Some nice work so far, keep it going. One little concern is the engine side mount, bare in mind dragsters go in straight lines and the engine is wedged in between rails with a dedicated engine plate . You'll be going round corners
Yeah that’s a very good point. But since it will be bolted it’s no different to flat mount I guess. Only better
Nice idea they use jubilee engine mounts moving it front or rear to alter the center of mass depending the conditions of traction cause temprature humidity etc can effect it. you can use it to change the weight distribution for better acceleration and cornering but you have to make bolt holes slotted to be adjustable
Thanks for the info. i did not know that they were using it for weight distribution. good to know.
Great work lads, like the drag style mount idea 👍🏽 looking forward to seeing the next update.
Thanks 👍
looking great Ruski ! ...I think you should consider supporting the rear 'Dog bone' Mount on both sides of the rose joint. There will be a lot of thrusting that the bolt will inevitably experience. And I've seen similar setups on lower power setups that have pulled out the threads, or straight up split the gearbox case from the forces experienced.
You know what, you not the first to suggest it! I may have to upgraded it a little
Smart setup and great cinematic start to the video! Keeping a eye out for the next to see how it’s all going to be installed 👍🏻
Thanks! 👍
Very tidy! interesting idea mounting to the strut tower... I assume there's not much chassis leg left? I'm interested in the Polybush you used and diameter tube? Didn't see a link :)
will update description with links
Do you make fuel tank guards ? For Clio mk 2
