I wanna get a carbon fiber subframe for mine. But gotta contact the company to see if they can make one with the airbox forward enough to leave space for grab holds. Or if the the thing can be trusted as a grab hold at all lol

Crazy that Yamaha and KTM keep making 2 strokes for such a small market. I wish they would have focused on putting FI on the 2 strokes and anything else to keep the tree huggers happy.

He has to adjust his carburetor, air flow and gas adjustment there’s 2 bolts that will take a flat head screwdriver. He will have to play with those till he finds a idol he’s happy with.... From the dealer they didn’t set it for any of the bikes I’ve bought brand new. Hope it helps if not lmk.

They released a 2022 it’s a complete redesign. New technologies in the motor for how they release the gas , different plastics. Different bike all around go look at it . Pretty cool
Yamaha engineers will say anything to anybody to spice it up. Change a little bit of plastic and a little bit of radiator color and whatnot. Then charge more money, just to sell a 16-year-old bike. I thought my bike was hot s*** back in 2014. Until I realized they've been selling the same bike for 8 years. Now they are selling the same bike 8 years later. Very disappointed
@@RyanBoden After I get used to riding again, and get board of the power of my 2019 YZ250, I think I will just mill the head for more compression and get rid of the spacer in front of the reed block, (if possible, it should be). This bike has lower compression than previous YZ's, so it can run crappy gas from all over the world. I do port and stroke little 30cc 2-stroke engines for a living, and am sure the mid range will be quite a bit stronger than stock, and even add a bit more on top.
Don't know much about em anymore, but I know Yamaha always held the crown for speed, and Honda was always top of my list for durability. But those ol CRFs are pure junk. Nice damn bike and if I was in the market for one it would be a Yamaha
Honestly depends on your maintenance, and how hard you ride it. If you do frequent oil changes and clean your air filter after every ride you could go 80-100 hours in the top end I would say.
Why tf did the bike not idle? The engine just gave up right after you stopped revving it lol, that bike definitely needs a tune up forsure, and also I feel like every year, the colour on the bike gets more darker and cooler, cleaner lol
I let my wife kick my 91 yz250 wearing a pair of sandals. It took her 20 mins, 200 kicks and a broken heel but she got there in the end.... she's the best 🤣
You look about my size. I can't stand how tall my 2019 is, (barely touching tippy toes on the ground, and hard to touch both at the same time), so I am having the suspension and seat lowered, along with an adjustable sub-frame, (mine modified), and the pro circuit lowering link, (no grease on the linkage bolts, lube them or they will rust). I am 5"9" and almost 225 lbs, and it feels like I am riding a sky scrapper. Set the stock spring for 105mm of sag, and it feels like the bike is to "nose down", and even a higher sky scraper. I will crash on this damn thing. I have not had a bike since my 97 KX250, but they made them taller for some stupid reason, (and I think I know the stupid reason). More weight will require heavier springs, but this is actually the worst feeling MX bike I have ever owned right out of the box. I am not riding the damn thing until I fix it. Doug in Michigan. PS, the front tire stinks too. I ride softer dirt to sand mostly, and already picked up a pair of Dunlop MX33's.
I lowered mine 5'9" 147 lbs.. I didn't like it and changed it back.. Keep forward momentum and feet never need to touch the ground. Plus at 220 you should compress the suspension enough.. Looks like a baby bike with suspension lowered.. Bar risers I do like on every bike I own though, i know it sounds counter intuitive but I like to sit in a pocket not even with the bars..
She would have had no problem with a boot on, (or very little getting used to it). But when a little kid tells me "I can't do it.", I always tell the kid, "Sure you can. You just have not done it yet, that's all."
