I gotta say, seeing Remi help out with that step up, and his kindness makes me like both of you even more and really shows what I hope is the future of riding videos. Terrific work!
Remy is probably one of the biggest name in mtb that you can just approach and say hi and he’ll talk to you like you’re talking to your buddy. I work in retail (London drugs) in squamish and ride bikes too. In and out of the trails, I talked to Remy and he’s always humble and friendly. Last year, I told him about my wrist problem while riding and he told me that it could be just my grips and hand position. He asked me to drop by his place (just below the trail head) and he’ll give me a set of ergon grips to try on. Fast forward today, no more pain, I gave the grips to one of my buddy’s who suffer from the same thing and fixed that as well. I’m on my new set of ergon and looking forward to fix my saddle pain issues (looking for an ergon saddle) to be in stock. Brands like Ergon definitely hits the jackpot when they choose rider like Remy to represent their products. It’s so easy to recommend and trust their products. 🤙
If there was a BCPOV crypto currency right now would be a good time to invest.📈📈📈 That was an impressive display of story telling. I'm kind of amazed how you were able to transition to each topic so smoothly.
I genuinely appreciate your ride content. As a 40+ year old, fairly new rider, its great to see people ride and have average human responses to some features. It helps keep me positive about my ability to improve as a ride more and gradually attempt more challenging trails and features. Keep up the great content and have a fantastic (and safe) riding season!
Yep - I enjoy watching videos of pros and others whose skills are well beyond my own. But I also appreciate content like this...very relatable and authentic, but also highly engaging and fun to watch. I started riding when I was about 38, and I'll turn 50 later this year. I know that fear-reaction too well, and I know how it feels to overcome it as well. What may come across to others as a small victory can feel huge, so part of the fun is getting stoked for others when they have their own victories!
42 yr old just starting myself. Nice to know I'm not the only 40 yr old starting this. Though I did ride a tiny bit of bmx as a teen, that's decades ago
You are the best mtb youtuber when it comes to telling your emotions in a totally compelling way. Like Phil said, your storytelling is what sets you apart from the others right now. Superb work!
I don't know what it is about you, Eric, but when you make an achievement like conquering a step-up, I have a physical reaction. I get goose-bumps. I know you've had a tough mental battle with certain features and to see you conquer them really resonates with me. Also, Remy.. what a BOSS!
Most wholesome mountain biking vid of the season! Remi is awesome, Yuka is awesome, Eric, you're awesome! It must be a fun to have everyone recognize you as you ride down. Thanks for sharing and have a good ride this year!
I've spent so many hours with my son watching this channel, Yuka's, and Remy's it's awesome to see you all ride together. Now whenever I miss my son, I'll rewatch them. (He moved to Whistler last year, little traitor) and sorry gents, Yuka is my fave 😍
I love watching your channel and how you have progressed. What a fantastic opportunity to ride with Phil and Remy. Getting tips from those fellas will definitely up your game. Looking forward to another great season of content. 🇨🇦👍
Killer collab and storytelling. Eric I love your honesty about trail conditions and difficulty, skill level, confidence, fear mgmt... so seeing you ride with Remy was incredible. His cool as a cucumber approach to extreme features is enviable to say the least. So cool to see you switch off the amygdala and stick that step up. Cheers!!
Eric and Yuka, man you guys make great content, and it’s so relatable. If there was ever a person to trust in following off that step up/down its Remy, or Phil! I was cheerin for you out loud watching this vid. Keep up the amazing content man.
The more I watch Remy, especially the way he interacts with people if different skill levels, it really makes me appreciate just how good a rider he truly is. He can scale back for different skill levels and explain clearly what it takes to do a feature, that is a skill that is not always present in all great riders and really makes him stand out.
So cool seeing you ride with other famous riders like Nick, Phil and Remy. Just be a little cautious about not getting overly exposed or tired about increased fan recognition👍
Wow, the story telling! It's like I just got drawn in and couldn't turn it off until the end, even if I thought I wanted to. That's a rare achievement on youtube.
I crashed on Crank it Up the exact same way as Yuka on opening day. And on Schleyer too on the off camber landing under the lift. Makes me feel so much better to see the exact same video from a superstar. Thanks for that ! Wish I'd seen you there. You guys are the best !
What a great video. As a rider that lacks confidence to do things like you do it is encouraging to see a rider of your skill level struggle at times. I am no where near as talented as you but it sure does help when I see others have the same issues. The fan interactions were really cool and you riding with Remy was really awesome. Keep up the great content!
That mental block is a very real thing. After doing a feature that I had been looking at for years for the 1st time I came back to it and couldn't do it. But the next time I did it. It really is frustrating how something can get into your head. But I've been seeing more videos that show great ways to deal with this which is so awesome. Great video and Remy is awesome
Ha! I'm pretty much done with Whistler videos by now... except yours. You always have such a very cool perspective and top-notch filming. No matter what you do, it's always very engaging.
first time ever at whistler I saw Brandon Semenuk sitting on his bike just off the lift line. I approached him to say hey, and ill tell you, he was not near as friendly as any of you guys! cool, but man props to you guys for the content and fan support!
Another stellar video, my man! I can imagine how many people would recognise you and Yuka out on the trails; you both make killer content. Stoked to see you ride with Remy! Love that guy's channel too.
I am going to spend this entire summer secluded studying for a state exam... and now all i want to do is a train down any bikepark trail! Goooood whismas video Eric!
I have been following you for many years and i got a bit chocked up watching this video. Not sure what it was - maybe just my mood to day or that you and Yuka have come such a long way! I hope some day i get to visit or live in that area for an extended period as it has all ways been a dream riding over there! Keep at it and fist bump from Norway :)
And there is still snow in the summer........still, love the opening day content review, Eric. Thanks for a great share! Also love that you got to ride with some of the other greater YTers. The spills suck, but, you still managed to share some great runs. Wish there was more footage of the bike train!! Awesome seeing so many shredding down at once!
i think remy doesn't understand gravity! lol. it's funny: watching the video of you trying the step up made me nervous, but when you were following remy, it didn't even seem like a big deal. i guess you manage to do a great job of capturing the feeling with the camera.
So Funny.... Thank you for the Videos. These muddy conditions is the norm in the UK for most of the year. I'm so envious of countries with more dry periods.
Celeb status Erick! You've got a big fan base. I think Remy follows you too. Nice job conquering the step up. It seemed like everyone I follow was there so this was cool to watch. Wish I was there. Bob T
Bike parks are so good for spoting big names, i remeber in 2019 me and my brother went to bike park wales (in the uk) and i just so happened it was during the time Gregg Minnaar was doing his size matter tour and he turned up to do a few laps and we ended up chatting to him at the trail head, got some pictures and then did a train with him with a bunch of other people who took the same uplift the guy was so humble and down to earth but also so fast and i don't even think he was trying.
I completely understand being in your head like your step up thing. There are features in my area that for whatever reason I just can't bring myself to do, there not even that gnarly, lol.
Thanks for having me! Nice on Fade to Black!
Legend!
Nice job on pretty much everything! 😂
I gotta say, seeing Remi help out with that step up, and his kindness makes me like both of you even more and really shows what I hope is the future of riding videos. Terrific work!
"yeah buddy!"
That whip on the moonbooter 😮
Awesome getting some laps in with you! Nice job on Fade To Black too!
When are we getting the opening day 2022 video?
Super fun to ride with you guys 🙂 can’t wait for your whismas video!
I LOVE the noises Yooka makes when she crashes, It makes me laugh because I do the same stuff hahaha.
Hahahahaha I was thinking exactly the same 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Makes me laugh too 🙂 luckily she’s mostly un injured after!
Yeah Yuka going full Japanese when she crashed made me lol.
Remy is probably one of the biggest name in mtb that you can just approach and say hi and he’ll talk to you like you’re talking to your buddy.

Which grips did you pick up?

Your ability to tell a story in your videos is incredible. Really high quality entertainment.
If there was a BCPOV crypto currency right now would be a good time to invest.📈📈📈 That was an impressive display of story telling. I'm kind of amazed how you were able to transition to each topic so smoothly.
Haha, thanks Phil, i definitely spend a bunch of time on the script!
It was definitely worth it 👌👌 Music choice always on point as well
reminds me of some tale that someone is telling with the music
Was thinking of the bear market now when bcpov mentioned the bear lol
Excatly Phil! Eric has the best story telling indeed.
I genuinely appreciate your ride content. As a 40+ year old, fairly new rider, its great to see people ride and have average human responses to some features. Started personally slightly younger but 100% same.
42 yr old just starting myself. Nice to know I'm not the only 40 yr old starting this. Though I did ride a tiny bit of bmx as a teen, that's decades ago
Watching you and remy ride together is so sick! I love seeing that although you’re on different skill levels you guys ride together like old buddies
You are the best mtb youtuber when it comes to telling your emotions in a totally compelling way. Like Phil said, your storytelling is what sets you apart from the others right now. Superb work!
Phil has got to be some kind of alien! I love all of your channels and content. Thank you all.
Wow - Phil, Remy and you two all on the same day on the same trails! 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Makes me smile seeing everyone else so stoked to ride with you
Great to have so many youtubers in this one. Thanks for letting us come along for the ride!
I love how Remy's helmet cam starts to look like a drone shot when he is in the air.
I don't know what it is about you, Eric, but when you make an achievement like conquering a step-up, I have a physical reaction. I get goose-bumps. I know you've had a tough mental battle with certain features and to see you conquer them really resonates with me.
Also, Remy.. what a BOSS!
I love that people are saying hi and recognizing you guys. You inspire different people for many reasons and we appreciate it. Thank you.
Most wholesome mountain biking vid of the season! Remi is awesome, Yuka is awesome, Eric, you're awesome! It must be a fun to have everyone recognize you as you ride down. Thanks for sharing and have a good ride this year!
Always love your videos and watching you and Yuka ride! Thank you for continuing riding and sharing your experiences with us!
I've spent so many hours with my son watching this channel, Yuka's, and Remy's it's awesome to see you all ride together. Now whenever I miss my son, I'll rewatch them. (He moved to Whistler last year, little traitor) and sorry gents, Yuka is my fave 😍
Why I love Remi and his videos. He has insane talent, but is always humble. Same with Steve, both absolute legends and seem like good people
I love watching your channel and how you have progressed. What a fantastic opportunity to ride with Phil and Remy. Getting tips from those fellas will definitely up your game. Looking forward to another great season of content. 🇨🇦👍
What an unbelievable video of community and confidence. That's how we progress
you gave me a big smile with this viedo, so much good energy
been waiting for this vid every day since opening day, love you man!

You are living a dream my guy, congratulations, your hard work is paying off big time
Phil had got to be one of the best riders on RUclips
Eric and Yuka, man you guys make great content, and it’s so relatable. If there was ever a person to trust in following off that step up/down its Remy, or Phil! I was cheerin for you out loud watching this vid. Keep up the amazing content man.
8:24 was the kaz? Damn I could recognise that custom trek anywhere
Remy is just such a sick rider. Everything looks huge and effortless.
The more I watch Remy, especially the way he interacts with people if different skill levels, it really makes me appreciate just how good a rider he truly is. He can scale back for different skill levels and explain clearly what it takes to do a feature, that is a skill that is not always present in all great riders and really makes him stand out.
We love phil
What a nice video! Eric is master in story telling! Nice to see that are becoming celebrities, you and Yuka deserve it :)
Thanks for keeping it real, your content feels more human and the struggles we face when on the trails 🤘🏻
Great upload, Eric. How fun to have Remi tow you in on Fade to Black. He is such a good human being and as stoked as you were when you stomped it.
Wow that girl that hollered at Yuka is my spirit animal!
YAAAA VAN GIRL YUKA!!!!
8:26 This has got to be one of my favorite moments with you two. Random kid yelling like an anime character out to Yuka 😆
People in BC always say it is always warm and sunny .... thanks for showing the reality to the world
One of my favorite channels! Great to follow along while you progress! Great storytelling as always!
Had a chance to meet Eric last Tuesday at Smith Creek Cycle. Thanks for making great content.

nothing is more satisfying when you break your fear with the help of a friend
Your videos always make me so incredibly happy, thanks for the motivational and amazing content!
What a great video!!! Made me smile the entire time 😀
Good video, I can relate to step-ups. I find them to be really intimidating as well. Way to keep at it and not let it beat you. Thanks for sharing.
That mental block is a very real thing. After doing a feature that I had been looking at for years for the 1st time I came back to it and couldn't do it. But the next time I did it. Remy seems like the nicest guy. He is always ready to help out
That's awesome you guys are getting love out on the trails!

Glad you cleared the jump again! Sweet videos. I really enjoying watching your content!
Phil, Remy, a train of fanboys -- what a hoot! And I think step-ups are the most stressful feature out there.
What a moment! Getting towed in by Remy, love it!
I am going to spend this entire summer secluded studying for a state exam... and now all i want to do is a train down any bikepark trail! Goooood whismas video Eric!
PRE-RIDE, RE-RIDE, FREE-RIDE, ..., Bear. That was the best thing I've heard in a week!
You are back!!

Celeb status Erick! You've got a big fan base. I think Remy follows you too. Nice job conquering the step up. It seemed like everyone I follow was there so this was cool to watch. Wish I was there. Bob T
Great video. It is cool seeing you ride with the other RUclipsrs.
Remy seems so cool, very humble with a skillset through the roof. Must have been awesome and intimidating to ride with him.
OK, that was awesome! Great video and also a big fan of Remy also!
Great video. Good stuff!! Looked like a good day despite the trail conditions.
Every place you go to is so cool.
Good for you! Your so lucky! I wish I could go someday.
Glad you guys survived! Great video.
Love your vids you have inspired me to become a mountain biker too! ❤️
That was awesome to watch Eric! Stoked to see your confidence high as the video progresses. Sometimes it just takes some stoke from your friends!

Remy being proud of Eric for doing th step up is wholesome
Just moved (back) to Whistler after 10 years, never touched the bike park last time so hoping to get in there this summer!
