Protester who glitter bombed Keir Starmer arrested by Merseyside police

- A protester who disrupted Keir Starmer's speech with glitter at the Labour Party conference in Liverpool has been arrested.
Merseyside Police said: “We can confirm that a 28-year-old man from Surrey has been arrested following an incident at the Labour Party conference earlier this afternoon.
“The man was detained by security at the event and handed over to the police who arrested him on suspicion of S39 assault, breach of the peace and causing public nuisance.
“He has been taken to a police station where he will be questioned by police.”

So this annoys me, I got my home invaded, harassed and threatened with stabbing by a gang of young drug dealers across a two year span. The police didn't even take their names on any of the occasions they actually turned up never mind arrested anyone. Starmer gets glittered and they arrest the man

Depends on the numbers,whether it's safe enough to come out. Odds of about ten to one would be about right. Six to remove gollywogs from a pub some weeks ago,half a dozen to arrest one peaceful protester in Wales yesterday. Remember the time past when one or two coppers could look after the whole village? They can't walk along a street now.
so what they arrested him dont think he be charged with anything its just a protest he caused no harm and its our right

Where was the security detail? Surely people responsible understood how important this speech was and it should never have been interrupted. Someone is accountable for this and their performance should be judged as a catastrophic failure of security protection!
