Colors of Languages
Dear viewers, followers,
I read all the criticisms and comments from you, and I also take them into consideration. It is obvious that it is not even possible for a person to master all languages, so there will be mistakes. I will pay attention to these in every new video.
Think of this place as a language school where we will all learn together. Everyone will present the beauties, differences and mysteries of their own language. In this way, better results will emerge.
The map is drawn by me. I use a certain template when mapping. First, I present the Germanic, Romance and Slavic languages in that order. Then I show the remaining European countries. When coloring, I pay attention to the origin of the word. However, in order to reveal the differences, I do not color all the words that come from the same root the same color. But I try to color them in different shades of the same color.
Write all your criticisms, good or bad, in the comments.

Shouldnt the ukrainian word for rose be coloured the same as greek and romanian , it is directly descended from the greek word?
There are lot of mistakes for Armenian termins. In Armenian iris is hirik (հիրիկ), tulip is vardakakach (վարդակակաչ), lavender is nardos (նարդոս), carnation is mekhak (մեխակ), lilac is yeghrevani (եղրևանի), jasmine is hasmik (հասմիկ), orchid is kholordz (խոլորձ). In addition, the names for daisy and chamomile are mixed up: in Armenian they are margartatsaghik (մարգարտածաղիկ) and yeritsuk (երիցուկ), respectively.
1:20 Estonia is Nefriit not Jade.
Лал как обозначение шпинели было и в руссском, сейчас это слово считается устаревшим, но Пушкин использовал его в своей поэзии.
8:07 The correct Russian is actually Marganets (Марганец), not Manganets
In Kurdisch (Kurmancî ) Aqua : Av Ocean : Deryaya mezin, Okyanûs Sea: Zîwra, zerya, derya Glacier : çîyaqeşa, sîpan Groundwater :Ava bin erdê Sea: Deryaçe, gol River: Çem Waterfall: sîlav, sîpel, kevana avê
Azerbaijan is not a European country
Cheetah should be Gatópardos in Greek, I never heard of "Gefardos". Tiger should be tigris (in the nominative case) or tígres if you prefer more archaic spelling(/transliteration).
Space in Russian also means пространство, in Slovak it's probably "priestor".
In Serbia we don’t say Lednik. We say Glečer. Or at least I’ve never heard of lednik.
georgian language is alien,s language
In Hungarian üstök means “forelock”. It’s the piece of hair on a horse’s forehead that hangs down between their ears, separate from their mane. It can also refer to a man’s long hair. So üstökös literally means “the one with a forelock.” There was also an attempt to create a Hungarian word for galaxy (which means milky way in Greek): csillagváros which literally means “star city”. It’s really cute but it didn’t catch on. I saw some documentaries form the 1960’s where they used it tho.
In Ukrainian gvozdyka, not gvozdika
Лілія- лілея , ірис - півники. ромашки - невісту́льки,
0:44 The word Cheetah 🐆 is Leopard, Gatopard in Albanian 🇦🇱 not Geopardi. 2:44 Xhaguar, Pantera, instead of Jaguar. I love your videos. ❤
In the UK, 'Holland' and 'Dutch' are more widely used than 'Netherlands' and 'Netherlander'. Many British people know that the Dutch prefer the latter usage be used, but this seems to make little difference. 'The Low Countries' is also occasionally used, but it is something of an archaism.
Great video! Albanian 🇦🇱 language stands out as a unique language among others but is still in the indo- European family. Very beautiful and ancient language similar with Latin and Messapic (Illyrian), ancient languages.
Thanks a lot..
I live in the Netherlands (I'm an immigrant). I always thought that Natrium and Sodium are DIFFERENT ELEMENTS 😂 I thought that Natrium (salt) is also Natrium in English😳
The Roman Empire still lives.
Халтурный ролик, разве так сложно сейчас в интернете найти носителей каждого языка и проконсультироваться?
If I'm not mistaken daisy is "margaritka" in Russian. And "romashka" is chamomile. Fun fact. In Azerbaijani chamomile is "çobanyastığı", literally "shepherd's pillow")
In kurdish we say aw like french
Iris in Serbian is Perunika
For Hellas its Gatopardos. Not Gefardos. Thats gibberish, how did you come up with this? Γατόπαρδος.
In Kazakh, cheetah is qabılan.
uk, yurkey and ierland: cheetah, cita, siota lietlery the rest of the europe:: GGEEEEEPPPPPAAAARRRRDDDD
Why is UK or Britain often classed as a whole in these types of videos instead of the separate country's they are made up of
в Україні маргаритки
Fe in polish can be say Ferryt, not only Żelazo
I really don't get how you categorize the words, pronunciation? By root? Both?
0:15 LΕΟΝ comes from ΛΕΩΝ...(Liontari in folk language), Aslanidis made good patsá and Aslanis wasn't a lion😄
Not meant as a criticism of the video I'm really glad Irish is being included, and I really don't expect anyone to just know this about Irish of all languages, but something I noticed about the Irish names - a lot of these need a definite article in front of them. "An Fhrainc" for example. There's 2 reasons for this: 1. In Irish, nouns in a vacuum don't take a séimhiú (having a "h" after their first consonant) without a definite article. Clock in Irish is "clog", while the clock is "an chlog". 2. You just don't get certain country names without an article before them. Going back to France, saying something like "Frainc" just sounds really weird. It would like being in the Hague and calling it "Hague" if that makes sense.
During WWII in the Czech Republic "Ahoj" meant Adolfa Hitlera oběsíme jistě - We will certainly hang Adolf Hitler.
4:06 "Lilac" is "Lyulyak" in Bulgarian.
Ukrainian: Country: Hungary (Ugorschina, BUT you also can use Madyarschina if it's sound better for you) Nation: Hungarians (Ugortsi but you also can use Madyari)
How about the word for Geometry? I would like to know the languages that use word other than "Geometry".
При всій повазі до автора- Туреччина не є європейською країною.Тому і мова не є європейською.В Україні - лілея,а не лілія.
Was bringt es wenn jeder jeden versaut
Does your language have this? Month and the Moon are the same words in Czech and Slovak: Měsíc and Mesiac But the Moon is "Měsíc/Mesiac", and "month" is "měsíc/mesiac" - the only differences are in the M (if it is a capital M or not)
Yes, in Hungarian it’s Hold and hónap (lit fused together from holdnap - moon day, a full cycle of the moon). And nap means both sun and day, same spelling.
Дякую за відео. Бажаю успіхів ❤
You are very welcome.
In Spanish we say cascada or catarata depending on the size, the later the biigger.
Bu video neyi anlatıyor lütfen birisi Türkçe açıklasın
İran avrupa dili seni aptal Türkiye ve Azerbaycan değil 😂

Hungarian 'folyó' is possibly related with Finnish and Estonian 'joki' and 'jogi'. ly and j sound is exactly the same in Hungarian. The common root is possibly the same jo/lyó in the 3 languages
Hungarian 'tenger' has Turkic origin but it is from Old Turkic
the colors are random or what?
0:18 Исландия такая: похуй, назовём Германию "писькаленд"
Cheetah in Greek is “Gatopardos” not “Gefardos”
