    Thanks for this Felix! Today, while taking my wife to her doctor's appointment in her G35x this sensor failed as we were coming off the interstate. I mean the car just quit. I thank God it didn't happen while we were at 70+ mph in multiple lanes of traffic. Got it home, and found out it was this sensor. The car is just 300 miles short of 100,000, and this is the first real problem we've had out of it.

      That's what happened to me except I was going like 85. Luckily it came back and I was able to get over before it completely shut down. I'm still not sure if it was this or a battery cable.

    Followed your directions and fixed my bank 2 sensor problem. Way easier than removing the air intake. Couldn't see a thing, all by feel, it worked out just fine. Thanks.

      How hard was it putting the bolt back in without seeing it?

    • @edlincul6773
      @edlincul6773 2 года назад +2

      @@bobbyheenan4061 Actually it was easy because the sensor fits into the side of the block. You put the bolt into the sensor attachment hole and then just move the sensor around until the bolt lines up and can be threaded in. it is all by feel, but it wasn't hard. I changed the other side first so I could get a "feel" for what I was doing. It gave me the confidence to do the "blind" side. Good luck.

      @bobbyheenan4061 2 года назад +1

      @@edlincul6773 Got it! Appreciate the tip! I was worried about dropping the bolt, but that sounds like the way to do it. Should have my sensors in a day or 2 so we'll see how it goes!

      @@edlincul6773 Thanks again. Swapped out both cam sensors and the driver side was a piece of cake doing it your way...I used a 10mm wrench instead of a ratchet too. The passenger side was a bitch with that wire harness in the way, but I got the bolt back in eventually. Patience was key. Both sensors took me about 45 min. Thanks again!

Scraped my hands up but it’s changed so far no check engine light! Thanks for the video it helped a lot! I love g35s. I traded my 350z for a Infiniti so I could have a all year round car. Too bad they're aweful for so many failed parts lol. Out of my 300zx, 350z and now my g35, the g35 has everything the car can have wrong, wrong. Both door actuators went, both window motors, my mirror motor, my gas gauge, and now both crank and cam sensor. It's only got 70 thousand miles on it. I really wish I wasn't so attached to the body style or exhaust of them, or I would get another 350. Just finished changing the window motors yesterday, going to do the sensors now. Thanks for this video! I wouldnt have known you could get to them from the side.

      The windows and door locks have a bad wire connection , coming from the body driver side to the door , i tied a string to the wires and pulled it tight to the door bracket . As a easy fix . I can not access the wires . The engine ground are bad too . Had to clean those and install extras. It shorts out the coils other wize , all 6 .
      Now its the " clock spring " in the steering wheel . Nissan is now co-owned by renault ,and crap .

      The check engine came on a few days ago not the other 2 and I didn’t feel anything different with the car. I got it scanned at auto zone and they said it was bank 2 so I just replaced it and was hoping the light would go off but it didn’t. Car starts fine and idles fine. Do I just need to reset the CEL?

    • @FixitFelix529
      @FixitFelix529  5 лет назад

      Yes. Just reset CEL or just disconnect the battery for like 10 to 20 min

    Hey man, I was driving around with a bad camshaft sensor for about a month. Finally got around to swapping both camshaft sensors but my car is still struggling to start. Should I replace the crankshaft sensor?

    Thank you so much. The only problem I had was that your gloves matched the engine and it was hard for me to tell the diff, but I’m old. Lolol. How often would you recommend replacing a chain timing belt in the infinity? 😀

    your vid is extremely helpful. I"m working on sensor bank1 and the darn thing wont come out. I'm going to try again with your wiggle technique. Also for my 2007 g35 the sensor cost $165 direct from nissan/infinite. So I'm a bit skeptical of the $12-35 ones.

    How do I know if this sensor needs to be replaced? My vdc off light, slip and cel is on.. ive read on different forums that it’s definitely this sensor. Any advice? Thank you 😊

    • @FixitFelix529
      @FixitFelix529  3 года назад

      First thing to do is take it to an autozone or O’Reilly and have them check why the check engine light is in. They will tell you which sensor you will need to replace

    • @asaelee
      @asaelee 3 года назад

      It’s so weird because I had it checked this morning and codes weren’t popping up even with the cel on! But I’ve checked it previously and it says camshaft sensor, but it’s P0335, not 345. Would this still be the same bank? (Not sure what banks are LOL, trying to learn here 😂) but I went ahead and ordered the part you have in the description, hopefully I can replace it tonight.

      @@asaelee Did you replace yours? I just got a p0335 code on my g35 but I think it's the 3rd sensor near the transmission that has to be replaced. Apparently we have 3 sensors. The two shown in this video and a 3rd on the bottom of the engine. From what I can tell a p0335 is the bottom sensor.

    • @asaelee

      I did, but it wasn’t the right one. I needed my crankshaft sensor (the one close to the tranny) to be replaced. So I did & she’s good 😊

      This cars are super fun to drive. They usually have oil leaks and suffer from this sensors I replace in the video. I say if it turns on , drives good and no engine codes you should buy it. Make sure you get it in a good price tho.
