Thank you for this superb design. I made this - to the envy of friends who bought $$$$ tracksaws. Used it to install beadboard wainscoting and the seams were INVISIBLE. Incredibly tight tolerances. No way I would have pulled it off so quickly with clamping or using my tablesaw.
Why don't the big companies make something this simple, elegant and effective? They want us to think their expensive products are better. Personally, I think this saw guide is the best one I've seen so far. My only question is: how did you get the saw blade to be perfectly aligned? It needs to be within a few thousands of an inch.
After the saw blade makes the first cut, cutting off the excess of the base, the base will be perfectly aligned with blade. So in essence, it's self aligning.

I was a little worried about installing the blade after reading a couple of reviews. But it was amazingly easy. Took about 1 minute. Works great ruclips.net/user/postUgkxjpBI8OOeUXib_iT7UomCrQ-uauwZJ62c . Cuts easily and is perfect for pocket cuts I needed to make for replacing some old deck boards.
This is a great circular saw straight edge guide. I know this was posted two years back, so anyone’s answer along with the original makers will be appreciated. Is there any reason to leave the side away from the blade so wide? I figure running the saw down both sides would reduce storage space as well as the weight. Also, my two T-track/T-bars came in today and one is not as smooth as the other. Would you guys recommend running sand paper through the track or maybe just oiling it? Thanks for all reply’s.

He mentioned it at the bottom of his vide footnotes. This is what I found on Amazon for the T Track and T bar sold in combination: POWERTEC 71156 Aluminum T-Track 48 Inch Combo with Aluminum Miter T-Bar, you may get extra T tracks to make a longer saw track and cut the T bar to desired length for your saw

한국에서도 뛰어난 목공이 있어서 자랑 스럽군요. 50년전과 딴판이군요. 한가지 거들고 싶은 생각이 나는 군요. jig 의 뒷면에 sand paper 를 부치면 밑에 재료에 험집이 날 수 있지요. 샌드 페퍼 보다 나은 것은 Silicone ( caulk 용) 을 뒷면에 spreader ( 톱니 모양의 날이 달린) 로 얇게 바르면 마치 ( 24 시간 후에) silicone rubber 를 부친 것 같이 미끄러 지지도 않고 재료도 안전 하고 값도 싸게 들지요. 이 러한 예는 제도용 자의 뒷면에 미끄러 지지 말라고 실리콘 고무를 붙인 것을 보면 알 수 있지요. handyman 의 한 사람으로서 새로운 생각을 공유 하고 싶군요. 톱의 무게와 실리콘 고무로 재료를 clamp 할 필요가 없지요.

I used the Powertec 48 inch tracks (1219 mm), so that would be the length for those tracks. And the width was 12 inches (304 mm) setting the first track 1 1/4 inch (32 mm) from the edge. I used a long piece of aluminum that happened to be 7 cm wide and 1200 mm long clamping it in 4 spots to keep it from flexing , but anything close to that will work. Watch my separate comments on my issues using the 6 1/2 inch saw. Good luck.
This is exactly the type track system I want to build. I have been searching for the best metal tracks to use, and these straight side tracks are easiest to tweak. It seems that you can avoid shimming if you space the tracks a few thousands further apart.I will probably make some quick clamps to secure my saw to the sliding base, maybe not needed though. Thanks for the inspiration.
Initially I would agree about the cards. Then it occurred to me that it is sufficient to constrain the sideways motion of the runners using opposite sides of ether T-Track. So, after first screwing down the 2 tracks parallel, why not wedge each runner against opposite sides on it's respective track. Wedging against the outer sides I think minimizes sideways rotation. Slop could be set with copy paper or similar as a temporary shim. When wedging the runners before placing down on the double stick tape, and screwing to the carriage.

I built this with 1/2 inch plywood for the platform and the saw base, any thinner would flex too much. Unfortunately my 6 1/2 inch battery Dewalt codless saw DCS565B (depth of cut 2 1/8 inch ( 54 mm) is left with a remaining depth of cut of 0.6 inches (15 mm) under the platform, making it unusable to cut 3/4 sheets of plywood (0.7 inches or 18 mm thick actual and in reality one needs to have a remaining depth of cut of probably 0.8 inches (20 mm) or greater in order to adequately cut. Therefore, everything remaining the same, one needs to use a 7 1/4 inch (184 mm) saw with a 2 9/16 inch depth of cut (65 mm) to make this successful. Otherwise a great design.

There's several different names for then. "T-tracks, T-slots, miter tracks and miter slots." Shouldn't be too hard to find online. Hope this helps.

You don’t need to put the card on the gap, just add another piece in 1mm over another side, then won’t need to worry of the gap.

아래에 구매처 적어 놓았습니다.

T트랙 1200mm와 마이터게이지 각각 2개씩 구입해서 만드는 것이나
kreg에서 나온 원형톱가이드(accu cut kma2700) 를 구입하는 것이나 비용면에서는 거의 비슷하던데
T트랙으로 제작하여 사용 하는게 더 나을까요?
말씀하신 크래그 원형톱가이드는 안쓰봐서 잘 모르겠습니다만
t트랙 세트로 알리익스프레스에서 4~5만원에 구입가능 한데 실익을 따저보시면 될듯합니다.
