I attempted my first double black a few months ago and I ended up walking half of it but the lower part of it was really fun. Mind you I’m only 12 and I went by myself.

Here in New Zealand of course we're heading into winter so weather doesn't always play nice, but most bike parks including my local are open year round which is pretty sweet . I definitely plan to visit Whistler at least once in the future though, the one and only! 🤘🥝🤘

Excellent edit! 3 years ago we were there for 7 days and it rained for the first 3 days, then the sun came out, then it was freaking amazing!! The last 2 years have been just dry and sketchy . . . hoping this year will be somewhere in between.

Josh lost his glove upon impact with the tree. I lost my shoes when I was hit by a car walking across the street. It's a physics thing.

I know exactly what you mean by sometimes “not having it”. There are some small jumps and drops at my local trails that I used to do without thinking, and now I find myself overthinking them and not doing them. I just hope I can just get over it soon and just get back to doing them.

Eric I’m 59 and after watching most of your stuff I want to give it try. Did have a Trek Procaliber 9.6 then. Road Road, now on a Giant Gravel Bike but seriously want a Forbidden Druid XT but living in Thailand that might not be possible as we tend to get old models of most bikes here

Not to worry bro. We all have days where we are not feeling quite right. I had a problem last week where even though I have ridden drops much bigger and harder I didn't want to do the drop. IL do it next time

What's the elevation at Whistler? I live in CO and our bike parks don't open till mid-June and then it's still just the lower runs. In fact, we're still getting buckets of snow! Aspen is reopening it's lifts for Memorial weekend. Crazy stuff.
the village is at 670m or 2200ft. Which is relatively low. The 3 other sections of the bike park won't open till later (creekside, garbonzo, top of the world)
