- I get a lot of questions from people wondering what garden hose they should use to connect their pressure washer to the water source. Well here you go! Similiar to the Uberflex pressure washer hose, this Flexzilla Garden Hose is lightweight, much easier to deal with because of it kink free design (no memory in the hose line), and comes in a whole bunch of sizes! ENJOY!!!!

I love your channel, I just bought two of these hoses, the purpose of the male hose end having a swivel is that if you pressurize the hose then slightly pull on it it takes out all those coils in the hose, it'll be straight as an arrow without twisting it to get the coils out!
Hey thank you so much for your videos. I have followed your lead and have the exact same set up because of your recommendation’s. Everything works great and very happy with the results. Between you and Chemical Guys my cars have never looked better. Keep up the great work.
Thank you for the recommendation. Just completed my purchase following your link under the video. Been so stressful reading reviews and it was great to have a pro tell me exactly what to buy. Cheers!
I really like your videos. I’m a carpet cleaner by trade and just like to detail my own cars. In my experience connecting to many customers garden hose bibs. The aluminum fittings will corrode from electrolysis and you may have to cut them off to remove them. I’ve never had a bad experience with brass hose fittings. If that hose had brass fittings, I’d buy it in a second.
I've never used their garden hose but have two air hoses and love them. One is from back when they first hit the shelves and is going strong.
Just bought the 10’ version to clean my hot tub filters. Great video
I use the 50ft with the swivel ends and quick connects with the DeWalt power cleaner. Works like a charm! I'll never go back to the hard hoses that kink 'cause if they get cold it's game over trying to deal with them. Excellent video!
Do u have link for the quick connect
I run a 75' Flexzilla hose due to the distance from my hose bib and my shelf mounted pw and SS QDs. Love it, no issues at all.
I've had many brands of garden hoses, they all get hard overtime and I will always buy flexzilla from now on. I've had a 50 foot for 5 years now and it's still soft.
Was time to search for a hose. I have a 6.5' OG hose direct to my Kranzle. But at my apt I have low water pressure so need to get something longer and wanted to not have a dry run issue. So glad I found your video. Now I have to watch and see if that's issue maybe addressed.
Hey Josh. I watch you religiously. I just purchachased products you recommended. I purchased the ryobi 1600 pressure washer, uberflex hose and the McKillians stubby gun. Thank you so much . I'm gonna hopefully try them out tommorrow
Best garden hose were Craftsman from Sears about 15 years ago.
They were made with natural rubber and stainless steel fittings. The prices were great. 50ft went for 19.99.
I still have the two I bought. They are still flexible and kink free as day I bought them.
Craftsman doesn’t sell them anymore.
I had several of those craftsman hoses. They all failed in just a few years. Flexzilla is about the only hoses that I've had good experience with.
@@tavarisjones551
You had the Chinese cheap junk.
I did say about 15 years ago on my earlier comment. The ones I bought are the original Craftsman from early 2000's. Im not sure Flexzilla was even around back then?
I just looked up. Back in 2016, Flexzilla product was launched. Only about 7 or 8 years old.
Thanks for the heads up. Looks like a great hose.
Like it, going to have to grab one, the color looks like its going to match the ryobi i purchased on your recommendation, thanks again Josh.
You have changed the detailing game and I us your recommend products all the time keep it up
Thanks so much reina
Love the review brotha and hose is amazing no more kink and connect with rv filter with ryobi electric pressure washer
That’s really nice, I could use one, thanks Josh 👍😁
I was going to order the Flexzilla garden hose but when I saw that they used aluminum fittings, I passed. I had a bad experience with a garden hose from HD with aluminum fittings seizing to the spout and having to replace that as well.
I did order the Flexzilla pressure washer hose though which has brass fittings. This is going to be used with an Active 2.0 pressure washer setup.
Looks like a great hose. I like to take about a 20ft one with me, May have to try one of these out.
A few months ago project farm did a hose comparison and this hose was included.
Man watch all your videos you been a great 👍 help to me.
Thanks I bought the flexzilla pro hose and reel best thing ever thanks for the lead
Flexzilla hands down. Another great video
Hey Josh, thanks for all the great content you put out on pressure washers! Based on all your testing what would be you best recommendation for a standing (wheeled) electric unit under $300? Thanks bud!
Thanks for validating my point about those expandable hoses, they're terrible also for sprinklers since the pressure is low or if it is coiled up in a hose reel/cart that constructs it from expanding.
The bigger problem is they eventually lose their ability to return to a contracted stated, and they will then never be able to hold water pressure, beginning to leak.
I bought the 1/2” 50’ footer at Walmart on clearance for $27 bucks and it came with quick connects a nozzle. That’s pretty good price I should’ve bought two..lol
i modified a giraffe retractable hose unit with a 3/4 inch zero-g 75 foot garden hose and when im cleaning up , the hose simply retracts , plenty of flow as well
Thank you so much very informative
Nice alternative!
Thank you , love your video.
Hey josh they have actually done a test on the FlexZilla on that and it took 5000Ibs to be able to bend those nozzle's
like it....wondering about 50 vs. 25 for mobile detailing...want light/short but those hook-ups might be quite a distance. funny you said you have 25, but it sure looks like 50.
Flexzilla makes a great garden hose. The only thing I would say is false about it, is the fact that they say it is "mold resistant". I have two of them and had a third one at a different property while renting (accidently forgot it there when I moved). Every single one of them turned black with mold and mildew. I do live in the southeast where it gets very humid, but for them to claim it is mold resistant is completely false. Maybe in parts of the southwest, it will be mold resistant, but not anywhere where it sees moisture from rain or humidity. They always get coated with what seems to be a permanent layer of mold.
Should have watched this before previous comment! My fault brotha!! Keep it up!
Great video. Answered both my questions. I have an expandable hose in the front of the house and was wondering if that's ok to use and if not then what is a good choice and length. SOLD!
I use a 100ft hose and have never had an issue. Flexzilla makes good stuff - I use their air hose too.
Josh, which Garden Hose 🌀 is better, Flexzilla or ELEY? Quality, performance, longevity? ELEY has Brass fittings, Flexzilla has softer Aluminum. Both are drinking water 🚰 safe. Both are now Made In U.S.A. 🇺🇸. I’m simply looking for the better quality hose. ELEY is over double the price 💸 for the same size. I just received the Flexzilla in Gray, it arrived with a permanent kink at the business end. It’s soft, flexible, extremely lightweight, but not sure how long it will last. I want the best!
Great review
Nice product review. Would you recommend this hose for those of us who live in the Northeast? I wouldn’t use it below 45 degrees.
Bro can you do a twinkle star foam cannon review? So far i got the armor all and mjjc foam cannon. Im trying to figure out if the twinkle star you listed is worth buying but i dont see any reviews on it by u. And lets be honest, ur the only qualified pressure washer/foam cannon reviewer on youtube
I have craftsman life time hose been around now for about 30 years still going strong but its heavy I live in the north so before winter I empty it for storage it seems to made of car tire rubber but it doesn't dry rot
Nice video Bro. I have hose in different area codes.
What coil method do you use to store your garden hose?
I don't understand why are you not talking about the end connections from the bib to the pressure washer. Show how it connects. If we need any adapter or not.
Hi, I was wondering what do you do with all those pressure washers and equipment you review?
Could you show us your gravity set up on your pro rig, how its set up and what fitting and tanks you use.
thanks
Great video
I actually had one of the ends fail on this hose.
Followed the company warranty guidelines and they sent me a new one..
Great hose I agree highly recommended
I have a Flexzilla hose. Love it, really light and seems pretty durable! However, when winding onto a hose reel, it compresses/flattens out. I need to remove all the hose off the reel before using again.
Glad you mentioned this because i was wanting a reel for this zilla hose
I have a 10ft flexzilla connected to my water tank and to my pressure washer
I personally use a Zero-G 5/8th 100ft hose with my 4500 4 GPM with my pressure washer I've never had any problems person but you haven't used the Flexilla hose yet. I have heard it's a good hose though.
JUST found out my Stihl RB400 2700psi 2.7gpm washer req's a 3/4" Garden hose no longer than 50ft... I had picked up a 5/8" 100ft flexzilla hose i'll now be using to wash my old Volvo's with lol
You channel is great. Fantastic content. I would recommend upgrading your camera to a Sony ZV-1. It has this “Product Showcase” focus system.
Thanks! Ive been looking at sony cameras, but to be honest the only reason i havent is because im so bsy and so comfortable with the cannon that i feel like i dont want to tae the time to get used to a new system. But youre right I think i should
I was using a sun joe hose
What do I use to connect my flexzilla hose to taps for example outdoor tap and indoor kitchen taps, is there anything that universally connects to the tap? Tia
i got these hose...really like them except the stay rolled/curled up...how to make them stay straight?
Hey Josh what would you recommend for a hose reel for this hose
When the hose is reeled up does it lose flow? Do you have to unreel the whole thing to get the right flow?
Thank you sir
More great on-point information, as always. I thought all garden hoses were 3/4" and the link you gave for quick connect was for 3/4". If this hose is 5/8", what quick connect fitting would I need to hook up to my Harbor Freight Portland washer? Also, do you happen to know what orifice size are the tips that come with your McKillans gun? Could you perhaps do a video on how to determine the best orifice size tips to use with this gun? You are THE source of pressure washer info!
5/8 inch hose but the connections are standard 3/4".
@@cspoon123 Thanks, Chris. That answers my question on point.
So would you recommend this hose or the retractable Giraffe reel you also reviewed?
Can you connect a garden hose directly to the pressure washer gun?
Hey Josh, I know you're in Cali, but I'm searching where I can find DI water here in Sarasota, FL but not having much luck. Where do you get your water for your mobile setup?
This hose is absolutely amazing at 2 things; being light weight and almost kink free. No way to deny those two points. However, it is not as durable (rubber wise) as industrial grade hoses like Continental makes. Brass or stainless connections are just harder, they last longer. The aluminum they use is … hmm … okay, I guess. I have 2 FlexZilla hoses, both are more than 5 years old and they perform as though I just bought them. You just have to keep in mind that you don’t want to abuse them … too much.
Right tool for the job is a huge determining factor here. I do not want to lug around a 75 pound hose just to wash a vehicle. On that same token, a FlexZilla hose would get shredded at a construction site fairly quickly. By the way, I live in the NW and my hoses always stay outside through wind, rain, snow, ice and heat. I have had zero issues with mold or UV deterioration from these hoses.
….. oh I lied, I have 3 FlexZilla hoses. I have a shorty in the garage for bucket filling.
EDIT: I would not call this the BEST hose. I would call it a decent hose for home use.
Anything you can spray on the hose to prevent mold?
Can you use 1/2 garden hose with your pressure washer?
I have one and black spots are getting on it I assume it’s mold. So I don’t know if I would call it the best.
I have 3 of them!
Is there a recommend a light weight compact garden hose for my pressure washer has to able to fit in my trunk and not take up space
Can you connect the quick connect kit to this hose?
Hey Josh. Is it possible to just use a garden hose (ie Flexzilla) and attach to a hand help want to be able to pressure wash? Or do I need an actual pressure wash machine? I am trying to keep it super simple and went to Home Depot today toast that very Q and they had no idea... If so, exactly what do I need by way of attachments etc.... Thanks, Joe
I just received my flexilla hose. The male end is not crimped?
Hey Josh. I already own a Flexzilla 50 ft 1/2" ID hose and recently bought a Husquavarna 3200 PSI pressure washer.
Do you think I'll get the same performance from the pressure washer with the 1/2" supply hose compared to using a 5/8" ID 50 ft supply hose?
Thanks for your info!
Manufacturers also say to use a 3/4 inch diameter hose as well. Have you always just used 5/8"?
Hi. Wondering if a half inch Flexzilla hose versus the 5/8 would still work fine to supply a pressure washer? I found one on Amazon with built-in quick connects which would be perfect, but can't find a definitive answer if a half inch diameter is too small. I have an electric Ryobi pressure washer.
Nice I’ve been looking for a better hose
I’ve had 3 bust in one year😞
Geez. What kind of hoses were they?
Should check the flow rate on the 1/2 inch flexzilla vs 5/8 inch with and without the pressure washer
I was wondering this too. I bought a Ryobi 1900psi electric pressure washer but my in line pressure gauge reads 1600psi even with a 15 degree nozzle on it. My current hose diameter is 5/8” but I think I might go larger to 3/4” and see if that bumps my pressure up to the rated 1900psi.
Only problem I’ve had with the FlexZilla garden hoses is they tend to grow mold or mildew in the outside which turns it blackish and it looks like crap but still performs well
I have a flexzilla hose (100ft) it kinks a lot.
is it better that it is 5/8 than 3/4?
I'm about to buy one garder hose 10' ti connect to my pressure washer, I don't know which one to choose between Flexzilla brand or Ag-lite brand . I know you have the flexzillla but do you think the other one is good too ? thanks !
You say and amazon says it is 150 PSI max rating. I have a Ryobi 40v 600 PSI pressure washer. I don't see how this will work. Am I missing something? Or is there a formula to know the correct hose to buy. I am thinking I need at least a 800PSI rated hose.
Has the hose begun to mold? I’m considering buy a 3ft to connect to my pressure washer but keep seeing a couple of reviews on Amazon regarding it being covered in black mold after some time. Don’t want to buy this if it’s going to become a health hazard
Aquastrech make a nice light weight Stretchable garden hose for 20$ can I use that on my electric pressure washer???? Can’t find any senders online
My craftsman’s hose is pretty much kink free, had for years. Best hose
🧢
Hi Josh, what water inlet connector do I need to get to connect the hose to my active 2.0.
I put quick connect on my hose because the hose ends are aluminum and my spigot is copper and by the end of the season they had a reaction and seized together so it was hard to disconnect
the main pressure should be coming out of the pressure washer right? doesnt really matter what your garden hose standard pressure going in is?
Good for 3000 psi greenworks electric pressure washer? I’ve went through multiple flexible hoses
I have one in a 50'
Aluminum and brass fuse, so this seems like a bad choice if planning on keeping quick connects on... or does it being anodized make a difference?
No, anodizing doesn’t prevent the galvanic corrosion caused from having incompatible metals touching. They will fuse. Be extremely careful with connecting these to anything brass, especially your hose sillcock. If possible, put a plastic or zinc shutoff valve between the aluminum and brass.
They have two different kinds on Amazon one with a swivel grip and then the one you have a link to. Which one is better, because all I’m using it for is my pressure washer? I only need 10 foot that’s all. Thanks!
They are both great. The swivel is a nice feature (and actually what i am using on my pressure washer now) but the non swivel is great too and cheaper
Question to the audience; it looks like the ends of this hose (and other new ones like Zero G) are aluminum. The problem with this something called Galvanic corosion; your BRASS fittings will literally WELD themselves onto these hoses...by saving money on the fittings on each end; they 've screwed everyone with this feature...be careful as you can ruin this hose and never get the connections off. Does anyone know what hoses have brass ends?
My water spigot and the connection on the back of my pressure washer are the same size would this flexzilla work for my setup
Yea this is a standard size connection point
I bought a flexible hose from Costco. Suddenly, the hose expanded and eventually burst. I have the blue hose you suggested for a flexible pressure washer. Additionally, I have another hose. I am looking for a water hose that can withstand high pressure. Can you suggest a suitable garden hose?
The reviews on this are all over the place lol - on amazon, people seem to think its the worst purchase ever, yet it has nearly 50k ratings and 4.5 stars. I'm probably just going to buy it anyway
I once connected like 3 hoses together to try to pressure wash a building that’s a pretty good distance from my house and it would take a minute for the water to come through but it would spray just like normal until I hooked it up to the PW. I don’t understand what exactly was going on but just wouldn’t work correctly. Would spray for a few seconds then nothing. Then tried it just using one hose and worked fine (obviously it wasn’t long enough to make it to the building using one hose)
Did you get all the air out of the hose before connecting to the power washer? It would take a few minutes to get the air out
Would there be any benefit to switching to this hose if you already have a flexzilla pressure hose?
Nope not at all. This is just the garden hose portion. If you’re happy with the hose you have running to your pressure washer then no need to upgrade
Trying too find 25footer 3,4 more flow I run a pro Eagle 2 2700 psi what the best hose too run from the house too the machine let me know guys
I want a 75ft pressure hose but in red😩
