As a rangers fan, I truly do hope that you guys win it all soon. The fans and the team deserve a championship down in the desert. I’ll be rooting for you guys! Best of luck!
Crazy stat: this was the D-backs third WS road game in a row where they led going into the bottom of the ninth and the opposing team tied it up and won in extras. 1. Game 4, 2001 WS 2. Game 5, 2001 WS 3. Game 1, 2023 WS Game 2 was also the first WS road win in franchise history
So I noticed pretty much every real first pitch of the world series is taken and the ball is kept. Carrol said screw that noise and angered the baseball gods into making him a mediocre player from an MVP finalist.
I wonder what happened to all the games of the season (both broadcasts too, with intact MLB tv commercial breaks) being uploaded to the official MLB channel at the end of each season. They haven’t done it since 2018. I’d love it if they bring that practice back and upload all the 2019-23 games to the channel (with commercials), as well as doing the same for the games that were on mlb tv before 2009, maybe even all the way back to the beginning in 2002, as I’m sure they have all those games in their archives. In addition, a lot of the games between 2014 and 18 that are on the channel have been made private over the years, and it would be nice if they were all made public again. As an added bonus, they should upload the home and away (and national where applicable) radio broadcasts of each game up to 2023 on the MLB channel as well. It would be nice if they went back even further than the beginning of mlb tv as well, perhaps to the ‘90s? I’d imagine those videos having similar visuals as if you listen to a radio broadcast on mlb tv.
That pitch to Seager has to be one of the dumbest pitches ever thrown. EVERYONE knows Seager sits on high fastballs on the first pitch. The announcers spent the entire time before he stepped in the box talking about it. Then the catcher called for one and the pitcher agreed and Seager hit it to the moon.
Did Joe Buck retire? He was the voice of the postseason for several decades along with Tim Mcarver who sadly passed in February of 2023. His final World Series broadcast was in 2013.
No postseason game in the idiotic new playoff format started in 2022 deserves to be called a classic! Hey the rangers finally won a WS and it only took mlb expanding the postseason for it to happen! Who wouldn’t wanna watch the fifth and sixth best team in each league battle it out for the commissioners trophy!
One of the greatest games in Texas Rangers history, and one of the greatest I've ever had the fortune of attending!
2:29:43 seager bomb
3:00:49 Game winner
Nobody cares he couldn’t do that if he tried 100 more times

Painful ending as a longtime Dbacks fan, but man overall what a great game!

I hate Seager even more
Rangers fan here. You guys were nothing but class acts and have my full respect. Hats off and hope y’all find a ring soon!
As a Rangers fan... this might be one of the best games in the franchise. IMO
second best next to game 5 :)

The most boring yeah 🤣
Please post full games more often, these are cool.
This game set the tone for the series
12 years to the day that David freese broke rangers hearts. Baseball truly is poetry in its purest form
What a great game!

Re -watching I remember how much John talked about the diamond backs
My grandfather told me about this game. Must've been wild back then.

Those capital one banners behind home plate (2:29:15) weren't actually there, someone edited them into the video 😂
Congratulations on watching your first baseball game.
Seagers home run is the most important hit in Rangers history. Literally franchise altering.
Audio messed up. Can't hear announcers over noise 😢
2:29:35 John Smoltz calling Seager going after the high fastball mere seconds before the homer happened.
Why is there no world series highlight film for 2023?
MLB hates the rangers.

Horrible pitch. Like they wanted to see a bomb.

He signed with ESPN to cover their Monday Night Football broadcasts
He’s not with Fox anymore also Joe Davis is a great announcer, he did a good job covering the 2022 and 2023 WS
Freddie just made history what a beautiful moment 🔥 🔥 🔥

As a rangers fan I got to go watch the rangers play the dodgers at Dodger stadium. so I was pulling for them all the way
We should put MORE ads on this video
Epic!
Adolis la bestia 🇨🇺🇨🇺🇨🇺🇨🇺
He could’ve shared co mvp with seger if he wasn’t hurt. Had to settle for conference finals mvp
Not even a year and already "classic" ? Lol
I'd call it more of an "instant classic"
Yes
buddy has never heard of an instant classic
@@MrH.09agree, as a dbacks fan, I also thought it was an instant classic.
Even tho this WS wasn’t really memorable (I enjoyed it because we won it all 😁) game 1 was an instant classic

Salty d-backs fan found.
You act like texas just got lucky with each team they were playing. Plus wasn't there fault the others chocked
Why would yo think I’m a dbacks fan when I’m making fun of them too?
most boring world series ever (I’m an astros fan)
that explains the pointless comment
Thanks for tuning in bro
so youre mad that the team you hate most is gonna be remembered as champions while your team is remembered as cheaters?
