Your title says it does not show up in windows. Then you go into solving the problem by going into disk manager to fix the problem when the title says it does not show up in Windows. Doesn't that mean it showed up in Windows?

Hi there, thank you for your question! If your hard drive is not showing up in Windows, it is likely that there is an issue with the device or its connection to your computer. By using Disk Manager, you can check if the device is enabled, online, and has a drive letter assigned to it. You can also initialize, format, and partition the device if necessary. If you can provide me with more information about your situation I might be able to help more.

@@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware It only shows up in device manager and the BIOS. Even after renewing device drivers and it showing as working properly it does not show anywhere else. There doesn't seem to be any steps to resolve the problem.

Hi there, thank you for your question! If you have tried all the steps mentioned in the video make sure it is formatted as NTFS file system but if you do this remember to back up your data as it will erase all your data.

Hi. In method 7, how do you know the letter of the partition you want to repair if it doesn’t show in the disk management? If the disk is not initialized you don’t have any partition letters attributed to it, right?🤔

Hi there, thank you for your question! IF you can't find the drive at all and it still isn't appear I would recommend trying the steps mentioned at the start of the video to try get the drive to appear if it still isn't it is unlikely the later steps will help solve the issue.

Hi there, thank you for your question! Check the USB cable: Make sure that the USB cable you’re using to connect the hard drive to your PC is not damaged or faulty. Try using a different USB cable to see if that resolves the issue. Try connecting the drive to the pc with wondershare closed and see if it still crashes the pc ,if it doesnt try update the Drives for the HDD and scan for errors using the error checking tool.

What to do if the hard disk (a hard disk of an old laptop connected using a transparent case) is not even showing up in the disk manager and after I connect the hard disk to my laptop, the blue light in the case gets lit and I can hear some periodic clicking sound from the hard disk and after a few minutes the sound stops, please help

Hi there, thank you for your question! That noise is likely an indication of a mechanical issue with the hard disk. Since it's not recognized in Disk Manager and periodically clicks before stopping, try checking the connection, ensuring the hard drive is securely connected to both the enclosure and your laptop, and testing with a different USB port or cable. If that doesn't help, connect the drive to another computer or change the power source and see if that solves your issue. Otherwise you might need to replace the drive or take it to a professional for further assistance.

Hi there, thank you for your question! If you tried the other steps mentioned before and nothing is working I would recommend taking it to a professional for further assistance as its most likely an issue with the drive itself.

      Hi there,
If your external hard disk is not showing up in disk management, it's possible that there is an issue with the connection between the hard disk and your computer. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
      Check the cable and connections.
Check if the hard disk is spinning up.
Check if the hard disk is recognized on another computer.
      Check the power supply.
Try data recovery software. Download Recoverit here: bit.ly/3ZoowNK
If none of these steps work, it's possible that the hard disk has failed and may need to be replaced.

Hi there, thank you for your question. If your hard disk is read-only, and your PC is attempting to fix it without success, you can try the following steps to address the issue:
      Take Ownership of the Drive:
Right-click on the drive and select "Properties."
Go to the "Security" tab and click on "Advanced."
In the "Owner" tab, click on "Change" and set yourself as the owner.
Make sure to check the box that says "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects."
Click "OK" to apply the changes.
      Change Permissions:
In the same "Security" tab, click on "Edit" to change permissions.
Select your user account and grant it Full Control.
Apply the changes and check if you can access the drive.

Hi there, thank you for your question! Here are some extra steps you can try. Ensure that the USB cable is properly connected to both the external hard drive and your computer. Try using a different USB cable to see if that resolves the issue. Make sure that your computer’s drivers are up to date. If none of these steps worked I would recommend contacting the manufacturer for more help.
