- As Keir Starmer began his Labour Party conference speech, a protestor stormed the stage, covered the leader in glitter and proceeded to shout into the microphone about democracy.
As security reached the podium, they dragged the protestor out in front of a sea of Labour members and supporters who cheered the leader on to continue.

Where was he when Tory conference was on, defending democracy after voter ID laws...
prob at 55 Tufton St.
Genuinely thought Rachel Reeves was going to go full hulk mode and do a John Prescott to the glitterprick who ran on stage 😂
She sounded preposterous with the iron discipline nonsense in the speech yesterday- taxes are going to have to go up under Labour and the rich will have to be made to pay more. Rightly so.
Glitterprick! 😂😂😂
Best comment on the Internet lol
Well, it certainly brought a little sparkle to the proceedings...
Never a dull day with Labour.
👍
Shows you the Tories are now really desperate. They poisoned Gordon Banks in Mexico in 1970, you know? Few days before the General Election then.
'glitter' 'sparkle' - see what you did there.
Actually, it’s dull days I’m kinda hoping for.
Politics worked better when it wasn’t all lights and cameras.
Not the kind of security that I would expect for a potential prime minister .
What are they gonna do? Confiscate his glitter? 🙄
Potential PM ? Are these two chumps the best we can muster up ? It’s a sorry state !
staged?
I don't think it was staged judging by the look of genuine embarrassment on his face
I don't think any one is aiming to " take down" a shadow government representative,😂, we're all "shadow government " lol, in other words,..make believe 😂.
Terrible security team.
This guy doesn't seem to understand why Starmer was on stage, why didn't he attack the Conservatives, oh yeah, because he wanted a easy target!
Why was the security so bad??
Well he is right politics has to be updated because it's not working
There is the time and the place, and it certainly wasn't then. Was he London Tory MI5?
@@huwzebediahthomas9193 The time and the place is always today, right now for justice and eqaulity
@@DonaldDuck-wg3qx So this unelected self-publicist, all the way from the mean streets of Surrey; lectures an elected MP and elected party leader on his views on democracy.
He ain't no Tory or MI5 plant, he's a fu*kwit who should go home and get back under his duvet and practice his only skill-playing with himself.😊🙃😊
@@huwzebediahthomas9193it was absolutely the perfect time and place.
It's not working with a Tory government, that's true enough, maybe he should've been in Manchester last week
Hello.... security!??....?? 😡
Probably some stinking rich young Conservative, throw the book at the prat.
Sparkles
🗣️ ladies drag him away
The most responsible person in that room is a man with a bag of glitter.
Fair play to him. He's right we do need to update politics. Glittering gold star for you, well done ⭐
He needs some better security, this was awful, don't care who it was 😮
there he was was on stage - it was only glitter, but history has told us well, it could have been oh so different....
Spat coffee all over my laptop at Emily’s pineapple juice reference today. Then cried with laughter as it sailed over Jon and Lewis’ heads. Naughty girl. Brilliant!
That's Terrible security. That could have been anything. It was Glitter but that could have been anything. The Guy came from back stage as well. Security will get a Bo**ocking for that.
Strange how a MET POLICE OFFICER was stood right there to remove that Con London Assembly Member at Cruella's Speech on the Con Conference.
Manchester hasnt been brilliant with Policing stuff in the past. BTP failed the Policing of the Grande Concert & 22 people died because only 2 officers were on duty as it was Sunday Night & one of them was on a Meal break when the Suicide bomber detonated his back pack as the concert was turning out. The BTP were held responsible for not policing the area properly.
The IRA gave Manchester a New Arndale centre in the 90's by blowing it up.
The best bit was them taking him down & then dragging him off the stage..
Who were the bodyguards in charge of his safety?
It took them too long to protect him, didn't it?
I think they thought it was part of the speech & then when they realised they took him down. Someone should have been stood at the backstage exit.
Security agreed with the protester, he is not wrong
I dont think I would have used glitter.
That was a perfect moment for Keir Starmer to say " Here's to a sparkling future"! As the man was being dragged out 😂
Starmer doesn't have the ready wit to come up with that.
Oh keir oh keir oh keir.
Or, more realistically, "Oh, CUR! Oh, CUR! Oh, CUR!"
@@Demun1649 oh yah.
@@huwzebediahthomas9193 Ok yah more like. The rich will be ok under Blairbour.
Top-notch security you’ve got over there in the UK! 😏🙄
If youre american what about JFK.
@@mogadon7 Post-JFK, and later RFK, presidential security upgrades in America are why it's shocking to see a protester get in close proximity to someone who could become UK prime minister after the election.
scary, what the heck is security doing, and how on earth even with a pass no bag check no body checks nothing into conference.
David Lammy, the nearly-have-a-go-hero: "I saw him running. I almost went for him."
Well done 😅
A decent politician would want to sit down and discuss this mans grievances, not call him names and take the mickey out of him.
What is his name? Any updaye or interviews with him
Politics needs an update. The guy is not wrong with what he said.
Was that one of Calvin Robinson's disciples?
Strong women those two
Well handled by Starmer, but surely serious questions need to be asked about the security arangements. The security staff were way too slow to react, they must have been asleep if they didn't spot him in advance making his way towards the stage. And having removed him from the stage, it was left to two ladies to bundle him out of the building!!!
Suellas new campaign manager
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Bit of a prank, but he’s right !
Politics is dead in the UK
We desperately need some humans !
Apparently a right wing think tank and Tory ex-ministers liked the speech and even the protesters throw glitter. All things considered, not bad.
I mean, the guy wasn’t wrong.
Our politics is pretty broken right now.
Labour need to be more and more bold now, let’s lead the world in a green revolution, and proving a nation can once again be happy and peaceful.
We are well capable!!
100% staged.
No body guards ?
The fact he used tinsel and was easily dragged away by two women stewards shows he was hardly a threat.
With WEF in control of both parties we the people need a voice
Who's WEF and what group was the glitter guy talking about?
It’s another bonkers conspiracy theory that’s all.

That performance looked staged 😂... if it wasnt then Keir handled it incredibly well 😅
If he thinks glitter spoils suits and dresses - that tells us how dull life under Labour control will be...
Is that all you've got mate?
@@UPTHETOWN How about - _'that's not fair - Glitter wasn't the child molester he let off!'_
Thats as exciting as it gets with Starmer
If exciting means lies, corruption, cronyism, ineptitude, bullying and treating the electorate with contempt, I think I can live without it.
Glittering applause for Sir Keir.
Where are the security services? That was the security services sent by little Rishi.
Keith Richard would have hit him with his Guitar.
Common purpose glitter fest
They all have their snouts in the trough so don’t expect anything but contempt from those attending
watch angela raynor lapping it up ,its like she thinking if keir gets assasinated , then ime now number 1
He did more for Kier Starmer in 20 seconds than Kier could do in 20 months. So the question is ,was that a set up?
Yeah, was staged
He looks(Starmer) just as unhuman as the Tories. His eyes are empty
he was afraid and trying not to show it. maybe you should practice recognizing human emotions
@@StanleyKubick1 Initially he was startled but quite quickly realized he wasnt in any physical danger.
Not voting for labour, never will. However, had Sir Kier stuck a clean headbut on this guy I might have reconsidered. Oh well.
He so plastic, it just fell off him.
Love of the chanellor pretend to care whilst snakey greesy Wes is loving it😂😂😂
It is so obvious that it was staged
Looks staged to be honest. No way should it take that long to intervene
Totally agree !!! It was so staged
Starmer is the new Gary Glitter except he only starves children
I think you'll find it's the Tories that have starved the kids, they have been in "control" for the last 13 years
Clearly staged
If Labour doesn’t even have a grip on their own security just imagine how the are going to handle the borders
There isn't a real problem with the borders, apart from the one manufactured by the crooked Tories
