    Dear viewers, followers,
    I read all the criticisms and comments from you, and I also take them into consideration. It is obvious that it is not even possible for a person to master all languages, so there will be mistakes. I will pay attention to these in every new video. Think of this place as a language school where we will all learn together. Everyone will present the beauties, differences and mysteries of their own language. In this way, better results will emerge.

    Pronounciation differences could be potentially added, because many times the only difference betweenslavic languages come from transcribing eastern slavic languages in a different way than western are written
    For example "y" like in yellow is written in english as y, that is why it is transcribed like that in last years, while most of south and west slavs spell it as "j", so eastern+bulgarian Aziya=serbo-croatian, macedonian, slovenian and baltic Azija
    The same sound is sometimes written in Polish and Czech/Slovak as "i" but in different situations, so Azja and Azia are pronounced the same
    Also Asia would be pronounced very differently by Italian and English person
    (other differences are for example
    ch(ч)=č/🇵🇱cz
    sh(ш=š/🇵🇱sz
    zh(ж)=ž/🇵🇱ż
    ts(ц)=c
    Russian e(e)=je
    i(ы)=Polish and Old Czechoslovak y
    kh(х)=western slavic ch/south h)

      Oceania is the collective name for a vast collection of islands and atolls in the central and western parts of the Pacific Ocean. The boundaries of Oceania are arbitrary. The western border is considered to be the island of New Guinea, the eastern border is Easter Island. As a rule, Oceania does not include Australia, as well as the islands and archipelagos of Southeast Asia, the Far East and North America.

    • @greasher926
      @greasher926 Месяц назад +1

      No it is yevropa, as in yellow not jello. I understand in other languages j makes y sound. But if you are going to transliterate into English then yevropa is the correct way. However 90% of the time in Russian e = ye, so they shorten it to just e when transliterating so as to not make an eye sore.

    • @hohoryashka228
      @hohoryashka228 Месяц назад +3

      @@greasher926 that system is awful just because there is [ɨ] sound in russian and belarussian and [ɪ] sound in ukrainian that have been traditionally transliterated as ⟨y⟩, so it's important to remain difference between these two sounds. Like, belarussian and ukrainian already have great latin-based alphabets - łacinka and Jireček's abecadlo, so there's no need to create something new and horrible like english-based transliteration. Come on, it can't even adequately transliterate the difference between /CʲV/ and /CʲjV~CjV/ whereas it's very important in russian (лёт - flight, льёт - it pours / съёмка - photo shoot, сёмка - sunflower seed or hypocorism for name Semen) . Personally, i think the best way of tranliterating Russian to latin is something based on Lithuanian orthography, since it's pretty close in phonology.

    • @greasher926
      @greasher926 Месяц назад

      @@hohoryashka228 that is my biggest pet peeve, «ы» should be transliterated as “i” specifically the short “i” vowel, it is the closest equivalent, using y just makes foreigners brains break, just look at the debacle of the forced spelling change of Kyiv. It should instead have been Kiyiev (Ki-yiev). Also listening to news reporters trying to pronounce other Ukrainian cities just shows how awful the official transliterations are.
      Kherson should just be Herson. Kharkiv should be Harkiev. Zaporizhzhia should be Zaporiejjia, Mykolaiv should be Mikolayiev. These spellings are easier for English speakers to read and they come closer to the actual pronunciation than the way they butcher the official transliteration. Perhaps the word im actually looking for is anglicization, but that’s kind of what has to be done in that scenario.
