This really is the 'I can't believe it's not Wolf!' of dog breeds.
You clearly have internet; google what a wolf actually looks like. He's about as convincing a wolf as a scarecrow is as a person.

I wish dogs lived longer . They become like one of your children and break your heart every time one passes away . 😢
I think everyone wishes that. But remember: To you, they're only with you for a short while. But to them, it's a lifetime.
Here's how I look at it - If they lived as long as WE do, we'd only get to have a couple of pets - but because they don't, we get to have many, each unique and precious. It helps for me. I mean, I still miss 'em like crazy, but somehow, this helps.

What a beautiful and gentle dog. Summer didn't appear to be fighting being groomed, even let his paws be handled. His coat looked so healthy when you were done with him.

I'm just surprised how calm this pup was, given that Siberian huskies are such drama queens.

@Fivemacs yep, they train the talk back howling and talking and reticence to do as they're told by egging on the howling and talking and reticence to do as they're told.
@@suep9445 We have a Husky-Lab mix and he just won't talk. No matter of any encouragement has helped. He will wake us up at 430am though.
And they usually listen 🎶 to Dire Strates, with Mark Knofler😅
It’s amazing how confident this dog is in completely unfamiliar environment.
I think he's just so social and naturally calm that a friendly human is all he needs to be 100% chill
@@nthgth My dog's trainer just calls it alpha energy. Some dogs are generally unbothered and chill in their temperament. My Malanois/Shepherd mix is this way with everything except being left alone.
I love that this dog looks so much like a wolf, but is such a softy, wants to be friends with everyone and is afraid of being alone. 🥺

I was impressed! My dog is an agouti pomsky. He looks like a mini version of this dog except he’d be off the rails screaming and crying. He’s a real “song of my people” dog.

Summer is such a gorgeous Dire Wolf. So calm and gentle, he smiled all the way. At 2:58 he looks up and tilts his head as if to say “All done?”
Dire Wolves have been extinct for 12,000 years. This is a husky. Don't get it twisted

Wolfish? lol, no. You obviously have internet access, look up what wolves actually look and act like. Everything about this dog shouts domesticated breeds. Having dogs like this stand in for wolves in tv and movies creates the same sort of warped perception of reality as 20-somethings playing highschoolers.
@@JacobNeff-oq5km My niece had a half wolf, enough so owning him was illegal but she got away with it. He was calm, but definitely was not a dog. He would never lock eyes as dogs have learned to do in the last few thousand years.

It doesn’t matter how big and tough the breed looks in the beginning, those Happy Hoodies take all the toughness out of them, and makes a Direwolf look as cute as a Chihuahua. 😂❤

We had a 'Northern Inuit' dog that the family misses so much. His double coat could shake off all the water and soap applied, lol. He was very smart, about 80 lbs and lived for 18 years. He was vocal ('talked' to communicate that wasn't just barking) and had webbed feet. Great hiker, loved canoeing and was not a confident swimmer without a dog life jacket. He learned new things throughout his life and was happiest when watching our family.
Sounds like the greatest doggo life ever. Good job!

Finn had extra skin joining his toes. It helps water dogs swim better and can provide a snowshoe effect in winter.

I was expecting this dog to be a bit more...spunky...but he was so nice and calm. Simply a beautiful, good willed ball of fluff. Fantastic groom as always.
He is in 7th year of his 10-15 year of life. Too old for this this crazy husky stuff

yah I can tell you as someone who owned a wolf, there's no way a groomer would get that far along with a real one. I hope they keep propagating this breed, really looks like a keeper and would cut down on the amount of wolf hybrids being taken on by people who shouldn't be having them

Not even a wolf. The difference between a wolf and a husky is like comparing a piranha and a gold fish.
Summer has done very well for his 1st grooming session. I have to give credit to his owners for training Summy to be very well-behaved.
That is a gorgeous and well behaved boy. His parents did a great job socializing and working with him. He deserves lots of treats and snuggles!

When I was in the Navy, and regularly doing triathlons, I was stationed in Pensacola, FL. The beach on base was absolutely gorgeous, and because it is a training base, almost never used (weirdly, young Navy Sailor students want to leave base and party a lot!). So, I would go to the beach, get just past the breaking waves, and swim back and forth along the beach line for training. We were warned about how aggressive bull sharks are.
One day, I bumped into something large, and alive. The water was only about 4-5 feet deep. I stood up and yelled in panic anticipating fighting a bull shark. The swimmer I had bumped into back-to-back also stood up and yelled in panic anticipating fighting a bull shark! We were the only two people at the beach at all (on land or in the water). We had managed to be looking in opposite directions and hit each other while both of us were swimming for exercise!!

Now I want one! What a perfect dog! I love the look of huskies and malamutes, but OMG, the singing! (I mean, I love hearing it on video, but if I lived with that all the time, I'm pretty sure it'd drive me crazy!) This breed has the "look and feel" I long for, but with a much calmer disposition!
What a well behaved pup! Also one of the dire wolves in Game of Thrones is also named Summer, Summer is Bran Stark's wolf. I do think this particular Summer is named after his fantasy counterpart ❤❤❤

I’ve heard of this breed!!It’s a breed that looks like a wolf but is tame as a dog and I didn’t know they love being social and seem to be Velcro dogs and I didn’t know this is actually a new breed too.Summer was very calm during his groom and is a good boy for that.He’s so handsome.

Yep, these were the perfect dogs to cast as film regulations in the UK forbid child actors working with actual wolves. So, a very wolf looking dog was the best option. In addition to being very wolf like in appearance, these dogs are quite easy to work with. Sophie Turner (the actress that portrayed Sansa Stark) became so attached to her Northern Inuit that she adopted it.

Your description of the Northern Inuit is spot on. However, they are NOT first time dogs, but for a dedicated and attentive owner who seeks a all around pal they are great . Goofy big cuddlebugs with a good heart! A friend of mine has a small pack and breed very carefully. Temperament and excellent physical health is the top priority ofcourse. (Valkyrie Wolfalikes, UK)

Such a beautiful dog. When i was growing up an UPSTAIRS neighbor had a 140lb Alaskan Malamute...her name was ThunderFoot..haha. Gorgeous dog and so friendly, but BIG. My neighbors apt was ALWAYS filled with dog hair and so was the upstairs landing. So much hair, but the best dog i've ever known.

What a lovely dog Summer is! He's so large and it doesn't really show until you crouch next to him to trim his back nails. He's huge in a majestic way and look at the size of that arm! (Summer's, that is! 😂) One of the bestest of the bestest boys!
Beautiful dog! I used to think my late dog Darla was a Northern Inuit Dog, but I never got a DNA test to confirm, we all just assumed that she was German Shepherd & Alaskan Malamute since she was so big

I've seen a few Husky x GSD or Malamute x GSD dogs in shelters and most of them are absolutely beautiful. Just like this one.
