I think you stumbled onto something…crawler canyon podcast? I’m here for it.
Great job! I just might get a RedCat
I'd like to see you give the Ruff Stuff 27t a try!
I use the G2 in all my rigs with 10t holmes crawlmaster 550 motors ..on 2 s it’s fast enough at a fast walking pace if you want it to be .if not I just turn the throttle epa down to 40% and it’ll go slow as a 45 turn 550 which is bloody slow to slower than a fusion if you turn down the EPA and the start up setting to 9 ..and the drag brake on the fly is brilliant .if the fusion did the adjustable. Drag brake on the fly id go back to using them …mine are in back the box .I’m up and down mountain trails so that drag brake is a boon here .
You keep mentioning FOC for the 1080's but I don't see anything about FOC being an option on the 1080's. I thought that was a Fusion thing?? 🤓
Yay brushed lives! I'm a brushed guy just like the sound and feel of them, can't wait for Injora to release that ESC I'll get 2, 1 for me and 1 for the wife's Gatekeeper. Thanks for sharing.
I still have one rig with a brushed motor and HW 1080 G1 and it does just fine, especially when considered in a vacuum. But when the motor inevitably dies, in goes a Fusion. I'll keep the 1080, though, in case a rig comes along in which a Fusion just won't fit. If I had to choose among the three, I'd still go with the G1 just because I'm addicted to smoothness, but as you said it's a personal preference. A good time was definitely had and, as always, looking forward to more.
Im gonna blow ya mind....Red paint is heavier than blue paint 😆 🤣 😂
White paint is da heaviest........dat blew my mind 💥
Love this informative approach on lower priced options to get / keep people in the hobby.
Great Stuff! 👍
Fusion pro can not be bested, well Im not aware of anything dat can......not jus my opinion, THE Opinion 😊
I have probably half a dozen rigs with "dated" designs that will fit a Fusion. Back from when the 540 was 90% of the market.
I could make a half-hearted argument that the Pro can be bested by the 1200 SE, because for the price of the Pro you can get two SEs with money left over for a sammitch.
@@CrawlerCanyon Aliexpress is selling da pro with da program card fa £85 With free delivery , I do get where ya half hearted argument is coming from ,Mmmmm sammitchs....
Tomax and Xamot the terrible twins are at it again!
Excellent video today...
I love smooth so much. I don't think I could sacrifice smooth for power.
Thing is, the Injora is much more powerful. It feels like the motor got turbocharged. The G2 has a level of low end control so fine it's almost unusable. Then again, I own a handful of Fusion Pros and so many SEs I've lost count-- so I will definitely trade smoothness for power-- even with a weaker ESC, the SE always feels more snappy. And I'm also cheap. So there's that.
These two could allow for some blind testing with minimal assistance. I would really enjoy some experiments in that realm.
I still love my brushed setups!
Me too .tried the fusions .not my cup of tea .the G2 and it’s adjustable drag brake on the fly is a boon on mountain tracks and steep down hill runs .I love mine ..I’ll go back to fusions if they bring that feature out on them …both mine are in a box unused ..
What about the Amazon blue case vs the Aliexpress 15 buck servo? Blue case vs green case. 35kg vs 35kg
I will probably end up getting the Injora ESC + Injora motor + Ali green case. 60 bucks for "good enough for me" electronics sounds really nice
I’m still rocking my 1080 g1 on my scx10 honcho with the 35t injora and love the combo on the rig
morning gents
😊
Huzzah for science!
Injora esc looks promising, I will be watching for the release and price of it. Injora working on making a brushed set up not only affordable but performing close to brushless. Hats off to Injora!
Im just here for Xamont and Tomax in the cobra bodies hahaha
Every time ya see a spark on a brushed motor is da death of a brush 😆 🤣 😂
Welcome to the Canyon
Would love to be able to listen to this as a podcast if you're able/have an RSS feed?
Heyyy . What about a rhino or any AM32 cheapo esc on those reedy motor ?
If an AM32 can run a brushed motor, I've never seen anyone do it. If you've got an AM32-based ESC of any kind, you can get a decent drone motor for $20 or less, eliminating the need for brushed altogether.
@@CrawlerCanyon I agree but you can run a brush motor easily. We do it on 1/24 and 1/18 scale
The twin brother testing setup is pure genius!
I'm confused. You kept referencing FOC, but that's only a brushless control method. The 1080 doesn't have it...
Too long driving Fusions, I guess. My brain sees Hobbywing and just thinks, "Yeah. FOC."
🤩👍 I'm a brushed guy, too😅 this injora ESC will be in my brushed HPI wheely king based megatruck as soon as it will be available 🥳
Can inj140 run 4s?
AFAIK, the Injora 140 is 2-3S. We definitely need more 4S brushed options.

I wonder if there's a way to work up a toolless motor change for a stealth xf assuming you already have the motor mounted on the plates already.
It could honestly probably be done. I mean, it would require a bit of machining, but someone like STRC or the like could absolutely do it-- the front two pieces on the XF would need to be aluminum, with the top half that holds in the motor plate hinged on one side, then just make a quick-release lever (like for a bicycle seatpost) on the other, and you could have a motor out in seconds. We'll never see it, but it would be neat.
