Holy crap man. It kills me that I can only like this once. Thank you for making this video. I just took care of mine in 15 minutes. I know there are a lot of us that run into this problem. I hope all of them in the future are able to find your video before pulling out the intake and throttle body. A shop wanted to charge me $500+ to do this.

Thanks for this Felix! Today, while taking my wife to her doctor's appointment in her G35x this sensor failed as we were coming off the interstate. I mean the car just quit. I thank God it didn't happen while we were at 70+ mph in multiple lanes of traffic. Got it home, and found out it was this sensor. The car is just 300 miles short of 100,000, and this is the first real problem we've had out of it.
That's what happened to me except I was going like 85. Luckily it came back and I was able to get over before it completely shut down. I'm still not sure if it was this or a battery cable.
Followed your directions and fixed my bank 2 sensor problem. Way easier than removing the air intake. Couldn't see a thing, all by feel, it worked out just fine. Thanks.
@@bobbyheenan4061 Actually it was easy because the sensor fits into the side of the block. You put the bolt into the sensor attachment hole and then just move the sensor around until the bolt lines up and can be threaded in. it is all by feel, but it wasn't hard. I changed the other side first so I could get a "feel" for what I was doing. It gave me the confidence to do the "blind" side. Good luck.

Hey mate ! Thanks for putting this out there. I am taking my 2007 G35x in for service tomorrow and it has a camshaft sensor issue, so I will have some solid knowledge going in. All I need is a 10mm socket once I confirm the error codes. Awesome!
So the g35 has 3 sensors? I have a p0335 code but it looks like it's the one at the bottom of the engine near the transmission. Would these two green connector sensors throw a different code?
I had P0340 code on my 07 fx35. On day 2, engine started knocking when going over 30mph. Sensor got replaced and code has gone away but knocking is still there during acceleration with engine fully warmed up. New oil & filter were changed out but that didn’t help so i wonder if i have to replace all 3 sensors even though i am not getting codes for the other 2 banks

Hey I got a question I did change bank 2 but when I started the car it still popped up even tho I just put in a new one and when I put the obd 2 scanner to delete the code it shut down my car I came to the conclusion that there’s a short somewhere
My 03’ Infiniti G35 starts but won’t stay on. It’s not the fuel pump because we got a new one and a new pressure regulator for it, it’s not a fuse because we checked the fuses can it possibly be the camshaft ?
My 2004 G35 has check engine light on and code P0303. Every 25 miles the VDC off, and Slip lights come on with poor idle. The video makes replacing the cam position sensors look simple. How do I know which to replace?
Is there more then one spot there is those sensor? On other videos they show bank 1 and bank 2 there is camshaft sensors. I am getting a g35 and the engine light says camshaft sensor.
I have an 04 g35 giving me a cel, limp mode vdc and slip light as well. Replaced the TB because that was the code it was showing for and it didn’t fix it. Hopefully this works

Hey man, I was driving around with a bad camshaft sensor for about a month. Finally got around to swapping both camshaft sensors but my car is still struggling to start. Should I replace the crankshaft sensor?
Thank you so much. The only problem I had was that your gloves matched the engine and it was hard for me to tell the diff, but I’m old. Lolol. How often would you recommend replacing a chain timing belt in the infinity? 😀
your vid is extremely helpful. I"m working on sensor bank1 and the darn thing wont come out. I'm going to try again with your wiggle technique. Also for my 2007 g35 the sensor cost $165 direct from nissan/infinite. So I'm a bit skeptical of the $12-35 ones.
How do I know if this sensor needs to be replaced? My vdc off light, slip and cel is on.. ive read on different forums that it’s definitely this sensor. Any advice? Thank you 😊
First thing to do is take it to an autozone or O’Reilly and have them check why the check engine light is in. They will tell you which sensor you will need to replace
It’s so weird because I had it checked this morning and codes weren’t popping up even with the cel on! But I’ve checked it previously and it says camshaft sensor, but it’s P0335, not 345. Would this still be the same bank? (Not sure what banks are LOL, trying to learn here 😂) but I went ahead and ordered the part you have in the description, hopefully I can replace it tonight.
@@asaelee Did you replace yours? I just got a p0335 code on my g35 but I think it's the 3rd sensor near the transmission that has to be replaced. Apparently we have 3 sensors. The two shown in this video and a 3rd on the bottom of the engine. From what I can tell a p0335 is the bottom sensor.
This cars are super fun to drive. They usually have oil leaks and suffer from this sensors I replace in the video. I say if it turns on , drives good and no engine codes you should buy it. Make sure you get it in a good price tho.

Thank you so much. The only problem I had was that your gloves matched the engine and it was hard for me to tell the diff, but I’m old. Lolol. How often would you recommend replacing a chain timing belt in the infinity? 😀
Bro you saved my life !
Awesome vid. Had mine done in 20 minutes, 2005 G35 sedan, base auto (hot engine). Love the vid, thanks!!!
I am happy to help 😊
His way is the EASIEST way
Thanks!
Are both sensor the same? I have to replace my first sensor and was gonna use the link to order one.
your vid is extremely helpful. I"m working on sensor bank1 and the darn thing wont come out. I'm going to try again with your wiggle technique. Also for my 2007 g35 the sensor cost $165 direct from nissan/infinite. So I'm a bit skeptical of the $12-35 ones.
Not sure what I’m doing wrong but I can’t get bank1 out to save my life.
Just bought it gonna replace ASAP good price too
Good luck ^_^
THANKS SO MUCH... YOU'RE A LIFE SAVOR.
Happy to help 😊
I did, but it wasn’t the right one. I needed my crankshaft sensor (the one close to the tranny) to be replaced. So I did & she’s good 😊
Code P0340 just came on my G35 so I’m guessing it’s sensor 1 for me… Thanks for this video!
Should I buy a g35 with 130k miles if so what should I look like for problems and stuff
This cars are super fun to drive. They usually have oil leaks and suffer from this sensors I replace in the video. I say if it turns on , drives good and no engine codes you should buy it. Make sure you get it in a good price tho.
Fix it Felix 4500?
I think below $3500 should be ok
Fix it Felix so I shouldn’t if he’s not going lower
I just replaced the crankshaft sensor for this exact car yesterday
I have the vdc and slip lights and sometimes BRAKE. But not check engine..
So the first step is remove the hood?
