It's been 2 years and I still get chills from head to toe when I watch this. And I still cry tears of joy 2 years later lol. What a great time this was!!!
Watching now in 2021, as a Yankee fan I’m so happy the Nats won. I never cheered so much for another team in my life. Thank you, Nats for defeating the cheaters. It’s like my team won the world championships lol.
Not only that Ray, but for me, I'd been thru all the losing and heartbreak since age 7 in the summer of '79 when I started my association as an Expos fan at Three Rivers Stadium (my first MLB game)! So this being accomplished with all four wins on the road against the franchise that had egregiously stained the game made that 40 yr fan wait all the more sweeter! It took a bit for it to officially sink in, but it became my all-time fave moment of any professional sport! I have a ball cap collection that goes back to my senior yr in HS (1990) and my Nats World Championship hat is THE prize of that collection! I continue to wear it with the utmost pride

As someone who lives in Texas and is a displaced St Louis Cardinals fan, I am proud the Nationals defeated the cheating Astros. I cant wait to go to an Astros game next season with a big old drum pounding it like the dude at the A's Colliseum.

I'm just surprised nothing big is happening to the Astros. Other individual sports players get caught cheating they lose their player rights but when a group does it. Nothing big happens
In retrospect it was probably MLB’s way of stopping the bleeding. If they didn’t offer “immunity” for honest testimony from the Houston players (which they didn’t need at all) then MLB ‘s feet would have been held to the fire with massive consequences.
Thats because it was a league wide issue but Mike Fiers went public with what the Astros did.. a lot if not most teams were doing something at the time remember the apple watches by Boston? Why would they only punish one team for something most the league is doing?

MLB investigated the allegations and confirmed in January 2020 that the Astros illegally used a camera system to steal signs during the 2017 regular season and postseason, during which they won the World Series.
