I loved my 1977 5 speed Cellica GT Lift back. With the hatchback window levelers. Absolutely gorgeous. One of only a couple of 5 speeds in the USA. SO FRICKING COOL.
I had a 77 silver hatchback. I had a nova 74 that needed a new transmission, so I bought it from the guy at the junkyard in Vermont where I was living. The car was very rusted but ran like a top. will never forget it. Have to get one now. they are classics. whatever, sedan or hatchback whatever comes up, I will buy on in the next few years
I’ve got a 1977 celica, I’ve had it for a year or so. It’s like my weekend car. It’s cold 🥶 very now. Where I live. Temps in the minuses -3 to -7. I’m struggling to know where the antifreeze goes. ? Any help, would appreciate it 😊. Thanks

Great video! Bought my Celixa ta22 ST a few weeks ago. A Europe spec unfortunately a lot of rust but nothing a lot of work can't fix! Great project and a awesome car!!
I had a 71 or 72 Celica ST which I bought when I finished college back in 1972. I paid $1,200 for it. I drove it 2 years then sold it for what I originally paid for it. It was a great car.
Everyone seems to know the Celica ST model, which was most prevalent, and the GT, which added a 5spd transmission and wider tires and appeared in late 1973 in the US. But nobody seems to recall the LT- a decontented ST coupe. It had a different grille, removed the woodgrain from the dashboard, and a few other things. If anybody has a reasonably decent 74 GT for sale, I want one!
@5:30 The R was also made in 1970 or the 1971 model year. I have one. It's an RA20 that had the 2L 18R engine in the ST trim. The engines in the US were 8R and 18R with 18RC for smog and 8RB for dual SU type carbs (I also have this engine setup). It's kinda odd to see a TA20 with the gas tank on the side, I thought that was for the TA21. The RA20 is very, very rare and the flat tail lights were all red.
I have a 75 Celica GT in red it's on you tube it has only 29.069 miles on it I am original owner check it out really enjoyed your video these cars are often forgotten

Excellent video
Beautiful cars❤
Bonjour super vidéo j'aimerais savoir ce que vous aviez changer au niveau moteur. Est la ligne d'échappement merci
Thank you. The brake components where changed - front callipers and master cylinder.
Damn...I love this car!!!
Good video, very informative, TX!!
Think I like the facelift more, looks mean!
Although factory air conditioning was available the air conditioning in that car is not factory.
What did these cars come with 95hp 4 cylinder engines. Pretty sad.
Unless you had the 18-R, but most of the line-up was 'meh' engine wise. That is why Toyota had the Supra.
@@Carsaddiction There were no Supras in 1971 to 1977. We were stuck with these gutless Celicas.
