Collies are such good tampered and patient dogs. I have had a rough and a smooth . Both were a lot of grooming care, but they are just so special. Not surprising that this one was not only patient, but seemingly showed gratitude for the care. Thank you for what you do for these sweet animals!
The poor girl looked so beaten down until the very last frames when you gave her a hug. That was the first time she wasn't looking down with her sad eyes. Poor thing probably never had a kind word spoken to her until now.
This dog has definitely been groomed before, she knew exactly what she was supposed to do, ie. stand up straight - and she wasn’t nervous at all; she didn’t flinch at the sound of the dryer, no trembling legs on the table, no panting, no searching for a way to get down, and no need for someone to stand next to her head and talk to her. She knows what this is about. Could be the original owners just couldn’t keep up with her anymore, couldn’t afford grooming, or passed away, etc, but she was definitely groomed regularly at some point in her life.
I'm honestly wondering if this was done as a self promotion because this dog is VERY well behaved. To tolerate however long this took, on top of being so matted and to have so much under coat... Compared to watching Girl with The Dogs, where you can see how the dog is behaving and she explains if the dog has been groomed before or the breed type has a low tolerance - I don't know if this video is genuine. Not to mention the multiple pans to their play button? You have 100k subs, that's cool - but what about the dog??? Its sus.
I have a feeling she was very farmiliar with being groomed, it had just been a long while. She was just too chill for all that was going on. I think she knew this was for her.
You are one of the best groomers that I have ever watched groom a dog. You are always patient and caring with the animals you groom. You do what is best for the animal not was is easiest for you.
Wow, thanks for those words! I'm so sorry for the late answer 🙏 yes, we are doing what is the best for the dog. That's why we are here. 🙂 thank you one more time for support! 🙏❤️
Exhausting for this sweet soul. And the groomers ! What a great job done to regain her dignity. She is a very sweet dog. Just look at the beauty that was hidden under those layers of neglect . Great job.
Thank you for understanding the rough collie double-coat needs and being so calm, patient and dedicated to this collie girl. They are such lovely, gentle dogs.👏👏👏❤
Beautifully done! Glad to see a groomer who doesn't reach for the razer every time a difficult matt shows up. Spent many an hour grooming our Beardy to prevent mats from forming. Even so, they do develop occasionally. And it takes time and patience to comb them out. Glad this gentle collie will finally have a new home. And the care she so rightfully deserves. 😊
That dog was an absolute angel to tolerate her makeover which was a very long period of painful aggressive grooming, which is what it needed to restore it's coat. God Bless this dog and may her future be better than her past 💖🐾
As an owner of a rough collie for the past 13 years and who has been grooming my dog at home by myself, they are high maintanence just like any large double coated dog. It takes 3 to 4 hours to brush, trim, and remove matting. I won't lie, I almost burst into tears when I saw the state of the matts on this girl. The discomfort she must have felt...
I grew up with collies and sheltie. Such sweet natured babies... they are a lot of up keep but the love and obedience is unmatched. This babe was a sweetheart. Thank you for taking care of her ❤
I know in the video you mentioned that most groomers go straight for the clippers and in some cases i understand why they do that...this girl youre working on was amazing sitting through that but there are alot of dogs who could not handle sitting that long and having their matta brushed through and all that tugging....im so glad you were able to save her fur but i also understand why some groomers also dont attempt it For example my dog could have never sat through that....and putting a muzzle on her and making her would have been traumatizing.
What a wonderful job you did! You are the only groomer I have ever seen brush out a coat like this to save it, thanks to her temperament for sure. I wish you had removed a good amount of length on her coat, this much coat will be very difficult for most people to maintain.
Wonderful work! It is nice to have an air purifier in the grooming salon to keep the workers safe from breathing in the dirt, dust, pollen, and dander that is released from animal fur, especially with ones that shed so much. Again great work and I wish you the best of luck!
It won't work, she's agitating the fur directly in front of her face. An area purifier is not going to help because she's getting a dose of dander, fungal spores and whatever else every time she breathes in. A *good* personal mask is needed + the area purifier. COPD is not fun, Popcorn lung is worse for those vapers out there. It usually requires a double lung transplant...
Bye my last baby girl is close to leaving this earth and we will re unite in that big dog house in the sky some day with my past one hundred seventy five rescued babies. Bye
Ideally it isn't advisable to shave double-coated dogs BUT if your dog is in as terrible condition as this collie and they aren't extremely well-behaved like this her, dematting will cause an extreme amount of stress to your pet. Sometimes you have to take vanity out of the equation and just do what your dog will allow and what's less stressful for them. 9x out of 10 you're gonna get an aggressive, fearful, antsy, unhealthy, or senior dog that just won't put up with this level of grooming.
Brushing before the bath would have saved much of the coat that was cut out. Water sets in mats. Shaving would have painlessly taken off the mats and despite what was stated, it would have grown back presuming the dog was young and in good health
Problem is if you destroy the double coat - it interfers with the dog's ability to regulate its temperature since dogs don't sweat. It isn't about vanity, it the health and well- being of the double-coated coat. A broken coat never recovers. This groomer just proved what knowledge and patience does. Most groomers shave dogs without understanding - they've worked at a pet store where shaving is done regularly for speed and profitability and then those groomers decide to do a home-based business on their own. They make more money at hours convient to them rather than an hourly rate (which could be minimum wage) at pet shop grooming hours. While this often works just fine for many breeds, too many groomers no longer groom to breed standards that often take special treatment coats like rough collies into consideration. I commend this groomer for trying to ensure the dog's coat was not broken, and taking a calm demeanor and time commitment to seeing this collie taken care of, and putting the collie's health first rather than what isceasiest fir her. I am sure she dedicated a full day, or nearly a full day for her, and later her assistant to this collie. Good on her and the owners wanting to clean her up. ❤
Wow, what a lovely girl, such a wonderful nature too. I'll bet she can walk and stand much easier now with those nails trimmed. They had to be uncomfortable for her. You were so gentle with her it was a pleasure to watch.
She's such a champ! All that noise and pushing and pulling, bathing....clipping. she must have been exhausted. Yet there she was..calm and quiet. What a wonderful dog!
Great job! My dad grew up with a Collie so he got me my first Tri-factored Sable Rough as a child. Have had Collies ever since. Due to arthritis in later years we switched from Rough Collies to Smooth Collies. Easier to groom, and more drive, but the same loyal & lovable variety of breed. Both varieties are double coated with coat length as the only difference. Collies forever! ❤️
I/ we have rough collies over 26 years . We have adopted several collies in different states and ages. Almost all animals coat can be saved. For the ones you keep in your care and family, the key is the regular grooming and not letting the coat to go too far and get matted. I never use unique tool anymore, only brushes and tools, whet I myself feel comfortable using on my own hair- plus some cat grooming brushes, which i have found very useful. These methods and positive reinforcing and a very kind approach makes all my 7 collies - as of now- starting in line to be groomed! They are super excited and cannot wait for their turn ! We all love and cherish our dogs and brush, treat them daily . Don’t get double coated dogs, if you don’t have the time, patience, or intent to care for it. As it can get out of hand and its not the dogs’ fault. Good luck to you all!
What a wonderful job. The patience of the groomer ❤. The dog was so good while getting all that done. I bet she feels a thousand times better ❤. Well done.
So many people want dogs but don't want the responsibility that comes from owning one. It's really messed up. It's common knowledge to groom your dog, it's not like a hidden part of owning a pup. It's not necessarily abuse, but it's definitely neglect.
Beautiful transformation! Thank you for helping this little lady. Also, I don't think she's a rough collie, she's much smaller than what they should be. Looks more like she might be a sheltie. A bit on the bigger size for a female.
Love seeing a groomer that knows what they are doing and takes the time to do it right. You could make 2-3 dogs with all that hair you removed. I have two Shelties and ongoing grooming comes with the territory of having that breed. I enjoy it as bonding time & keeping them happy and a healthy coat. She is a beautiful dog.
You are the most gentle, loving dog groomer. It seems to put the dogs immediately at ease into such a relaxed state. And you do a beautiful job always considering the welfare of the animal. Well done. It’s a pleasure to watch.
We had a rough male collie and had him bathed about once a month. He was literally gorgeous!! This poor girl didn’t deserve this lack of care. Collies are the sweetest animals. Totally different from other breeds. They need care and LOVE. THEY DESERVE to be taken care of.
Aaaw, what a sweetheart she is! So calm and well behaved during the entire process 😊 Amazing job, well done on bringing back her dignity after having been in an unfortunate situation for so long!
Can’t believe you didn’t use a de-matting brush instead of a slicker? Would’ve pulled that matted undercoat out in 1/3 the time. Only thing I really use on my Sheltie in shedding season. Pulls the undercoat out and leaves the top coat looking good.
I had a rough collie/GSD mix and she was gorgeous. I brushed her thoroughly every week and did a quick brush a couple of times between. She was always shedding but did love a pampering.
This dog has the same temperament demeanor as a dalmatian dog that I rescued years ago. He was dumped on the street, and when he got home, he slept in the balcony so relaxed that when I touched him, he didn't wake up. He was so stressed out in the streets that he never sleeps well. He lived 14 years and I missed him a lot. He was the best behaved dog just like this one. I think is because they are very gratefull for being found a family to love.
I had a collie growing up. she loved to be brushed, she would bring her brush to us and have us brush her while we were watching movies, football games, just hanging out with friends, etc. I miss her, she was such a nice dog and loved everyone.
This sweet dog has such a great disposition with everything she/he is going through, poor thing … I’m so happy you are doing this for this dog and it’s new owner!!❤ much love!!
Awwww! I had 2 rough collies growing up - 1 blue merle & 1 tricolour. So seeing this lovely lady, and the photo of your one, brought back some really treasured memories. I miss my boys so much 😢
Your skill, patience, and kindness are brilliant!!! This sweet collie girl certainly landed in a great place! And her temperament is amazing! I have collies -- absolutely love them!
It really is years of impacted undercoat you for not shaving except where needed, it was hard work for you and she is simply awesome and patient, for so many hours. The reason I cannot get shedders (short, med, long coat) is allergy. I can never keep a dog outside for life to deal with it. This is why i have a toy poodle (no allergy to him). Daily combing (extremely little on comb, no shed) and teeth brushing is 15 min. Regular vet and groomer (no mats he says). He is confident indoor dog. All of it is a commitment for his lifetime.
My childhood pet collie mix was not afraid of the vacuum cleaner, he actually enjoyed getting vacuumed to remove the undercoat. We used a comb for his " feathers" and around the ears. The result was wonderful and not as time consuming. This girl was so calm and good while you got her groomed and now looks fabulous.
What a perfect angel 😇 At some point in this dog’s life someone loved and cared well for her . I hope she is with a forever family and again being loved and well cared for ❤
Very well done for grooming this very calm rough collie. Shes absolutely beautiful. I've had 5 collies. None would of stayed this calm for such an intensive groom.
What a sweet soul! No, no, no, never, ever shave these babies! They have double coats. You have to be patient and work your way through the matts, if you find them, cut some of the worst and continue. Not alot of fun, lol. Have 2 current shelties and have had many shelties and collies, all colors, in the past. Great video! 🌸🌿💕
You all did an amazing great job on this beautiful female furr baby. The patience you both had truly is amazing for to be a positive outcome. She’s gorgeous, thanks to you. I know she has got to feel sooo much better. Prayers her surgery went well.
What a process, all done with love and supreme care. I knew there would be matting, so difficult, you guys know your stuff! The nails, and trimming of feet (etc.), immaculate! A transformation that involved SO MUCH HARD WORK YIKES! You guys are truly dedicated, looked like you had to have many "team members" to get through this process. Wherever you are, that community is LUCKY to have you! Will watch all your videos, thank you for being dedicated to rehabbing these lucky animals getting a new life... God bless!
Aww poor girl, I'm so glad she has been rescued. She looks like my Sophie who passed many years ago. She looks beautiful and hopefully more comfortable and loved. ❤
Everything was magnificent!! The groom, this beautiful sweetheart of a dog and the video, all magnificent!! Love the work, care, passion and compassion you all put into every video, thank you so much, your videos truly brighten my day!! #groomingangels #bestvideosftw #loveyouallsomuch!!! ❤❤❤
14:00 she is gorgeous already! Thank you for doing this wonderful work and for being so kind to this sweet, gentle dog. This is medical + spa treatment she deserves :)

La signora ha avuto molta pazienza e bravura ma anche il cane non si è mai ribellato.
I think at least some of that was because the dog was sedated.
For a dog that looks as if she has never been groomed before she was very well behaved.
Wondering if she was sedated?
Maybe even never rubbed or touched. Id have freaked out if my hairdresser was doing that to me id bute her for sure! 😂

As an owner of a rough collie ur right
Or a Shelty…
Got to comb out her feathers. Sweet loving dogs. Worth every penny spent on care.
Getting more and more beautiful.
Oooo toenails…
You worked a miracle on her!!!!
You are doing such a great job with helping these dogs. As a former groomer i have the upmost respect for you.

after not being groomed for a very long time, she stayed really calm. Amazing job! Beautiful dog 😍
What a beautiful dog. So patient and well behaved. You done a fantastic job, she looks fantastic!
Lovely dog

I have two of those, but the lizard Sheltie not the dog kind. Aka Pallas Glass Lizards. Scheltopusik is the Slavic name for them.
You are the most gentle, loving dog groomer. It seems to put the dogs immediately at ease into such a relaxed state. And you do a beautiful job always considering the welfare of the animal. Well done. It’s a pleasure to watch.

Not sure how this dog fell on hard times but she clearly well trained and familiar with being groomed. Fabulous job you did 🐕
So calm! Its great when you get to groom such well behaved dogs.
Omg what an absolute beauty. Her temperament does how much of an angel she is.
A beautiful girl. It always amazes me to watch these dogs get spa time and seems to love every bit of it.❤
Ein toller Hund nach einer tollen Arbeit! Ganz ganz toll gemacht. Chapeaux ‼️
Aaaw, what a sweetheart she is! So calm and well behaved during the entire process 😊 Amazing job, well done on bringing back her dignity after having been in an unfortunate situation for so long!
You guys were so gentle with her! Great job!
What a beautiful girl. She was so patient with all the new sounds and things being done
Can’t believe you didn’t use a de-matting brush instead of a slicker? Would’ve pulled that matted undercoat out in 1/3 the time. Only thing I really use on my Sheltie in shedding season. Pulls the undercoat out and leaves the top coat looking good.
What a good dog! She stands there so calmly. It must feel good to get off all that extra hair.
This is absolutely the most chilled out dog I ever saw!!!
What a patient dog, wonderful.
Thank you for taking the time and putting in the work to properly save the coat instead of shaving! 💚
The dog certainly seemed much happier without all that extra fur. What a great job and a great dog❤
What a beautiful temperament this dog has.... placid and friendly.
Omgoodness, this poor dog! She looked so miserable before. She's an absolutely beautiful lady now! Thank you for doing her breed justice!
This is the bestest dog I have ever seen when it comes to grooming 😮! I’m in awe!
That! Was one hard job. Wow, must have taken hours. You have transformed her well-being . Well done you.
I had a rough collie/GSD mix and she was gorgeous. I brushed her thoroughly every week and did a quick brush a couple of times between. She was always shedding but did love a pampering.

What a well-behaved dog is patient for such a long hair appointment? Your groomers are absolute artists.
What a great improvement! It is so good to see her pretty and clean!
Oh my gosh what a beautiful collie. So glad she got the care she needed
This sweet dog has such a great disposition with everything she/he is going through, poor thing … I’m so happy you are doing this for this dog and it’s new owner!!❤ much love!!
She was so sweet and patient for you! Collies are such wonderful dogs, so gentle and eager to please
Outstanding!! As always!
Thank you so much. Your support means a lot to us ❤️
Awwww! I had 2 rough collies growing up - 1 blue merle & 1 tricolour. So seeing this lovely lady, and the photo of your one, brought back some really treasured memories. I miss my boys so much 😢
That dog looks inordinately happy to have all his fur pulled on as he is being brushed out. Must be absolutely jonesing for care and love.
Amazing transformation, and what a well behaved dog! ❤
Aww what a sweetie! Reminds me of my sheltie who was matted when I got him and had to undergo a massive grooming session as well.
Collies are the nicest dogs. We brushed ours all the time especially during the summer. You could make a sweater with the hair.
Your skill, patience, and kindness are brilliant!!! This sweet collie girl certainly landed in a great place! And her temperament is amazing! I have collies -- absolutely love them!

You can clearly see two big smiles on the end from both your wife and the dog! 😊🎉❤
Aww, sweet baby! I know she feels so much better. I bet she’s ready for a long nap now. I’m sure she’ll sleep so much better too.
You all did an amazing great job on this beautiful female furr baby. The patience you both had truly is amazing for to be a positive outcome. She’s gorgeous, thanks to you. I know she has got to feel sooo much better. Prayers her surgery went well.
What is gorgeous experiment make over of collie! Just gorgeous !!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Bless her darling heart, the look of contentment on her face speaks volumes. Oh, lovely scissoring too, such a great job.
What a beautiful baby!! She definitely feels so much better❤
So beautiful. You are terrific!! Great job. I don’t know how long it took you to do this but it was worth it. This dog is gorgeous. ❤❤❤❤❤👏👏👏🦋
This is a beautiful and lovely dog. Glad to see she will have better care going forward ❤
So much fairy floss!! Bless that baby.
This dog is in unbelievable. So patient and so accepting. She also must feel that she is being helped or she would never allow all this.

She's so beautiful. I'm very glad that she wasn't too severely matted and has such a wonderful temperament so you could save her lovely coat.
