Thor definitely has more brunt, but Scarlet Witch is more versatile. She could probably put a hex on Thor or toy with his mind like she did in Age of Ultron. It's really whoever the writers want to win, which is a boring answer but the truth.

He didn't land a single godamn hit on Thanos the entire end fight, and Captain America who picked up Mjolnir showed instant mastery of the hammer. And Thor had a fucking uru axe.
Let's not forget that he never used his flight anymore, only to fly from point A to point B.

Due to his unhealthy life style over the course of five years Thor’s strength is significantly weaker and not in his prime that’s one reason why he didn’t do so well against Thanos.

@@lefishe6611 I think he means that they threw away all of Thor’s development in Thor Ragnarok and Infinity War just to reduce him back to being comical relief and as strong as the other Avengers.
I think that has always been the biggest problem with the Avengers, theres like literally a god and a huge green monster and then theres 4 regular (more or less) persons and when they fight together they all seem equally strong. But then in their own fighting scenes their all insanely strong, like if Ragnarok Thor would have fought with Thanos in endgame he wouldn’t have needed any assistance or weapons and Thanos would have been toast.
Besides that neither Marvel or the Avengers seem to take Thor seriously, with Marvel you can see that by the way in group movies he’s always presented as no more then comedic relief (except in Infinity war where it was comedic relief talking with comedic relief, aka the Guardians making it more normal and making the dynamic working better I think) And it doesn’t seem like the Avengers care much either because they have all kept contact with each other except for with Thor who they left to be depressed in new asgard alone for who knows how many years.

Peter remarks on Thor's struggling to do a full arm curl.
Pans out to a wide shot, revealing that Thor is lifting a 1000+ ton ship.
Thor is unable to lift it, but remarks by saying Peter is barely even on his 5th set of 10, while Thor is on his 50th set of 25.
Peter replies by saying he sprained his arm two days ago while trying to fix the Benatars engine.
Thor laughs, and says he should've asked for either Groot's or his help.
Groot nods in agree meant, with another pan out revealing Alpha Groot hauling around a tree that would dwars even the largest of redwoods on Earth.
Peter scoffs, then drops the dumbbell on his foot.

And Ragnarok established how he calls the lightning when he wants SO PLEASE TELL ME how he just sits there letting Thanos almost push stormbreaker in his chest? hello? call a fucking lightning bolt to hit him perhaps? I swear I sometimes love and hate the hammer/stormbreaker because they always conveniently forget Thor's powers when relying on them. You know how the Russo brothers said Endgame Thor was "the strongest he's ever been?"
That's funny, because the entire fight, Thor didn't land a single hit on Thanos, even with both StormBreaker and mJolnir. It was just him being a liability, getting his ass kicked.
During the final fight, he never uses his flight powers, except to get from point A to point B.
Remember in Infinity War, when he arrives in Wakanda, he jumps up, and slams into the ground, causing a massive lightning shock and taking out a ton of Outriders? Instead, in the final battle of Endgame, he is just fighting enemies one by one, completely useless, a base Wakandian solder could do that. He's the god of freakin Thunder!! For christs sake.
Or when he flies around in Infinity War, destroying the Outrider vessels effortlessly?
Also, remember how in Ragnarok, Thor "unlocked" his true lightning powers, proving he didn't need a weapon to kick ass?
He did that sick spin combo where he dived forward, spinning and taking out multiple enemies.
Well, in Endgame, Thor didn't use his lightning mastery for anything other than to power up Iron Man's repulsor rays and a quick change of clothes.
Bad showwriting, they nerfed Thor hard and his powers and abilities are super inconsistent. Remember in the first Thor, when he conjured a giant storm to fight the Destroyer? Well, he never uses that again. And remember in Ragnarok, when Thor spins his hammer like a fan? Well, he never does that again, either.
PBStormForce if Thor was op in endgame, thanos, iron man, captain American and captain marvel wouldn’t have been so significant. They want a bit of everyone not just Thor

Causing a tornado is not more impressive than beating an Infinity Blast head-on and chopping Thanos in the chest shortly after.
Thor was substantially weaker in Endgame because he was terribly out of shape; it was evident that he couldn't use his powers to the fullest. Him stopping someone with Thanos' level of strength from plunging an axe into his chest takes enough of his concentration.
It is odd that he wouldn't fly more. I imagine that it's just some plot-induced stupidity to give the other heroes something to fight lol. Because he could've totally spammed that "Bring me Thanos!" attack a bunch more times and wiped the alien army out much, much faster. Or fly around and raze the the army with lightning with ease like he did at 1:47. I've always said that Marvel needs to give their heavy-hitters the Superman treatment in terms of fight scenes - they need to be more consistent and remember that these characters are _powerhouses._ While they not be as strong as their planet-busting comic counterparts, they have been equated to nukes (re: Civil War). They need to be more consistent in portraying the gravity of that type of power.
For ex, you'll have Thor fight Hulk in superhuman H2H combat at the start of Ragnarok, but later on when he fights Hela in H2H combat, the choreography doesn't reflect combat between 2 people with superhuman Hulk-like strength. If I had never seen that fight scene before and you replaced Thor and Hela with random silhouettes and showed then showed that fight to me, I never would've guessed that it was a fight between 2 people with superhuman strength. It looks like a fight between regular people. You don't get that inconsistency with Superman fights these days. If Superman were to fight someone with his level of power, it'd never be a fight choreographed like regular H2H combat like Thor vs. Hela. It'd be like the fight against Zod or Doomsday - sonic booms and punches sending each other flying across thousands of feet.
That being said, I still enjoyed the fight scenes we got. I just wish they were more consistent in portraying the power-levels of heavy-hitters in the MCU.
Imagine a guy disappearing for three years, only to return with a haircut, new weapon, maxed out powers, and a talking tree and raccoon.
4:30 is shows how strong thor is..He is at least in the same strength category strong as thanos..Thanos is trying to push the axe back struggle but cant then cap comes in and helps.
Tbf, that was thanks resisting Thor's strength along with mjiolnir and stormbreaker who both can fly and generate their own force. So the strength scale for this verse goes [captain marvel>>Thanos=hulk>Thor]>>>>>>>>> just about everybody else.

@@arturocastroverde3349 Disagree. He balanced humour well with drama and while there were jokes, they didn't lack dramatic subtext. His entire arc of sulking into depression after having a hollow victory by killing Thanos, then meeting his mum and realising that his failures and depression didn't make him unworthy, suiting as a bloody Viking and finally abolishing bloodline monarchy and focussing on being who he is - an adventurer at heart was solid.

@@arturocastroverde3349 Because the character is still alive and is more popular than ever. Endgame culminated his arc, but it also brought it full circle to the OG Thor (with both being unsure of what to do next). His journey in the Infinity Saga is complete, but his character will still carry on.
