Hi there, it isn't Sapphire Crystal, it's Seiko Hardlex.

Sapphire crystal would make it perfect. Beautiful watch.

What is the difference between the srph77 and the srph77k1?

I believe the only difference is the k1 is not made in Japan.

It's surprising, but because the lug to lug is so compact the watch wears very, very small for a 43mm dia. And for that reason I decided against buying one of these. Reminds me of a MAS Irukandji which I purchased (spent ages adjusting the silly bracelet) and wore once - never to be worn again. This lug design is perfect on a 46 mm watch (e.g. an Arnie) which then wears like a 42mm watch, but not on a 43mm unless one has a smaller wrist in which case the it would be a great way to wear a Tuna.

Is it sapphire? It is posted as Hardlex in all the Seiko's dealers/sellers.

I am planning to buy this watch.
    What's wrong with the movement?
It would be my first automatic watch

Nothing,4r 35 is probably the best selling automovement ever,it's sturdy easy to service and very very reliable, only downside is Seiko doesnt regulate their movements so you can get some with -3 sec or with - 12 sec a day.

They need to stop pushing outdated automatic watches so much. Quartz is more accurate and tougher.

    • @stevezodiac575

You are right, you can buy a more accurate quarts watch for $20. But that's not what watch collecting is about.
