How many of these backlogged cases also involve folks who had done nothing wrong until the police arrived and charged them for obstruction or assault on a police officer.
The defendant apparently thinks he should be released because he can’t get a speedy trial on his terms. Sorry Charlie, the wheels of justice turn very slow.
@Hat9757 especially when cops arrest hundreds of innocent sober people for DUI. Or attack innocent deaf or autistic people because they couldn't understand commands and are charged for assault.
