Great review! Pressure washer Hoses are important for the use of being user friendly as are garden hoses. No one likes hoses that tangle or are cumbersome to use. Thanks for this great review! I just picked up the Black Max hose from a local Walmart for $37.80 + tax. The length of 35 ft is perfect for me since I really don't need anything longer. FYI, when I looked this up on the Walmart site the Balck Max hose was listed but the page didn't indicate a store that carried it nor gave me a link to order it. However, I eventually found a listing for what looked like the same item under the Walmart HART brand. When I got it from the listed store it turned out to have the Black Max label! Again, thanks to your review for alerting me to the existence of this hose. I've got a Karcher K1700 pressure washer that I've used a few times and while I've not had an issue with the included hose kinking, the 20 ft length is a little short for my needs.
At my Walmart they don't have the Black Max but they do that the Hart branded hose and when I looked at them it say Uberflex on the hose just like the Black Max in the video. It was only in 25ft tho not 35 like the Black Max

I bought a hose from Amazon that said it wouldn't kink, however it was just as hard as my regular Ryobi hose. I sent it back and purchased a Flexilla (shipped same day), UberFlex weren't available to ship till later. I also purchased a Greenworks Pro 2300 PSI to replace my Ryobi 1700 PSI. Just got the Black Max to replace my stock 35' hard plastic Ryobi hose. I wanted a Uberflex or Flexzilla but both are rated 3100 psi, and my Ryobi is 3200 psi. I believe Uberflex now makes a 3700 psi model at 30'. The higher rating probably makes it a little stiffer than the original version. The Black Max works great. Just what I needed.
Purchased the UberFlex hose based on your recommendation, but wished I did not. The drop test you showed, with this hose , left a tangled mess. Had to fight the coils out of 50 feet to get hose straight. Caught on edge of tire as I pulled by. Re coiling around the pressure washer bracket to store also a hassle, tho not as bad as initial - of course I was laying out bigger circles too. i will say it did stay straight as I used it, that much was better than factory.
Uberflex hose is great! I purchased one based on your recommendations! I've been using it in my videos as well and it's nice to have a hose that doesn't kink and get stuck under the tires.

Great indepth video, thanks, but my question is, how do these hoses connect to a standard preasurewasher gun? I notice they all look to have the same connector at both ends. I use a Nilfisk preasurewasher and the connector into the gun itself is totally different.
Just recently purchased the Dewalt 2400 psi p.w. I had also ordered the uberflex hose. I didn't even unwrap the hose that came with it. The uberflex 50 footer is awesome. I love this hose. Great vids
It would be interesting to know how they hold up to heat. The hose that came with my pressure washed did come in contact with the engine which caused a small burn which, eventually, ended up bursting.
Those male to male couplers that are included with hoses are the same 14mm on both sides. They're not to adapt to the 15mm M22 that most electric washers use, they're included to connect other hoses directly or M22x14 quick connects with female threads.

I tried ordering one of the Uber flex hoses but the shipping date kept getting pushed back so I went with the flexzilla. Going to give it a try today. Also got my stubby nozzle for my ego 765. Excited to try that too.
Just saw this and wife happened to be at a local Walmart. They didn’t have this one. I went to look at my stock and also extra hose for my sunjoe that I bought a few years ago. (I use a flexzilla garden hose and love it). SunJoe hose says it is good for 200 bar pressure, 140 degrees and 2900 psi. It also seems to have some kind of rough surface. The tie a knot test seems better than all of those except for the flexzilla and uber. BUT it also appears to be as good or better than any of those regarding kinks. I can NOT get the it to kink no matter how hard I try. Mine doesn’t appear to be as flexible to those 2 but seems better than all of the others. So I guess for now, it’s probably pretty stupid to “upgrade”. Lol
Every propulse hose I got from Amazon is a generic, black hose that isn't smooth jacket or made in USA. After several returns, I pulled the trigger on a kobrajet from obsessed garage because it's a smooth jacket. No regret whatsoever.
@@randomguy2369 I love it! Smooth and leaves no marking on my driveway or anywhere it rubs on. A bit on the pricy side and isn’t as flexible as the original comet hose but it’s very negligible. At the end of the day, I’m confident that the hose will last a very long time. So far, it only have scuffing. No noticeable tear or cuts I’m the line.
I have seen the reviews on the Uber flex hose on amazon and a lot of them are the same saying the hose will bulge up so I’m skeptical about buying it.. have you had any issues with that?

interesting comparison, hoses that have been sitting on the shelf with plastic ties, possibly for months, and the Uber hose that has obviously been used. Maybe you could do a comparison with a new uber flex hose.
Could use some advice. Was totally ignorant on how to store my pressure washer hose (kept it in my shed) since I haven't used it in some time. Went to put some pump saver through the engine and found that the hose was rotted and falling apart! Think you should consider the 30ft Greenworks hose from Lowes. Love all your videos....very helpful. I got the CAT electric power washer after watching your review. I still feel like I need a cart or something to hold the hose nicely. Tough choosing an electric power washer, and yet wanting it to also clean driveways and get the weeds out of the cracks with the limited power electric offers when using a rotating turbo nozzle. Maybe you can review all the tips that work best for this similar model, or let me know if I'm SOL.
Love the reviews! Been watching every pressure washer upgrade videos you have. Just got a spx3000 and it’s great but after the first use i already found the hose was to short and annoying to work with. Uberflex it is!
Sun Joes are junk, they don’t perform anywhere near their ratings and they don’t last even with light use. They also won’t sell easily replaceable, inexpensive parts. Just try to get you to buy a new one. I’ll never buy another. When this one breaks and it will, buy the Ryobi Josh recommends or the Karcher Obsessed Garage recommends.
The length and diameter of a hose may not affect the pressure through the hose but it will have a significant affect on the volume of water that will be able to pass through the hose. This may not be a big problem if you have a powerful washer unit but is important if you have a typical homeowner unit that has a lower gpm rating. If you have a 1.2 gpm unit the larger diameter could be important to you.

No matter how much I untangle my unerflexx hose it always gets all these coils in it and even those EZWheel rollers can't help the thing get around tires because it just pushes the out of it's spot , it's a little less worse with my weaker PW
thanks for the review. I made the mistake of buying a 50' DeWalt a couple of years ago and it is a huge turd. you end up dragging around 1 huge coil of a mess.
Ryobi I made a mistake when purchasing 1/4” replacing on my Honda 2700 pressure washer ( HVC 160). Why? The water gallons per minutes is too low so the water comes out under pressured. So, I figure I must purchase a 3/8” or 5/16” so I can run out more GPM. Sure would like to sell the Ryobi hose. .
I bought the uberflex hose and I still find that it kinks when i detail my car with the Ryobi 1900psi pressure washer. Idk if its because the hose is still kinda new. Definitely better than the stock hose that Ryobi gives you. Any advice to prevent or reduce the amount of kinking from happening? Your videos are great btw! I've casually detailed my car in the past but got more into it recently. So the recommendations on what gear to buy helps.
My Greenworks come with a Uberflex and you need to take it and uncoil the tension out of It. I take the wand off and just untwist then put the wand on again

I just picked up a Black Max hose from Walmart and it’s not a Uberflex at all. It says Jetter WP and as far as flexibility goes the OEM from Sunjoe is more flexible than this item. I have not tried it yet since I’m considering returning it to Walmart.
@@imjoshv I took it returned it to Walmart this morning and while I was there I thought I’d go down the isle and take another look. I dug through all they had and way back I noticed one that looked different. Sure enough it was a Uberflex and without hesitation I bought it.
I have both and you will definitely notice the difference. The kobrajet is bulky and heavy but it just feels super heavy duty. I suggest getting an mtm kit as the gun is so much better than those cheap stubby guns from Amazon. I never use my Uber flex and old gun anymore.
@@Elniniss thanks for responding! I actually have a Kobrajet too :) but not a Uberflex. The Kobrajet feels a lot like a garden hose. I also bought a SGS28, but I cheap out on the foam cannon (kit would have been a better deal in hindsight, I got them at separate times) :(. It is really tough to compare these products without getting hands on one, which is why we all are watching this video lol.
Just snagged a black max hose from Walmart and I guess they don’t use Uber flex anymore. Had no writing of Uber flex and wasn’t the same texture. Either that or someone returned a different hose in the black max packaging

@@imjoshv oh. I see... I picked up the 1.1 and when I went to change it out I realized the one in my cannon was bigger. I’ll have to try both out. I thought the larger orifice would help lower the output pressure. (And in the process maybe prolong the life of the pressure washer unit) #hopefully🤞🏼
Should be noted that the Black Max hose is no longer sold at Walmart; but, they have replaced it with a Hart-branded 35' hose, which is also the same UberFlex-made hose.

It's a coupler. Great for adding an aftermarket hose to many electric factory hoses.

100 PSI isn't going to matter. It will still work with your 3200 pressure washer.
also the ryobi 3200 isnt puting out 3200 unless its thew gas model, the 3000 psi one does about 2700 psi@@age_of_reason

100% same exact experience. It doesn't kink but constantly tangles and will not straighten. I've had it for 3 months.

I think the adaptors are meant to connect hoses together instead of using it to connect to machine or wand.

Could you review the new roypower hose it looks just like the uberflex hose. It also comes with quick connections and is much less expensive.

the double male end fitting is so that you can connect multiple hoses
What's the best hose for the UK? I have a Bosch 1900 pressure washer that has push in connectors really need a 50 foot hose as the one that came with it is trash.
I bought the flexzilla, I like the fact that it is made in the USA.

interesting comparison, hoses that have been sitting on the shelf with plastic ties, possibly for months, and the Uber hose that has obviously been used. Maybe you could do a comparison with a new uber flex hose.
uberflex hoses are crap, for some reason the flexzilla hoses are better even though they're from the same company. Go figure.

Could use some advice. Was totally ignorant on how to store my pressure washer hose (kept it in my shed) since I haven't used it in some time. Went to put some pump saver through the engine and found that the hose was rotted and falling apart! What hose would you recommend and where should it be stored to prevent this from happening to me again? They aren't cheap, so I am kinda miffed at myself...
Hey bro, what do you think of hose diameter? I'm going to get a 50' hose for a reel....but I'll store away another 50' in case I'm ever short. I was looking at Flexzilla but it only is 1/4". My old hose was bigger so I was wondering if I'll loose gpm/pressure with 1/4" whenever I use 100' of hose? Thoughts??
Think you should consider the 30ft Greenworks hose from Lowes. Love all your videos....very helpful. I got the CAT electric power washer after watching your review. I still feel like I need a cart or something to hold the hose nicely. Tough choosing an electric power washer, and yet wanting it to also clean driveways and get the weeds out of the cracks with the limited power electric offers when using a rotating turbo nozzle. Maybe you can review all the tips that work best for this similar model, or let me know if I'm SOL.

Love the reviews! Been watching every pressure washer upgrade videos you have. Just got a spx3000 and it’s great but after the first use i already found the hose was to short and annoying to work with. Uberflex it is!

Sun Joes are junk, they don’t perform anywhere near their ratings and they don’t last even with light use. They also won’t sell easily replaceable, inexpensive parts. Just try to get you to buy a new one. I’ll never buy another. When this one breaks and it will, buy the Ryobi Josh recommends or the Karcher Obsessed Garage recommends.

The length and diameter of a hose may not affect the pressure through the hose but it will have a significant affect on the volume of water that will be able to pass through the hose. This may not be a big problem if you have a powerful washer unit but is important if you have a typical homeowner unit that has a lower gpm rating. If you have a 1.2 gpm unit the larger diameter could be important to you.
I know this is 2 years old but at my Walmart they don't have the Black Max but they do that the Hart branded hose and when I looked at them it say Uberflex on the hose just like the Black Max in the video. It was only in 25ft tho not 35 like the Black Max
Yea thats a newer item! These brands are really smart to adopt the uberflex!
No matter how much I untangle my unerflexx hose it always gets all these coils in it and even those EZWheel rollers can't help the thing get around tires because it just pushes the out of it's spot , it's a little less worse with my weaker PW

thanks for the review. I made the mistake of buying a 50' DeWalt a couple of years ago and it is a huge turd. you end up dragging around 1 huge coil of a mess.
Ryobi I made a mistake when purchasing 1/4” replacing on my Honda 2700 pressure washer ( HVC 160). Why? The water gallons per minutes is too low so the water comes out under pressured. So, I figure I must purchase a 3/8” or 5/16” so I can run out more GPM. Sure would like to sell the Ryobi hose. .

I bought the uberflex hose and I still find that it kinks when i detail my car with the Ryobi 1900psi pressure washer. Idk if its because the hose is still kinda new. Definitely better than the stock hose that Ryobi gives you. Any advice to prevent or reduce the amount of kinking from happening? Your videos are great btw! I've casually detailed my car in the past but got more into it recently. So the recommendations on what gear to buy helps.
My Greenworks come with a Uberflex and you need to take it and uncoil the tension out of

I just picked up a Black Max hose from Walmart and it’s not a Uberflex at all. It says Jetter WP and as far as flexibility goes the OEM from Sunjoe is more flexible than this item. I have not tried it yet since I’m considering returning it to Walmart.

@@imjoshv I took it returned it to Walmart this morning and while I was there I thought I’d go down the isle and take another look. I dug through all they had and way back I noticed one that looked different. Sure enough it was a Uberflex and without hesitation I bought it.
Great review! Any ideas how the UberFlex and Flexzilla compare to the MTM Kobrajet?
I have both and you will definitely notice the difference. The kobrajet is bulky and heavy but it just feels super heavy duty. I suggest getting an mtm kit as the gun is so much better than those cheap stubby guns from Amazon. I never use my Uber flex and old gun anymore.
@@Elniniss thanks for responding! I actually have a Kobrajet too :) but not a Uberflex. The Kobrajet feels a lot like a garden hose. I also bought a SGS28, but I cheap out on the foam cannon (kit would have been a better deal in hindsight, I got them at separate times) :(. It is really tough to compare these products without getting hands on one, which is why we all are watching this video lol.

Air pressure is way less then water pressure. You're seeing a 1000 plus psi difference.
What pressure washer reel do you recommend?
Just snagged a black max hose from Walmart and I guess they don’t use Uber flex anymore. Had no writing of Uber flex and wasn’t the same texture. Either that or someone returned a different hose in the black max packaging
Packaging added up to the specs of a Uber flex but the specs on the hose did not had a6,000 psi limit

Can’t find any info on RED Uber flex (1/4" x 30' 3700psi 22mm)…Aside from length & psi difference, is there an application-specific factor that I’m missing? (I use the CAT 1800)
I like the content. Picked up the flexzilla from your link. My only question is have you tried a bigger office than the 1.1? Like the 1.25?
With a foam cannon? Yes I have, most of the come with the 1.25 and I switch them out to the 1.1 to get more foam!
@@imjoshv oh. I see... I picked up the 1.1 and when I went to change it out I realized the one in my cannon was bigger. I’ll have to try both out. I thought the larger orifice would help lower the output pressure. (And in the process maybe prolong the life of the pressure washer unit) #hopefully🤞🏼

Do any of these hoses pull and wrap them self up. The hose on my k4 karcher it always coils up and almost hits the paint

Should be noted that the Black Max hose is no longer sold at Walmart; but, they have replaced it with a Hart-branded 35' hose, which is also the same UberFlex-made hose.

Hi Josh, Thank you for the information you share. I bought uberflex 50ft hose and a Karcher K5 Premium pressure washer. I am a bit lost and confused as the hose that came with K5 is weird and don’t know how to replace that and attach the uberflex hose to the pressure washer. Can you suggest please
