It was hard to even pick them up from the grill at the end because the meat was so soft! One guest complimented me, saying these are the best ribs she's ever had! Everyone enjoyed themselves, thank you for taking the time to explain everything in detail!

Tried your recipe today........It was AMAZING.......had to tweak a bit though, I couldn't get baby backs, had medium center cut. They were thicker & meatier but I achieved the same results by marinading them overnight in Allegro sauce & smoked them a bit longer. They were juicy, tender, falling off the bone, finger licking good! Thanks Coleman!
New to the channel as this is my first time smoking ribs. The tips on this are fantastic and I don't know about anyone else, but I absolutely loved having a recap in the video. After watching the entire video, being able to have that recap brings makes it really easy to refer to as I'm actually at the grill. Fantastic job and exceptionally thoughtful!
Thank you very much, my friend. I know I like it when I am watching other videos and get a recap. But I have to admit it, I took that udea from my Buddy, Malcolm Reed. I do appreciate you watching my videos and commenting.
Ribs came out absolutely delicious. They were tender and fell off the bone for the most part. I made some mistakes here and there, but for being my first time, 10/10.
This is my first time applying my BBQ Wood Smoker Trailer 3-2-1 (3+2+1 = 6hrs), rib recipe on my Weber Spirit 2 gas grill; and your gas grill technique is PERFECT! You're correct on how gas grill temps "fluctuate." It's for this reason that I used my Weber iGrill 3 digital app-connected thermometer; and was able to monitor both the in-direct side of the grill and rib temperatures. Quick Note: I dry-rub seasoned my ribs overnight (frig) and got them to room temperature the following day and cooked them. The end result was a success! Thank you!
Man that is a sweet kitchen. Of all the meat on grill I have to say baby back racks are the best. Sweet charred pork with rub and sweet rays sauce. Man you can't beat it. I hand apply the rays sauce and work it into the meat like a stain on wood.
Coleman, I so much appreciate that you keep things simple and practical. Ribs have become my favorite for Sunday games with my son and his college mates. This one is going to be my best ever. Thank you for sharing your time and talents.
You are welcome my friend. I have to say, ribs are my favorite as well. I get asked all the time to film a brisket video, but honestly, I don’t like brisket. Don’t tell anyone….they could take my TX membership away for saying that. LOL. I appreciate you watching.
Thank you so much for the recipe!! It helped me so much!!! I know it’s non of my business but I worry for your health hearing you breath. Please take care of your health and show us more recipes and tips!!!
Excellent video!! I have used your tips plenty in my gas grill and we tried this exact recipe with Maple syrup but it was a tad on the sweet side (for us). Second go round we moved to melting 1/2 stick butter, brown sugar, and a couple tablespoons of honey instead and spread some on either side before the foil step and brought the sweetness down some but still sooo good. If you like them sweet by all means do that but we're happy and I have to give kudos to the one who helped me get it started. Good stuff, Thank you!

@@GrillinandChillinwithColeman I am almost at the 3 hour mark. I am ready with two sheets of foil, brown sugar, maple syrup. They look and smell awesome BTW
So, We just ate. The ribs flavor was amazing. I must have done something wrong, as the meat stuck to the bone. I use a Wolf Gas BBQ and it was reading 250F but i used a laser temp gun and it was 208 at the bars on the grill so i slightly turned it up to where the gauge read 275 thinking that was enough I did not want to over cook the ribs. This was my first try at this and had so much fun trying it. I will try again to figure out this puzzle. I think I just need more heat. Any tips are appreciated. Any day spent bbqing is a better day than at work.
Thank you for helping me out! I like how thoughtful you were with the review. I couldn’t get a hold of my dad so I had to look it up😂! This looks like the perfect way to end my Sunday!

First time bbqing ribs, these turned out spectacular. Super tasty and tender. Only thing I would change next time is to do 1/4-1/3 as much brown sugar, since there’s sugar in the rub, the maple syrup, and the bbq sauce too. Regardless, it was great. Also, you have a great outdoor setup. Jealous.
Really nice job! Best tutorial for doing this on a gas grill. Using a probe thermometer is key. You'll know that you're in trouble if your water isn't boiling and your chips aren't smoking.

Thank you for watching, my friend. You can certainly do that, you can even use this method in your home oven. If you want that “smoke” flavor, add a little liquid smoke to the upstart at the beginning. Remember, a little goes a long way.
Hi Coleman, I have scoured RUclips and this video and recipe is the best I have found. I've got this dialed up for Super Bowl Sunday tomorrow. Planning to spend all day on the patio looking after the ribs--in the snow! Thank you for tremendous recipe and explanation.
@@GrillinandChillinwithColeman That is in the plan my man! Got a fire going in the outdoor fire pit and letting the ribs come to room temp before I prep. Thank you thank you thank you!
Well Coleman great tutorial video, best out there. So I made 3 slabs today, ribs were from Costco, followed the directions exactly but ribs were not fall off the bone. After 7 hours hard to believe they were still tough.
I have heard of this happening. Are you using a separate temp probe on the grill grates next to the ribs or just the one in the lid? The one in the lid will always show a higher temp than the temp actually is on the “cool” side of your grill. Could be as much as 75-100 degrees. I would also check the temp gauge in the lid fir accuracy. I have a video on my channel that will help with that.
@@GrillinandChillinwithColeman It’s a lid thermometer but I feel it was pretty accurate. The ribs themselves were really meaty, they were cooked and had showed signs of pulling back from the bones but they were just tough. What I learned was don’t buy the ribs from Costco, while not cheap they always are really meaty and it seems like it’s hard to get them to just fall off the bone.
This was a great video, helped me greatly. Mine came out extremely tasty, juicy and moist. BUT mine definitely did not come out as “fall off the bone” as yours... still delicious lol ole lady ate more than I did, so I’ll count that as a win. Think my fatal flaw was my equipment. Not in the position to buy an expensive grill of any kind so I’m using a 4 burner char-broil. Not having a gauge to watch my cold side was a big mistake. With the 1 side burner cranked up as high as it would go, the gauge built into the grill lid, said it stayed at 250-270 the whole 6+ hours... but when that final dinner bell rang, I was heart broken to see the bones still had not started to poke through. (2 ribs on the skinny side started too but the rest hadn’t) I’m gonna give this another try, either after updating to a bigger better grill, or I might simply try adding 2+/- hours to my cook time. Maybe an extra hour before wrapping and an extra hour while wrapped...
Thank you for watching my friend!!! Glad the Old Lady liked them!!! LOL, it's all about trial and error with your grill. The temp on the gauge in the lid will usually read higher than the temp really is on the "cold" side of your grill. You might just try lighting that second burner on low, that might give you the extra temp you need to get them tender. I appreciate you watching and supporting the channel.
Well when everyone says they are the best they ever had I guess that says it all - 2 pointers - I could not get MC rub used 3 little pigs Kansas City Championship also did not have wide enough alum foil to really lock in BS and butter - thank you again for opening my eyes to homemade ribs - your the king in my book
This tasted Amazing, I definitely need to look into testing my grill temperature cause your ribs came out more smoked at 250 and way more darker and sexier than mine.
That will definitely make a big difference in the final product. I have a video on my channel showing how to check and calibrate your temp dial if you need help. Thanks for watching my friend,.
Those look amazing...I think I have doing min backwards...I start with the foil application first...I will definately try this great way!...thanks for the video!

They are definitely a delicious rib. One thing you might try is to use Monk fruit instead of brown sugar. I have lost 180 pounds since this video, and one thing that has helped with that is I no longer use sugar on anything. I have gone 100% with Monk fruit.
They look amazing, just found your channel & subscribed immediately, only question with this recipe is when talking temperature are you talking 250 degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit ?
Those ribs are good enough to make a grown man cry *sniff sniff*. Getting all weepy thinking about them 😭 I'm planning on trying this myself and there's some great detail to follow here. However, I have a gas grill with a smoker box attachment underneath. Seems like that's a good arrangement, but a bit unsure about placement.

Thank you very much my friend, I appreciate that.
Fall off the bone is my favorite! Nice job!
You and me both my friend! Thanks for stopping by and watching.
Hands down my brother I love your channel this how I learned how to smoke on my gas grill great looking ribs
I am enjoying your channel as well my friend. Your cooking reminds me of my home in NM. I appreciate you watching and supporting.
@@GrillinandChillinwithColeman alway's my brother
I don't have access to wood, can I still cook them the same without the smoke?
Amazing video and what a beautiful property
Thank you for watching, my friend. You can certainly do that, you can even use this method in your home oven. If you want that “smoke” flavor, add a little liquid smoke to the upstart at the beginning. Remember, a little goes a long way.
It’s not about feeding your friends, it’s about the bbq you made along the way
I think it's about both, my friend.
Where can I buy the dry rubs in California? The ribs look amazing. Love it.
Thanks for watching my friend. I have Amazon links to the rubs I use in the video description and on my website. I hope they help.
I’ve made these a few times and my family swears they’re the best ribs they have ever eaten and we’ve had a bunch of bbq here in Tennessee
I just love hearing things like this. Thank you for sharing that with me.
Amazing video thank you for clearly explaining your thought process.
Thank you for the kind words and I am glad the idea helped.
Hi Coleman, I have scoured RUclips and this video and recipe is the best I have found. I've got this dialed up for Super Bowl Sunday tomorrow. Planning to spend all day on the patio looking after the ribs--in the snow! Thank you for tremendous recipe and explanation.
That is a HUGE compliment my friend. I truly appreciate that. Enjoy the game and please let me know how they turn out.
I'm trying to find a great recipe for baby back ribs on a gas grill and I think I've found it. Can't wait to try this method out.
I appreciate that my friend. Let me know how it turns out.
Been wanting ribs but only own a gas grill thank you for this video
@@Ayyykidd glad I could help. Let me know how they turn out.
@@GrillinandChillinwithColeman yes sir will do
This was a great video, helped me greatly.
(2 ribs on the skinny side started too but the rest hadn’t)
I’m gonna give this another try, either after updating to a bigger better grill, or I might simply try adding 2+/- hours to my cook time.
I am glad they loved them. I get my MC rub on amazon and my foil at Sams if that helps. Thanks for letting me know how they came out.
Made these ribs today. Turned out beautiful. Thanks !
That is so awesome to hear. Thanks for watching and trusting me. What is next on the grill?
@@GrillinandChillinwithColeman more than likely some ribeyes. Thanks
@@andyb4050 sounds good. Check out my steak video.
Good info, making my first ribs tonight. Quick tip, I always run my ear bud and mic cord Inside my shirt!
I learned that the hard way. Standard practice now. Thanks for watching.
Absolutely loved your video! Very well done. Your blessed to have a beautiful place . 😁

I love hearing things like this. I am glad I could help and I appreciate you watching.
Great video but my question is what if you don’t have the seasoning that you use on the ribs ?? Is there a recipe on how to make the seasoning that you can make ourselves ?? Just curious. Thanks
Here is one that I use when I run short.
4 tablespoons honey powder
1 tablespoon paprika
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Thanks for watching my friend.
Really appreciate the response and answer . Found a few rubs at our local store. Going to try it and see how it goes. Will try your recipe next time. Thank you so much for answering and the video !!! Best wishes my friend !!!!
My type ome diabetes says "no"... but my stomach and eyes say "fu**ing do it!!" 🤣 my qife and i love sweer baby rays, too! Thanks for the video! Got my first geill as a housewarming gift last week and just bought some ribs. Gonna try something like this this weekend 🤘
They are definitely a delicious rib. One thing you might try is to use Monk fruit instead of brown sugar. I have lost 180 pounds since this video, and one thing that has helped with that is I no longer use sugar on anything. I have gone 100% with Monk fruit.
@GrillinandChillinwithColeman, do an updated video with monk fruit! That would be dope af!
@@blue5had0w great idea.
I can't wait to make these ribs this weekend!

They look amazing, just found your channel & subscribed immediately, only question with this recipe is when talking temperature are you talking 250 degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit ?
Thank you my friend, I appreciate that. That would be 250 Fahrenheit Sir.

WOW! Very informative and thorough. I love mixing honey hog and honey hog hot but now I have to try it with the bacon.
Meat church has some great stuff.
Well thank you! They did turn out pretty good. I have seen some gas grills with a smoker box, but sadly they are usually over the heat, and that's not where you want your ribs. Let me know how they turn out my friend.
Great video, wish I had seen this one way before I started cooking ribs. I will try this method next time. Good info, looks delicious how you bar-b-queued the ribs.
Thank you my friend. How is the way you grill yours different?
Have you tried putting the ribs in the center and the burners on on both sides, just wondering?
That is a great idea, I will have to try that next time. Have you done that on your grill with success?
How long do you recommend for the ribs to cook ? One slab or more ?? Please reply
I cook mine for a total of 5-6 hours. Thanks for watching.
