Granite is so grippy in the wet, I wouldn't hesitate to trust a granite slab in the rain. It's worse when it hasn't rained in a while and the wind's blown dirt onto it.
So I’ve been watching you and your wife and your channels now for a year and a half Eric and quite obviously you’re an excellent rider. However this shout out goes to your wife Yuka as her riding skills and abilities have obviously improved greatly as evidenced by her A line video and her recent videos on your channel. One thing that’s very impressive with her riding is her low speed bike control and handling especially on decents. Many people can learn a lot from Yuka. Keep up the great contact both of you. Take care.
What a brilliant vid. Excellent quality, very nice voice over.. a LOT of very nice folk, amazing scenery & trails that will wake me in cold sweats for a month or so :P Thanks for the upload, got a new sub here. Peace from the UK.
I am not a mountain biker by any means but I can tell you, they were some real WOW moments there. Thanks for taking us along. I’ll be back at the truck.
Nice, looks like you found the trail for you with slab city. Awesome you ran into the creator, what an amazing amount of hard work. I am not into slabs but that looked like it rode well for you. I like the look of the gold trail. Thanks for the show! I would never make it through the wood features... still recovering from a sprain i got on Fromme 3 weeks ago from bailing just a little too late.

Yes and that was the second time the video was cut after a steep section. My first idea was that something happened that he does not want us to show ... but no.
Just down the road from Chicoutimi where my bike was born. Looks awesome! And we do have trees on the Ribbon, they’re just smaller and more spaced out. 😁
nice job on wolverine! when did you guys go there? i think we rode in quebec roughly the same time. i went to sentiers du moulin on 3rd september, it was raining a lot the day before, we did one trail (QMG) but it was full of deep mud and huge puddles, very slick overall, so we ended up going to st raymond instead...too bad because the trails here look rad
Yuka calls herself "sometimes a scare-dy cat." She's no scare-dy cat. That lady is a frickin lioness. I would never do any of this stuff. Getting on a bike again at my age is probably never gonna happen. Yuka is cautious. She's practical. Realistic. Accessing the risks. These are things a lioness will do in the wild. I would never equate that with fear. Or rather, if fear is involved it's just one factor in a much more complicated equation, and fear can be a useful motivator for determining more rational approaches to the fight or flight survival instinct. Next time Yuka catches herself thinking she's a scare-dy cat, perhaps she should let out a primal roar instead. Make the trail her prey.
