Using my prior cars as a reference (Porsches, Audi’s, Lincoln’s) I call my 2023 Lyriq 600e4 my “so, so” car. SO smooth, SO quiet, SO powerful, SO smart, and SO relaxing (with SuperCruse). I’ve owned the Lyriq for 3 months and have put over 7000 miles on it … a lot for a retired person. But … it’s so much fun to drive. BTW, you can drag and drop the info system icons and create your own home row just like an iPhone. A must drive experience for anyone looking at new cars! ❤

I own a 2024 Lyriq. I bought it in July, 2023, but I have had it in the dealer's shop multiple times. I picked it up last Fri, Oct 20 after six weeks in the shop. My various issues were not fixed. It is going back to the dealer only 2 days later. My vehicle is problem prone. I only have 750 miles on it. My wife will not drive it and I am reluctant to drive it. I want to like it, even love it, but not if I can't drive it.

I bought a 2024 Cadillac Lyriq in late July 2023. While driving it home the day I purchased it, the service driver assist system light came on but went off. Two weeks after buying the car, the right rear light went out and it was at the dealer twice for about 6 weeks. When I went to pick it up after finally having the rear light replaced, the door handle wouldn't close on the front passenger door and the car showed the door was open. That took about another month. When the door handle was replaced, the door handle didn't sit flush with the door anymore and I requested another handle replacement. Two days before my appointment for the door handle replacement, the service driver assist system light came back on and stayed on. I was told some special order part was needed. I have to also mention the front camera doesn't work in dark conditions, an issue I was told GM is aware of. I had this car for 3 months and was in a loaner vehicle for 2 months before deciding I was over the issues with this car. It was a fun drive when things were working. Would I recommend this car? It just depends on how much time an individual has to be at the dealer to get all the issues fixed.
Other things to note. Speakers are not great. To close your garage door if linked to car, you have to put your car in park to access the menu to allow you to close the garage.

I drove one of these here in Western Massachusetts from just outside the city of Springfield to just outside of Boston using supercruise on a model that had the dual motors. I was quite impressed with both features as I had no worry on the highway at all and the power and pick up were tremendous. The model that you're in here is the rear-wheel drive, 300 horsepower model and it just won't have the zest that one did. Having said as much for most people it is all they need. But, I do recommend supercruise. As for the reliability issues I see people talking about in the comments, my Hyundai ioniq 5 I'm considering trading up to one of these from is not exactly a paragon of reliability in itself. EV's are a relatively brand new market and the manufacturing capabilities we have for them are still being developed. As such that the Hyundai has spent probably about 6 months of the two years I've had it in the shop or waiting for updates to occur doesn't exactly turn me off to any other EV out there. If anything Cadillac's customer service is well known to be pretty decent and I'd imagine that they'd have a courtesy car waiting for me where they're doing an issue.

@@johnthomson5290 I can imagine it has plenty of grunt. But, when you're used to Model S's and Lucid Airs having 600 + horsepower as the reviewer in this video is I can see why he might think it would be a little lacking for power relative to the higher zoot models. Having said as much I can entirely view 300 horsepower with the immense torque that the electric motors provide being plenty for 99 percent of driving. Having said as much, having driven the 500 horsepower model,,,,,,,,

The charging adapter will be available for purchase from the MyCadillac app come November. Should be around $100. The lyriq will also come with surround vision and that will be available for use in 2025. Also you'll notice a NFC reader on the outside of the driver door. GM hasn't really specified when that would be available for use but apparently it'll be like a card key you can use to tap and open the vehicle

The first offer was a debut edition. They are working out software bugs in the first year. The trade off for dealing with that is more features at a lower price than he 2024. There is no deception in pricing.

I'm listening carefully and my lyriq is...... a love hate relationship. I hate she has been in the shop 10x from minor screen fluxing to actually blacking out. At one point she wouldn't take a charge. Very scary. I've had this car since September. I have 11k miles. I love this car when she is working. GM is usually very good at customer service so we will see how they remedy my situation.

According to a post on Cadillac Owners Forum, the availability of the Heads-Up Display (HUD) on the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq is still uncertain1. However, a recent post on the same forum suggests that the 2024 Lyriq manual has a section on HUD1. The manual mentions that the HUD will be available on the Sport 3 and Luxury 3 trims, while the other trims will receive a standard HUD1. It is important to note that the information in the manual is subject to change and may not be accurate1
The Cadillac Lyriq serves as Caddy’s very first all-electric production model, offering up a long list of high-tech features. That said, one glaring omission from the Lyriq’s feature list is a head-up display (HUD), something which the Lyriq’s platform-mate, the all-new Chevy Blazer EV, does offer. With that in mind, we think it’s high time that GM offers a HUD for the Cadillac Lyriq.
Critically, the Cadillac Lyriq does not offer a HUD, despite riding on the same GM BEV3 platform as the Chevy Blazer EV. As GM Authority covered back in March, it was originally believed that the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq would offer a HUD, specifically a display with augmented reality technology developed in collaboration with U.K.-based tech startup Envisics. Now, however, it turns out this is not the case, and the Lyriq still does not offer a HUD, nor has Cadillac set a date for the introduction of a HUD for the Lyriq in the future.
Of course, all this begs the question - does the Cadillac Lyriq really need a HUD? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below, and remember to subscribe to GM Authority for more Cadillac Lyriq news, Cadillac news, GM technology news, GM electric vehicle news, and around-the-clock GM news coverage. Vote is in 86% yes
Does the Cadillac Lyriq need a head-up display?
      Absolutely! It definitely needs one.
      86%
      No, not really that important.
      14%
For those readers who may be unaware, a HUD is typically a digital readout that projects useful information onto the windshield. The information is displayed just within the driver’s line of sight so as not to block their view of the road, while still providing information closer to their view than the gauge cluster behind the wheel. This technology is particularly useful for things like navigation directions, vehicle speed, or safety system warnings, as it allows the driver to view the information without taking their eyes off the road. The Chevy Blazer EV offers a HUD (RPO code UV6) as part of the RS Convenience and Driver Confidence Package (RPO code ZL5), which is bundled together with several other safety and convenience features, including Adaptive Cruise Control (RPO code KSG), Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking (RPO code UGN), a Rear Camera Mirror (RPO code DRZ), and more.

I have a 2024 that I got about a month ago. Had a charging problem that was probably associated with the fact that I wasn’t charging it every night and went for a whole week without charging and only going five or 10 miles a day so the 12V battery discharged. Not concerned about the glove box soft-button ("security feature"?). I did order the sun-roof option (current 2014 SRX has one as did the two CTSs before that). I did a comp with the 10 year old SRX and size-wise, they are pretty close: Lyriq is 7.3 inches longer bumper-to-bumper; 1.4 inches shorter; 2.6 inches wider - not including mirrors. After 10 years and about 44k miles with the SRX, it was time.

It was a right decision that we did buy Chevy Bolt instead of this Cadillac Lyriq; despite of I had the budget for Cadillac Lyriq. This is because of Super Cruise got taken away from Cadillac Lyriq. It appears that I use Super Cruise a lot during the holiday, due to traffic jam on the freeway. Also, the reliability of Chevy Bolt reputation compared to something that just came out. I think gm making a mistake to stop making reliable product that going to bring good name to the company.

Paying more for less , my 1980 Fleetwood Brougham de Elegance was more luxurious and loaded with features . This is to spars , austere and utilitarian for me 👎🏾

I have a 20 Silverado, 20 Impala, and a 23 LYRIQ, I have never had any warranty work done on any of them. About 4 years ago I had a Lexus that was in and out of the service dept so many times Lexus bought it back.

True at one time... but not so much today. In the latest JD Power quality rankings, GM ranks pretty high. All 4 GM brands (Buick, Chevy, GMC, and Cadillac) beat Lexus. And Toyota fell pretty far... they're just mid nowdays. Times are changing.

Terrible design. The worse design of an EV ever made.

Don't be fooled by the hype. The battery technology hasn't matured yet so it will be very costly to replace them. Also the fire hazard and range anxiety are major concern.
