👍 I'm not sure I understand your question. The Sunjoe hose takes M22-15 connectors. There are other quick connect couples for the water hose connection too. I didn't see a need for that in my world.
i love the video i wanna kinda use the same setup i already have in my cart the m22 15mm connector but i want to find a cannon that goes with the m22 15mm connector as well. thats where im getting confused. i connect the m22 15mm connector from the hose that came with the sunjoe in your video i just need to find a cannon that way i can switch between the wand and the cannon. i cant find a cannon that has a m22 15mm connector.
I have the same one as you. Why do I lose pressure and it stops then comes back on even when I’m holding down the trigger. Everything is hooked up correctly and what size quick connect needed for front for water hose? Thanks a bunch and the 14mm worked great !
@@KevinNadeau I was able to wash my car with no problem and it was excellent, but I tired to clean a brick wall with the stoping and going and losing pressure, I just gave up. Wonder if it’s worth calling tech support, but I love the unit.
helpful video showing which quick disconnects to use. I was able to make it work for my Sunjoe. you used grease on the o'ring specific for high pressure. can you provide a brand or search words that I can search for myself? is adding grease to make the o'ring last longer? thanks.
Thank you. The grease I used was Advance Auto's house brand, nothing special. I added the grease just to give the orings a better opportunity to seal on their first run.
Thank you for your videos. They are helpful, but I am not that smart. Can you tell me what quick connect items I would need to fully quick connect a WHOLESUN 3000PSI Electric Pressure Washer and aff a 50' pressure hose? Thank you.
Hey Kev...i really enjoyed your video on the SJ...thanks! I do have a quick question about the Twinkle Star gun. I just ordered a MTM? gun and i was wondering what quick connect size/setup i would need to use with the original SJ pressure hose and the aftermarket gun? Also, i can't find the links to the kit that you got from Amazon. If it no longer exists, what are the quick connects that I should order...2 22mm/15 and 1 22mm/14 (for the aftermarket gun)? Thanks again!
If I wanted to add a 25' hose extension to the joe pressure washer, what quick connect would you recommend? Goal is to overall increase the total length of the hose, splicing into the factory hose. Or instead, would you simply recommend a single, dedicated hose? Thanks again.
Great video! I did this, but I ran into a problem and I'm not sure why. First off, I'm new to pressure washing and I have all my stuff on quick connects, but earlier I tried to take the gun off because I was going to use a different gun, but it wouldn't pop off unless I turned off the pressure washer. Is this normal? I'd think you could pop things off and on it all day long with no issues...Any ideas? It's the Sun Joe Xstream model.
I recently stripped the threads on the high pressure outlet where the hose screws on to the back. I left the hose connected and hadnt used it over time thus it rusted solid and wouldn't come apart, so I ended up damaging the threads so now trying to find replacement part. Any ideas?
I got my adapters today. I order it through your link and im having a problem connecting the female adapter to the hose. Am I doing something wrong or did they semd me a wrong size? Great vid btw. I just subscibed to your channel
Great video, but I am a bit confused. Could you please tell me what I need to buy for my SPX3000 gun and pressure hose (both OEM), so that I can have the quick-connect and swivel capability? It’s not clear to me because you talk about M22 15s and M22 15s since you want to able to use multiple guns. I just want the quick-connect for the OEM hose (both ends) and the gun. Thank you!
Hey Kevin - Phenominal video. One of the best out there. Question - I bought a Homdox 3000 PSI Electric Pressure Washer. I also bought the EDOU 5000 PSI High Pressure washer short gun kit. This being my first time owning one, what connections do you recommend to make it like the one you have. As of right now, I can't utilize it. I would like to buy from you so you get a commission. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I looked up the EDOU spray gun on Amazon and it looks like the kit comes with a 3/8" quick connect adapter and both M22-14mm and M22-15mm adapters. Disconnect the pressure hose from the wand that came with the pressure washer and see which adapter fits it.
Kevin Thanks for the video. I ordered parts for my Ryobi and wasn't as successful. I was able to connect it to the gun but the gun keeps leaking and as a result the pressure washer Cycles on about every 10 seconds. I did use Teflon tape on the fitting with the gun but there is still a slight leak. The output fitting on the Ryobi unit just doesn't fit the connections I got from Amazon but I can live with that as long as I can use the gun. I do like the smaller gun any thoughts on how to stop the leaking issue ?
My sunjoe hose has only one end with the black piece that spins and the other is a skinnier smaller nut. I have the Spx 4003. Should I replace my hose with the one you have posted?
I just followed your link to the quick disconnects and they are unavailable. Do you know where can i get these elsewhere? Thanks a lot your video defenetly helped.
Thank you. The kit I I bought is currently unavailable on Amazon (for some reason). he link in the description is for the correct M22-15 coupler, you'll just need two of them. You might be able to find them at a local hardware store too. Just be sure they are M22-15 and NOT M22-14.
A lot of you have been asking in the comments...I just put a link to some garden hose quick connects in the video description. I personally bought the same set and it seems to work well. I'll have a video about the garden hose quick connects coming out soon.

@@davem1212 I think that will probably work. I just used what I had in the garage. Don't overthink the moment👍
Ptfe tape on the connectors 👍, back to edit just as he's already greased the threads lolz 🙄😀

It was Advance Auto's brand (red grease).
I don't see where you put an Amazon link to the pieces you showed came in the package. I need the exact same ones. Thanks. Great video.

I wouldn't try to disconnect any accessories while there's pressure in the lines.
love to see a fellow UNC folk :) go TAR HEEL
Oh yea, go Heels!👍
I recently stripped the threads on the high pressure outlet where the hose screws on to the back. I left the hose connected and hadnt used it over time thus it rusted solid and wouldn't come apart, so I ended up damaging the threads so now trying to find replacement part. Any ideas?
I don't know if that part is replaceable. Maybe you could try calling Sun Joe customer service.
where is the link to get these parts? Thanks your video is great.
Thank you! Links are in the description below the video.
I'm having trouble hooking a connect to a portland power washer hose . Do u have any advice. Thank u so much
Check the size of your hose connector. Is it M22-14 or M22-15?
If u look 2 minutes in ull be able to see what kind of connecter
I got my adapters today. I order it through your link and im having a problem connecting the female adapter to the hose. Am I doing something wrong or did they semd me a wrong size? Great vid btw. I just subscibed to your channel
Check to make sure the connector is an M22-15.
Thank you!
I have the SunJoe spx205E. What quick connects should I get? Mine is smaller, than yours (I think).
My Husky 1800 pressure washer already has a quick connect. Since it is leaking at that connection, do you have a video showing how to replace it?
I'm sorry I don't have a video showing that. Can you use a pair of channel lock pliers or vice grips to remove the connector?
@@KevinNadeau Thank you for taking the time to research that Kevin, means a lot. Keep making great videos!
"Waterprooof!" Haha Your son is hilarious.
Kevin
Thanks for the video.
Great video.
Thanks for sharing.

My sunjoe hose has only one end with the black piece that spins and the other is a skinnier smaller nut. I have the Spx 4003. Should I replace my hose with the one you have posted?
Looking at SunJoe's website, it looks like the hose that I have posted (SPX series heavy duty) will work with the SPX4003.
