    Awesome, I just did a weld test today on some intercooler piping and I should've watched this before hand. 😅 I did fine, but for customer parts I definitely need to make sure everything is super clean and I'm fully penetrating.

    You don’t want it to fully bleed through an penetrate on intercooler piping crests a blocky flow unless you grind down the inside every time

      I was thinking fusing tig would be the best way if done proper

    Old video, but i got a tip from somewhere that says just keep extra tungstens preground on the table, and sharpen them in batches. So you dont need to stop and grind if you dip.

    Love your videos man. Have you played with the ep and en function yet? I played with mine a little I think it cane shipped with a certain amperage for both. What would you change those settings for? Thin or thicker?

      zenteno5p depends on the situation. If I was getting paid by the hour then yes I would. If I was getting paid by the part I wouldn’t.

      Me too. Just ordered one. 210 ext. 255 seemed a little too much amperage for what I like doing. Theres always helium if not. My tweco water cooler will be here tomm. This guy looks like hes got the HTP. nice machine as well. He acts like hes been a production tig welder for awhile, I admire him, tho he does few things lil different than most. Cant believe how many people thumbs downed him, hatin' assholes. Bet they're not on RUclips showcasing THEIR skills, or LACK OF prolly

    So how do you stop the filler rod like sticking to the puddle and creating a string of shit from the filler? I keep having this problem

    • @codybetterman3547
      @codybetterman3547 3 года назад +1

      sounds like your filler rod is melting before the puddle and causing it to string, double check your settings, consumables and mats for the application and make sure you have a tight ark and your not angling your torch too far to your filler or too big of a gap, also food for thought, more HZ = tighter puddle, less = a bigger puddle. I'm still a beginner myself so i may be wrong on some of this and someone will come along and set me straight and give you better advice, but i hope this helps!

    • @timothyhackett7372

      I figured it out was the cup and collet I had was giving inadequate gas coverage and wasn't working properly getting good welds now tho 👌

    Scrape the rods with a 3face scrapper.. then acetone

  • @es47
    @es47 5 лет назад

    Could of had that done in half the time if you didnt have to mess with the vice. Build a small rotary table even if its not powered it holds in one position and clamped once same spot and dont weld near can of brake cleaner the tip dip happens to all of us good work tho

    • @belloautomotive1522
      @belloautomotive1522  5 лет назад +1

      shaun schollaert thanks for watching. I do have a drill powered weld positioner I use in a some of my earlier videos. With the nature of my work being a lot of one off parts, I find it quicker to weld in the clamp then get the turn table out, set it up and secure the part on it, it takes longer than to just weld in the clamp.

    • @TheTurbineEngineer
      @TheTurbineEngineer 5 лет назад

      The only thing I can see wrong with the vice is it's resting on smooth stainless and it slipped as he put a little pressure on it with his wrist. Secure the vice and problem solved! Good video though.

      Glenn Coates 120 amps (with foot pedal), 60hz, 68 negative balance, #8 gas lens 20cfh, and 1/16th 5356 wire. Pretty basic settings you can play around with what works for you. Just get the material good and clean and keep torch angle to a minimum.
