With the aid of his old friend, the rusty kettlebell in storage from years ago, he embarks on his new mission and doesn't give up. People grow old, but the spirit doesn't have to....the Spirit of Christmas. Thanks for this piece.

I'd never seen this ad until today. But me and my wife lost a combined 80+ lbs and got into shape when we found out that our baby grand daughter was about to have a brother. We knew we had to prepare! Everything is easier to do when you are lighter and stronger. Not athletes, but happy to be able to get down on the floor and back up again with the GK's....

Yes, I cried because nothing is as important than to respect the elderly in their need for the love of family!!!! Please pray for all mainly elderly Mothers left without any caring family support in old-age homes, frail-care units or worst of all in mental homes!!! As Mothers often outlive their male partners, healing is needed for most of them to receive back Love they gave to their Families. Please bring Healing to the Heart of elderly Mothers as this brings back the Power of Love into human families!!! ❤❤❤❤
Still brings tears. Very movingly...im turning 71 in December and blessed to see a great grand child this Christmas. Can't imagine if it were otherwise.
This is a Papaw, aged 67 years and on yeah, you got me choked up real good. My grandbabies live about 1200 miles away and I've never spent one birthday, one thanksgiving or one Christmas with them in the house. One is a teenager now and the other two are right at that doorstep. The last time I saw them and even touch em was a bit over 8 years ago so I know only too well how missing 98% of their lives feels. I wouldn't recommend it. If any of y'all out there have grandbabies around where you get to see em, touch em and witness them growing up in person, you have no idea how truly blessed you are.
I would to the Lord that I knew what to say.

Love the touch in the middle when he nearly gave up. He sees the guy next door carrying a tree and we're meant to think he just wants to be strong like that again. But it was seeing the tree itself that spurred him back on. Beautiful!

I wasn't even sure about what it was advertising and when he lifts up his granddaughter so she can put the star on the top of the tree it took me a moment to realise that's why he was practicing with the big weight all through the commercial.
I'm not even sure if it's advertising something we get here in The UK , but it's a sweet and charming enough Christmas ad.

I never understood why people would buy tickets to see a silent film. Now I know. Sometimes words aren't needed. In this case words would ruin the whole thing. i love the story and the way it's depicted.

This is sad of what he goes thru to see his granddaughter. The ad that got me the most is the German man that pretends he died to bring his children home at Christmas.

I’m 57, a firefighter of 25 years who isn’t supposed to have emotions like that. But, I have two daughters and two grandkids… and yes, I cried. Oh, and I’ve seen this dang commercial probably 20 times in the past… and I still cried. 😂
The older gent had shortly before the the start of this story a falling out with his adult daughter. This explains a lot about this story. His efforts are not only to make a special memory for his granddaughter, but also to regain his daughter's good graces.
This grandpa is lying in a hospital bed at this moment. I probably won't get another Christmas with my granddaughters. They are in their twenties or close to. I want them to come see me but I won't let them. I want them to continue their education and moving into their own place too being setting up the start of their career and new life. I don't want to slow them down by coming to see me all the time but they still do. I've been in lives since I witness their birth. I was in the birthing room when they were born. I love them so much.
I am an old guy now.
I have only one granddaughter who is an adult in her mid 20's now

Don't know if watching the Christmas ads in one go is a good idea... I'm red nosed and my cheeks are streaked with tears but it's a nice feeling losing it over these sentimental messages once a year!! Take care, everybody. Christmas will be different for many but it's important that we do what we can to make sure we're here to celebrate together next December!

Words can’t express the beauty of this short film! My papaw died 40+ years ago and some of my soul died as well. I was a very ugly, awkward,etc but HE kept me alive w/o knowing! He was the fire chief but he never was too busy for me! He always was the one I could depend upon. 😊The Lord knows what I’d have been w/o him! He was the first man I loved & I pray I told him enough!

Brilliant. We need more commercials like that one, today. I remember the '70's we had some Great Ad Agencies producing some memerable Ads.
I think they were better back then because brands/companies would spend months making one ad that had to last for the next 6 months to a year. These days, content creation is done on a weekly and sometimes daily basis.

Everything about this short ad/story is beautiful. It's about ones HEALTH to be able to enjoy life and family, it's about the true Spirit of Christmas and the GIFT and giving, it's about LOVE and FAMILY ❤. It got me peeling onions.
That is soooooo sweet. And I've almost move to tears )) But fiirstly I thought that he expects a newborn child in his family. But this Christmas story is even better that I could imagine.
